how do i add the priv1.stm file to the info store used disk space monitor on the MSExchange monitor? exchange uses both the priv1.edb and the priv1.stm but only the priv1.edb is being monitored.

Hi All, I am going on a bit of a posting rampage so apologies for that. I understand the probe writes/pushes data to the Central server every 30 secs and reads/pulls data every 5 secs. 1. What is the purpose of the read? is it for Central Server uptime acknowledgement? 2. What happens when the central server or the wan link fails and the probe cannot contact the central server, does the probe store its information locally and then dump the info once the connection is re-established? or does it lose
Change Between Days - Disk Storage Report.
I would really LOVE (if I repeat it multiple times will it happen faster?) to see a feature in the daily disk usage reports that shows the percent change in available disk space. e.g. -1% or +3%. This would be extremely useful in determining disk usage. Also, another column that perhaps showed change in the last week, last month, etc. David.
Cisco 6509 cpu Oid is different
My Cisco 6509 switch doesn't response to the CPU Utilization Monitor of the OpManager. It is because the switch doesn't response to this OID: ".1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.58.0" As I find that my switch responses to this OID: "1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.5.9" and returns the cpu utilization value, can I change the corresponding OID of the OpManager for this device?
Create a snaphot of key monitors from multiple devices?
Hi, I use many tools (MRTG, SERVERSALIVE, AWSTATS,...) to create a one html page dashboard that refreshes every 5 minutes using html code. e.g. graphs showing WAN utilisation, www site connecions, SQL transactions. Plus Traffic lights showing availabilty of node and services all on one page. Is this possible with Opmanager? Thanks Gary

An interface with this IP already exists for the device
We have routers on our WAN that have WAN interfaces and Internet interfaces on separate circuits. We would like to monitor availability of the Internet interfaces across the internet instead of through the WAN. When we try to add them as separate devices we get the error "An interface with this IP already exists for the device {ip address of WAN interface}". While I am sure that this behavior is by design to keep people from accidentally adding devices multiple times, I find this limiting in this

i have opmanager v7 and need to add priv1.stm to the information store mailbox monitors. exchange server uses both priv1.edb and priv1.stm on the private information store, however opmanager is only looking at priv1.edb.
Can't remove added monitors
Hello! I've modified the device template "Linux" and added a view new monitors like "Free Disk Space" and "Processor Temperature". They were grabbed by all linux device in the op manager. Now I want to remove these monitors from some devices. After clicking the remove button I get the message "Graph deleted successfully" but the monitor is still in the list. What am I doing wrong?? Custom reports and database queries
I have recently installed OpManager Version7 and I am still not happy with the reports it produces so I have the requirement to be able to create my own, my question is how can I query the database from an application like Crystal reports. I have installed SQL admin tools on the local machine but so far have not been able to connect to the database, can someone please give me some advice as to how I can get connected? How to add monitor a table in performance monitor????
Hi there, Anyone done this b4? I want to add to performance monitor a table instead of a graph? I am able to generate a table e.g. ipNetToMediaTable (.1.3.6.1.2.1.4.22) from the MIBs browser but when I add it to performance monitor it doesnt show anything. There was no data available. As raised by our helpdesk group who monitors using OpManager. 1. Is there a way an alarm can be escalated from an attention to trouble to critical? 2. Is there a way to attach the notification profile to play sound and be able to hear it even we only use internet explorer of another PC and not monitoring on the server itself? 3. Is there a way to be able to collect daily events? like number of occurrences of an alarm per day. 4. In the reporting graph made by the reports, what does the 95th means?
Op Manager 7 / Cisco Catalyst Alarm problem
I am getting the following alarm on Op Manager 7 relating to errors on a Cisco port: -- Errors rate for Port GigabitEthernet6/40 is 4.042%, threshold value for this monitor is 1% -- When I try to clear the alarm, I get the following error: -- webclient.fault.alarm.clear.status.failure -- When I try to delete the alarm, I get the following error: -- Problem in deleting alarm! -- This is a big problem, because I am unable to clear the "Trouble" status for this switch, therefore I cannot use a Notification
Some interfaces can't be shown or added
Hi, On one of my Cisco Catalyst 2950-24SX after discovery I can see only 15 interfaces of 24. Rest of them present after re-discovery but can't be added. After query: update MetaTable set ENDTIME=UNIX_TIMESTAMP(NOW()) where lookuptablename = 'ifraw' and endtime=-1; 16th interface was added but not more. I reapplied query above again and again but no sucess Moreover in Metatable field with lookuptablename = 'ifraw' and endtime=-1 appears again. Please help
How to customise events !
Hi, How i can customize in opmanager for some events not to read or grap all the critical error .. or not to show or display as error on opmanager screen... For ex. I have print server connect to one of server, when ever any failure in print for one user report as error, which i can ignore. Network map or business view
OpManager by default creates network map for routers and all connected networks. But I need to see links between switches and other network devices. As I understand I need to use Business View for this purposes. Is it possible to automate links location or I must draw them manually? Manual drawing is sophisticated because I have a quite large network. And I need to have information about connections. Where is this information stored? So, how such network map can be provided for me? Is there another
When typing in password no data is received
Hi, We have installed some probes on windows 2003 small business server, but if we type in a password for the domain then it say's data not available in the system resource usage. We are also having some trouble pushing the remote control to the servers and on the servers where we can install the remote control is very slow, is their a way to speed it up, think it is a problem with encryption, is it possible to disable that?

CPU or memory Utilization not showing up
Hi, Problem: Monitors for CPU or Memory Utilization are not showing for all Switches. problem is that on same switch snapshot I have already configured to monitor CPU and Memory utilization, however snapshot is only showing CPU or in other switches it only shows memory. OpManager 7.0 build #7010 - Apply without GUI in Linux?
Is there a way to install build 7010 without the use of UpdateManager.sh? I don't have a way to use the graphical interface and the server is remotely installed. Thanks in advance!
OpManager 7 -- deleting a server
For various reasons I had to delete the definition of a server, and then add the definition back in. The delete seemed to work, but when I add the server back in it says the device already exists. But I cant find the device anywhere! 1. The network view doesnt show all devices on the subnet, even if such devices show up under servers etc. How do you force the network view to update? 2. How do I clear the problem of a definition that exists, but doesnt seem to show up anywhere? Thanks Nick.
Opmanager 7 -- not able to delete a monitor
I added a server, and added a monitor on a disk partition. I set a threshold, and an alarm was generated because the threshold was violated. Subsequent analysis showed that I should not have been monitoring that particular partition. I deleted the alarm, and deleted the monitor. However, the monitor refuses to remove. I dlete it, but the redisplay still shows the monitor. And it is still monitoring -- it is not some ghost. How do I delete this monitor?
Wrong "time" after upgrading 7010
Hello, Today, i installed the 7010 Upgrade on my OpManager. After the installation was successful, some parts of the text were wrong. For example: Before the upgrade in the right above corner at the "Home" page of my OpManager, there was the option "last 12 hours", "last 24 hours" and so on. But now there is only webclient.reports.timeframe.last12hrs webclient.reports.timeframe.last24hrs webclient.reports.timeframe.today webclient.reports.timeframe.yesterday webclient.reports.timeframe.last7days
Icons missing on new Business view
When I create a new map in version 7 I can place the devices on the map and change their icon to the device icon but they do not show on the screen after you save the view. When you go to the new business view it shows the number of devices but the icons do not show on the map. The really weird part is if you cannot see the devices on the map but if you mouse over the map the details of the device pops up. I even tried giving the map a background image and that shows but the device icons do not.

I get the alerts but the thresholds are wrong. OpManager 7 -- scheduled reports are blank
I installed Opmanager 7004, and scheduled reports were all blank. I upgraded to 7010, and now some reports have data, but some are still blank. In particular, Server_Least_Volume is still blank. Thanks Nick.

Hi. How can i customize a snapshot dial to be numeric, as the connection count in the firewall snapshot?. I have tried to copy the configuration for the firewall dial in opmanager_snapshot_dial.xml for a custom device type that i have created (ironport C100), but the dial that i get is a pie chart with a percentage, like the disk usage dial. Error: webclient.fault.alarm.clear.status.failure
I get the above error while trying to clear an alarm on a node. No matter what I do, I can't clear the alarm - I always get the above error message. If I try to delete the alarm, I get "Problem in deleting alarm!". I don't want to remove/re-add the node because I don't want to lose the stats. What can I do?
Map Detailed View Flag Icons
I have OpManager 7 installed on RHES. When i look at Map and detailed view every memory, cpu and disk flag is grey (see attached). Should these be coloured depending on the status? Anyone else have this?
Domain Controllers Add-On Expired?
So, the Domain Controller add-on was in the trial version of OpManager 7010 I was using. I applied my license to OpManager which doesn't include the DC add-on. Now when I click on domain controllers I get the message "Active Directory Monitoring Add On Feature is not licensed." Okay. But that is all it shows. What happened to my normal panel for this system? I used to (in 6) get just the normal display. How do I get that back? David.
OpManager not successful at polling nodes via SNMP
I just installed 7 on CentOS 5. Discovered the nodes ok, but OpManager isn't polling the nodes successfully. I have monitors configured, but they don't report anything, so I tried to test the monitor via the GUI and it reports back "The monitor did not respond to the test request". I tested the same OID in the MIB browser, and it worked fine. I then checked to make sure the credentials were the same. I checked and rechecked a bunch of times, cut and pasted the community I entered into the credential

Downtime Scheduler
Is it possible to use the downtime scheduler on a monitor in a specific device or is there another way to go around this problem? If it was possible to create a dummy device i could add the url monitor i want to that device and include the device in the scheduler, but it seems its not possible to create a device that doesn't exist. The url monitor option under admin would be a solution because its possible to add those to the scheduler, but on the other hand i can�t connect any notification profiles
CPU and Memory Utilization dial contain no data available
Hi there, I added a custom device template for my machines (win2003server). After I applied the machines to use this template, the CPU and memory utilization dials has no data available, whereas the rest are fine. When i switched back to the default Windows 2003 template, the dials appear again. Any idea? Thanks Robby

Hi, We have the 'Any System Failure' rule on. However there are a few system 'failures' which are not (like RDP printer driver not available etc.). Is there a way we can apply an extra filter.
