An interface with this IP already exists for the device
We have routers on our WAN that have WAN interfaces and Internet interfaces on separate circuits. We would like to monitor availability of the Internet interfaces across the internet instead of through the WAN. When we try to add them as separate devices we get the error "An interface with this IP already exists for the device {ip address of WAN interface}".
While I am sure that this behavior is by design to keep people from accidentally adding devices multiple times, I find this limiting in this situation.
Is there a workaround for this behavior?
