devices disappearing and interface deletion
I've rebuilt opmanager a few times recently from scratch in the hope to get away from a few bugs, but i seem to have a few recurring ones.
The first is when you try and migrate devices from one infrastructure container to another they randomly disappear!
I tried to migrate ten switches into a new folder and only 5 made the journey and the other three vanished!
The second is to do with the deletion of interfaces. This all seems to be fine for the first few switches added but then around the 30+ mark it all goes wrong. When you select an interface and hit delete it just fails.
The third is on the 'discovery'. I keep running the discovery wizard, it finds devices and claims to have added them but if i run the discovery wizard again new ones are found. It seems to add about 60% of the ones it finds and it takes another discovery to add more.
..another annoying 'feature' i discovered is when i move a device between containers all the interfaces i previously deleted are all re-added.
Is this something to do with mysql? would it run better on MS SQL express or do i need a full sql server license?
The server itself never goes above about 10% on any of its 4-cores and disk queues are non-existent so it can't be that.
I'm starting to get quite frustrated with this product as i've had to rebuild in the past due to it suddenly re-categorising all my switches as desktops and then if you try and move them back the device vanishes.
We need a product that is 100% reliable and i'm starting to think we may need to look elsewhere...
