HotFix 7202 Released

HotFix 7202 Released

Hi All,

We are happy to announce the release of the much awaited HotFix 7202. It needs to be applied over build 7200 or 7201. There were few exciting features in this release along with the fixes.

Features Available:

1. Custom Infrastructure can inherit the monitors of the default selected categories.

For example, you can create an Infrastructure view called Exchange that can inherit server monitors thus allowing you to keep your exchange dashboard, intact.

2. Support for Windows 2008.

We officially announce that OpManager 7 can be installed windows 2008. At the same time, you can monitor Windows 2008. A new device template for Windows 2008 has been created.

3. Provision to delete custom monitors from UI. Earlier, we have to delete custom monitors only from the database.

4. In the Add Bulk threshold configuration page - equals check is included in the rearm value. This will be useful when you create multiple custom monitors from Device Template.

ISSUES THAT ARE FIXED:

1. Database table corruption issues fixed.

Data-dictionary.xml file was getting frequently corrupted leading to a lot of DB related problems. This has been handled.

2. Issue of IP Address not getting updated for the devices in the DHCP environment, is now handled.

Due to DHCP confusion, OpManager will update the ip as 0.0.0.0 making the device completely unusable. Hence, we were forced to delete the device to fix it.

3. VMWare related issues are fixed.

In build 7200/7201, CPU/Memory dials for Esx Server were not showing up. Disk I/O and Network I/O was showing NA.

4. Memory Utilization will show correct values.

Earlier, we had an conflict in values between true data collection of Memory and Test Monitor.

5. Business View Status will reflect the correct status of its devices.

6. You can associate Service Monitors via Quick COnfiguration Wizard without any issues.

7. Availability Report back to normal. You can take reports that shows the uptime/downtime in day-wise, by hours etc. In 7200, we were showing the report in percentage. Most of our clients thought it was little confusing.

8. You can load traps from Mibs without any issues.

9. Issue in displaying utilization reports for last 7/30 in MSSQL database, is fixed.

10. Server health report for a business view will display reports correctly.

11. All servers disk usage report will be listed in alphabetical order when the report is scheduled.

12. Interface traffic was not displayed if ifspeed is not configured. This is handled now.

Download the HOTFIX from HERE and follow the instructions to upgrade OpManager to the latest edition. As always, Backup the data before any upgrade.
