monitor quotas 2008-2012 file shares
We use quotas on 2008/2012 file servers to keep our minions from chewing through disk space like candy. We are comparing opmanager and two other products and we need to be able to not only monitor the partition usage but also the share usage (directories on the disk). as an example DISK E: size: 2TB then we have the following e:\shares\Share1 (200gb quota) e:\shares\Share2 (100gb quota) e:\shares\Share3 (50gb quota) e:\shares\Share4 (500gb quota) if we monitor E: (which can only ever get to 850GB
Notification Profiles - Run Program and Run System Command not working in OpManager
Good afternoon, We are experiencing some issues when using "Run Program" and "Run System Command" notification profiles in OpManger. In fact, neither of them are actually working. We tried to test actions and an emergent window said the command executed properly, but in fact it does nothing. We tried running a batch file in the /bin and in the root directory, then we tried to execute the commands through the "Run System Command" option but it didn't work too. We are currently using OpManager V11

- At work we have OpManager 11600 LEE with 50 devices. - Each device has an average of 1300 interfaces. - Each device has a single custom template I have a script that loops through each device and update his template (updateDeviceTemplate) with an average of 500 custom monitors,after that the script update the device with the custom template (associateDeviceTemplate) and finishes. steps to enable third-party SSL in OpManager
running v12.1 I am following the steps to enable third-party SSL in OpManager located here, http://help.opmanager.com/enabling_ssl. I have finished all the steps (including step 8), except for the setp 7, Configuring Tomcat. I can't seem to find the magic directory listed in the documentation, OpManager_Hometomcatconfbackup. I have tried to create the Tomcat\conf\backup folder structure in C:\ManageEngine\OpManager\conf\OpManager\ as well as C:\ManageEngine\OpManager\conf and then copy the modified

vm's not being deleted in Opmanager v12.1 on Hyper-V server
We deleted 18 vm's from our Hyper-V server, but in Opmanager on the hyper-v server it is still showing vm's we deleted. We added the hyper-v host settings->discovery->add hyper-v. The monitoring is set for 5 mins, we deleted the vm's on the hyper-v host 2 hours ago. Opmanager does have it classified as a hyper-v host. Is there a patch needed for this or is there a setting that needs to be changed. We currently only have 1 hyper-v host. We will be adding on our vCenter server into Opmanager and that

Hello, I am using OpManager 12. I have a server that I need to monitor that I do not have SNMP, WMI, or any other access to other than ICMP. I can add the device, and I can see two stats. availability and packet loss. I would like to configure a monitor such that when packetloss exceeds 20%, I am notified. Pretty much all the monitors I have seen are based on polling data pulled from the device via SNMP or WMI, and I can not seem to find a simple 'ping' threshold that I can assign to the device.

Clear alarms won't stop
Hi, Recently we've run into a problem where a device will generate and alarm and once the alarm has cleared I keep getting repeated clear notifications. I've tried restarting the machine but it has no effect. The only way I can seem to stop the alarms is to remove the device or monitor and re-add it. Obviously I don't want to do this as it means that we lose the historical data, has anyone else seen this type of behaviour and is there a fix? My OM version is build 11600 and it's a fully licenced version.

vCenter discovery issue
Hi Support, I have a new installation of OpM v12 on a stand alone server. I have added vCenter by IP address, DNS Name was resolved properly but Type and Vendor are set to unknown. When trying to set manually I have only option to set the type to VMwareVirtualMachine, there is no vCenter option. Can you please recommend a solution so our server can be discovered properly? OPManager's schedule report suddenly stopped mail report to me.
Two years ago I have set the OPManager to mail a schedule report every morning at 7:00. And I have been receiving a mail every day till a month ago. And then suddenly the report mail stopped. I noticed this last week and checked the settings but nothing has been changed. Cold someone tell me 1.Is this happen occasionaly on OPManager? 2.How can I prevent from stopping the report?
Difficults to create sound notifications
Dear, We're trying to create a sound alarm on Opmanager, but it doesn't work. We create a "Run program" calling java to execute the audio file, but it doesn't work. Please can someone show me how to reconfigure the sampling time of my opmanager Db for the inflow traffic and outflow traffics so that the initial sample time daily is exactly 12:00:00 am. Missing translation when trying to add the google map v12.1
I downloaded and extracted the gmaps.zip file and then uploaded the map.htlm file on the google maps in the maps view. This was the text that was displayed in Internet Explorer. Disconnection of Probe with the OPMC
Hi , There is a frequent disconnection of site probe from OPMC.This gets reconnected once the services are rebooted always.Tried the IntDB from the path C:\ManageEngine\OpManagerProbe\pgsql\scripts but still the same. Enclosing the Screenshot for your understanding as well. There are no errors in the EV of server or OPMC which states any connectivity or issues at the other end or server's perspective. SQL has encrypted mdf files
Hi, we were hacked by a very bad virus today. Which my one of my I.T. staff decided to tell me our last backup of the sql databases is 12 days old. The virus has encrypted the mdf files, but not touched the ldf files. Also our T-log backups are not available but we have a full t-log from the original server. Is there any way we can take a 12 day old backup of the mdf files and some how bring it up to date by importing the ldf files?

Running v12 and notice there are no longer any any graphs and historical data for cpu/memory utilization for process monitors? Am I missing that? Larry
OPManager will not uninstall
I tried the 30 day Demo and now I need to uninstall the OPManger software. I've shutdown the client and selected uninstall on the Startup Menu for OpManager. But, instead of uninstalling, the program attempts to install and fails. Any help?

I have a quick question, I have installed 12 ee and I saw that 12.1 is out. Should I install it over the top of the 12 or do a complete reinstall? Will I be able to import the database? Thanks Chuck
URL Monitor - How to change the name?

WE are a small MSP and have several small customers. OPManager is great for monitoring but we need a remote probe solution. The problem is that we can't buy the Ent Edition. This is out of budget. Are there any plans to integrate probes at the Essential Edition?
Adding vmware servers - Best Practice
Hi, What is the best practice when adding vmware servers/hosts (these are the vms which are running linux/windows)? The reason is, our license shows a max of 150 devices and Virtual Devices Monitoring as unlimited Hosts. We are currently unable to add any hosts as we are at 150 devices. Are unlimited hosts the vms running linux/windows or something else? Thanks
virtual machine Template - CPU, Memory Thresholds
Now that we have converted the vSphere Virtual machines into the new UI, can you tell me how I adjust their thresholds? We have a VM alerting for 82% memory, which in this case is pretty good (no need to take action). So I would like to adjust this alert for this one VM. Is that possible, or do I have to modify a virtual machine template?

Network Monitoring Not Updating
I'm testing out the Network Monitoring feature of OpUtils. I have entered a server's IP and it shows the server as running. However, it keeps showing the server as running, even after the server is shutdown. The refresh period is set to 1 minute. Even after bouncing the OpUtils service, it continues to show the server as running. Please advise.
Trigger a Workflow using performance monitor
Hi, Is there a way to trigger a workflow on a particular performance monitor? At first glance i does not seem possible, when the workflow is applied to a device, I can't select a particular threshold, for example the CPU usage. So the workflow is triggered on every type of performance monitor alarm like memory usage or disk space but I need it only when the CPU usage generates an alarm. Interface Traffic Low_threshold alert configuration
Hello Support, I have configured Interface traffic's High threshold alert by using Interface templates and it was working fine. and i am getting mail alert when the traffic goes beyond high threshold percentage,good. The same way i want to configure low threshold also, because whenever interface traffic degradation happens i can get mail alert.
