New Device Template not displaying CPU or Memory Utilization
I have just created a new device template for a NETAPP device and loaded the new MIB's for CPU utilization. This has been added to the monitors list on the device, but the CPU Utilization Dial shows No Data Available. How do I link this new OID SNMP Monitor with the Dial? Thanks Shaun
Downtime Scheduler switching devices to "unmanaged"
Hi The downtime scheduler is creating some problems. What happened: The downtime scheduler stopped working correctly. It turned my devices to unmanaged (I guess this is how it works) and then didn't switch them on again. All devices in the resp. business view stayed unmanaged. The downtime scheduler showing type "finished" ?!?!? Status: Enabled Downtime Frequency: Every Day Starting from: 2007-11-13 How come? Could this have happened after importing devices (printers), where the host name was missing
Schedules Reports not generated
We had set up some scheduled reports and they worked fine, but none where generated this morning when we expected them. When I go to view reports in the report scheduler I see the previous reports, but not today's. Where should I start in troubleshooting this?
devices disappearing and interface deletion
I've rebuilt opmanager a few times recently from scratch in the hope to get away from a few bugs, but i seem to have a few recurring ones. The first is when you try and migrate devices from one infrastructure container to another they randomly disappear! I tried to migrate ten switches into a new folder and only 5 made the journey and the other three vanished! The second is to do with the deletion of interfaces. This all seems to be fine for the first few switches added but then around the 30+ mark
Business View Custom Icons
I have searched the forums and found that in January, it was stated that it was not possible to add more than a single image for custom icons in business views. Has this been addressed since then? I have not seen a way to have multiple custom icons. Thanks Shaun
Changing device background with MapMaker
In version 6 of Opmanager-MapMaker, I was able to resize the square/circle/diamond behind the devices. The square/circle/diamond would have handles to resize. Version 7 of MapMaker will not allow me to make any change and I'm only able to choose from the installed square/circle/diamond. Is there a way to resize them or can I add my own backgrounds? What folder would they go in and what would I need to adjust to see them in the drop down list? Thanks all

Can I maniuplate the size of the background diamond/square/circles with build 7202? I used to be able to reduce their sizes using Map Maker but the 7202 verison doesn't allow me to . Also, can these backgrounds be replaced with my own .png images?
Status of net devices down after patch 7202
I uninstalled patch 7202 and everything works fine, please help. I moved from 7200 to 7202 and then reverted back to 7200. Regards Samad
Restore database from Linux to Windows
I have opmanager in Linux. And I want to move opmanager from Linux to Windows. Opmanager backup size is about 150MB. Windows computer's specification: RAM: 256M CPU: 1.8MHz It has been running since yesterday 3:00PM. Also there are many mistakes in the log file. Is the any difference in Linux/Windows opmanager database? How long time will it run? Do you have any calculate method?

Hi All -- Due to SAN I/O issues I had to move OpManager to another (dedicated) LUN (from C: to F: ). To accomplish this I: 1. stopped the OpManager services on our Windows 2003 server and copied the OpManager folder to another location. 2. then re-installed OpManager pointing it to F:\program files\adventnet\me\OpManager; once installed I started it and OpManager functioned like a new install would. 3. then shutdown services and copied the ...\conf, ...\users, and ...mysql\data folders from the copy
Generate report to display all devices serial no.
Hi Support, Is there any report to display the serial numbers of all the devices? I have entered the serial numbers of all my devices under the Device Notes->SerialNumber field. If theres no such report, can you provide the sql statement to extract from the msql db. Thanks.
Not collecting any network data after 7202 patch
After I installed the 7202 patch, OpManager is no longer collects any data from the network cards connected to it. I have good reason to believe this is cause by a database problem. OpManager only has about 20 servers and it will be no loss if I lose the old traffic graphs. How do I delete, and rebuild the network interface section of the mysql database? -Adam

Trap shows in MIBbrowser but not in Create Trap Processor
Hi, I'm trying to create trap processor from MIB file but OPM says no trap defined. But when I open the MIB file using MIB Browser I can see list of traps. Appreciate any help.
tyring out proxy ping
so after installing i try proxy ping setting my router's ip address, either one of two snmp RW communities, and a destination ip. simple enough it seems, but i get the following two errors depending on what community i try: E2001: No response to SNMP queries - [router ip] E1001: Unknown host - [router ip] now granted, i'm a noob, so i'm probably missing something here. i know i have access to the router from this pc because i can access it via ssh or telnet without issues. i've installed oputils

cpu/memory/disk utilization not saving/cant enable
Hi I am not able to add disk/memory/cpu utilization for windows servers(SNMP enabled).If i edit the threshold value, rearm value and enable monitoring also,its not getting saved, it shows not enabled. Adding new devices/templates etc.
Hi, I am currently evaluating opmanager and Netflow analyzer to add to Service Desk plus we already have. Opmanager in particular doesn't have a fair few of the devices I need to monitor available to it. This are Ricoh printer/copiers, Riello UPS's, Elitecore Cyberoam CR1500i UTM devices and none of my switches which are all Extreme Networks Summit 200/250/350/450 series. Has anyone already set these up and could give me some pointers? Cheers

Network overview dsiplay no availibility data
when login onto OPM7 SP1 + 7101 hotfix and opening Network tab (between overview and servers tabs) I get not availability data displayed. Why? Also looking at a way to analyse lan traffic with OPM7 anyway to do this? Maybe via an add-on?

WMI Process Monitoring
Just a question. When I setup process monitoring (using WMI) to monitor specific process's on a system, are those PID's static or will they change if the process is stopped/started or the system rebooted? I'm particularly interested in vendor specific processes.
Disk queue monitor
I have a few queries 1. The Probe servers displays all values for all servers while the same data is not shown in the central i,e letx say in server A i am getting cpu,mem and disk values in the probe but only cpu is displayed in the central . Repairing the db had no effect the problem persisted. 2.Can i monitor Disk queues, if yes plz provide the link for doing so. Thank you

Hi Our OpManager checks a router and his interfaces. The router has a 2Mb line to Customs Belgium (Serial0/0:0) and Customs Holland (Serial0/0:1). When one of the two Serial interfaces is down we get a notification mail like this: Message: Serial0/0:0 is down Device: 172.31.1.4 - Router to Belgium and Holland Category: Router Error Condition: Trouble Generated at: Feb 23,2005 09:36:43 AM But in the weekends, when we get a notification mail, for example at 4.00 AM, it is not always possible to know

dear all, I have installed linux agent from OP Manager in one of my linux machine. After a while, a message appear : "File pointer is NULL while trying to read ./stat" Then the linux agent can't be access anymore from web using port 8040. The interface graphs are not show for CISCO ASA 5510
I have a problem with the interface graphs when I use OPManager 7202 for monitoring one CISCO ASA 5510 firewall. It shows in all graphs: traffic, errors, discard "Sorry, no data available for Graph. Try other options". When I used OPManager 7 this problem isn�t present.

I am able to see the homepage without login by using the url 'hxxps://ipaddress/jsp/Login.do?userName=admin&password=password&clienttype=html'. However when I click on any Infrastructure View (routers, servers, etc), it will not show any devices and total count ?????. Attached is the screenshot. If I access through the login page then everything is normal. Currently I am on build 7200. The same issue occurs when I was on build 7027.

Device Template Editing Error
When I goto Admin -> Device Templates -> Windows 2003 I just get the word "Error!' on the page that comes up. I also get it when I try to edit a few others like Macintosh, Windows, and Solaris. I can edit some others just fine, like Cisco products and some custom ones I made. Anyone run into something like this before? Thanks, John

Hi, I am trying to add a custom monitor for predictive failure of DELL RAID card. The OID is 1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10893.1.1.200.570.0 This trap should send a message if a hard drive has a problem in the RAID configuration. It is a very important point to watch. Specific MIB is added in the MIB folder of probe and central. OID is added in the probe SNMP Trap processor Custom monitor is added in the central. Dear all, When I started the service, then opened the web client, nothing happened. I only can a blank page without any error messages.
