I have just installed OpManager in Windows 8 desktop. I got the alarm:- << OpManager has detected that it has lost network connectivity and has suspended all monitoring. Monitoring will be automatically resumed once connectivity is established. >> OpManager detect no interface in Windows 8 desktop? Why?
Newbie: Reducing emails when error occurs
Hi, I'm new to this site, so forgive me if this has already been answered. I've recently been tasked with looking at our opmanager setup. One of the things that stands out for me is the number of emails we receive. I know part of this is due to the person currently looking after the system not fully configuring the setup. I also think emails could be lowered if we didn't report on every issue, my idea would be something like this Opmanager detects issue (x1) waits 5 mins Opmanager detects issue

Erasing monitors on virtual machines (hyperv)
Hi there, After adding HyperV hosts all virtual machines are added to opmanager. Two questions: 1) How can i erase monitors from this machines; 2) Should I add SNMP monitoring on this machines also? (in "passwords" on the device page) Thanks. Pedro.
Problem picking up new cluster in virtual center monitor
Hi, I am running OpManager build 11600 and monitor our VMWare virtual machines through the VCenter. The problem i am having is that it doesn't seem to be picking up the fact that a cluster has been deleted and a new one created so i am missing ESX hosts and therefore not motioning all VMs. Is there a way to resolve this without having to delete the virtual center and re-add, as I don't want to lose any monitoring data? No Traffic on interface in Netflow
Hi, we are not able to see the traffic in Netflow for L3 interfaces which are configured with "ip flow ingress" at interface level and all other ports are L2 interfaces which are not configured with "ip flow ingree". Here we are able to see huge traffic in switch on the particular interface but in netflow no traffic is seen, can you let us know the solution/reason for the same.

opmanager centra and probe connection monitoring
Hy, In my centra I have to monitoring the probe status (when the probe go offline). I found that it's possible to associate an notification profile at the action "when any probe is down", but after this selection the program ask me the "device Group". I don't understand why the program ask the "device Group" and not understand if this is the correct way to check the probe status. thank you

RemoveDBEntries for OP Build 11500
Hi, I have opmanager build 11500, i need remove a device from database, because this appear as "error!", for this reason i can´t select it for delete. I know the RemoveDBEntries.bat, but this script is has used for 7 and 8 versions, there is any version compatible with 11500? OpManager v12 not recognizing Windows Server 2012 R2 host
I have a Windows 2012 R2 server that OpManager can ping and the credentials test succeeds, but it can't identify it as a server. If I manually associate it with the Windows Server 2012 R2 device template, the dials all work but it continues show the category as 'Unknown' and the Status as 'Device Not Monitored'.

Problem with adding HyperV Host
Hi, I have a device initialized as a virtual server, or it is a HyperV Host. So I tried to delete it and add it as a HyperV Host by using : Virtualization > add HyperV Host The problem is that the new device created refers to the old one deleted, even if I used the "add HyperV Host". So I went to the support, tried recommendation to add it, but still doesn't work. Can you please help me ? Regards.

Hi Team, 1) I have recently created a custom script monitor to monitor a LOG file. Which is going good and I am able to get the results in TEST SCRIPT option. But the problem here is, in the INSTANCE String if I have more than 85 characters, Opmanager is not creating an alarm for that. Need to know whether there is a character limit for the INSTANCE string in the output of a custom script monitor. 2) I need to know how can we display Message that we get from script out to alarm message. we
Error in Layer 2 discovery
Hello! I'm encountering problems trying to do a Layer 2 discovery against my gateway. I'm running OPmanager 12 with patch 12000_APIClientFix_May20th applied. In the user interface I only get the feedback "Device mapping does not exist for this object". I'm attaching a screenshot of this and the relevant log from opmanager_serverOut_0.txt as well. OPManager has no issues monitoring the same IP address and I've verified I can read the sysOid OID through the command line of the server. Please advise.
Unable show Windows Server RAM, HDD size

Clear message keeps coming as a mail
Hello, When we get an alert in opmanager, let's say it's a basic memory problem. After we get the alert we connect to the related server to check the services to reduce the memory and reduce it by removing the unnecessary services or restart the services. Then we get 1 clear alert in opmanager but the clear e-mail keeps coming. Any idea how to solve it ? Thanks in advance.

opmanager not connect at SD MSP
I have some probe installed from our customer. Some probe are correctly connected at our SD MSP, but two probe I'm not able to connect. The opmaanger give me an error (SD service not is running or user and password worng) but I use the same configuration that I use in the probe that are connected. Wich log I have to check in order to undestand where is the problem? There is an limit of number ov probe that I can connect at the Sd MSP? The probe need an license, or it's oly the central that are lincesed?
Notification profile for SQL Monitor bug
Hi, I am using OP Manager v11600 and while creating a notification profile for SQL servers, I discovered that if I select "MSSQL Monitor are down" & "MSSQL Services are down" and click next - on final review page it shows me " AD services & monitor" instead of SQL. Please check this issue.. TSS

Set scale of widgets on OpManager Dashboards?
Our IT department has a few TVs setup that we can all see with OpManager setup so we can monitor devices without having to go to OpManager on our own PCs all the time. The issue I am having is that the Widget "Real Time Bandwidth Utilization" scales up to the highest percentage of bandwidth used or down to the lowest. No data available on Utilization Widget
Hi, I recently edit some Cisco Router templates for CPU monitoring, using the "CPU Usage (1 min avg)" monitor (included on Vendor monitors) and not the defautl "CPU Usage (5 mins avg)", then I modify the file opmanager_snapshot_dial.xml and everything works fine, but when I add on the Home Page the "Device by CPU Utilization" widget and filter by type "Router" didn't show any device, same thing on the Switch devices. The monitor name for 1 min average is "AvgBusy1" and for 5 min average is "RouterCPUUtilization",

Opmanager 12 : Junk characters in interface Name
Hi all, i have an issue with device discovery in OPMANAGER v12. My current install is set on a US Windows 2012r2 Virtual server and Postgres SQL (french language interface). when I discover à device all the device interface name are set with junk characters.
