Has anyone experienced losing shell access when PMP resets a password? Here is what I'm experiencing and hopefully I can receive some feedback as to what the cause is:
- I ssh into an ESXi (4.1) host as root - Create new user, pw, home directory etc - I then log in via vSphere Client as root - Give this newly created user Administrator permissions - I then confirm the account works by logging into vSphere Client and also SSH - Both are successful - I then add this new user account into PMP - I verify the password entered...verification successful - I then change the password in PMP...shows as successful - Verify password again...verification successful - I then log into vSphere Client with this user account....this works - I then attempt to SSH with this user account...this no longer works
Any idea as to what exactly is breaking my shell access when initiating a password reset via PMP? I'm afraid to implement password reset functionality until I can have a successful test on a Non-Root account (scared of locking myself out of the root credential)
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
