Bulk SNMP monitor - Need OID type setting
I am polling a current value (i.e. bigip current connections on a certain VIP). I also use MRTG (bought OPmanager this month) with the "guage" option so it graphs the value returned and did not turn it into a rate. It matched the BIPIP web client performance graphs perfectly. How do I force OPmanage v7 to do the same. If this is not available it should be!
Snapshot Graph problem/question
On maqny of my Servers, I am getting yellow "Dependent Unavailable=100" bars on the graph instead of "up=100". And I am not getting any data for the Response Time and Packet Loss graphs. The servers' SNMP settings are correct and other data is being generated. The servers do have a Dependency configured but it is showing Up.

Please, what is the opmanager equivalent of snmpget? I can use snmpget from the server on which OpManager is installed and get a response from a device. If I create a monitor and use the same information I do not get a response. Thanks in advance

Interface Graphs deosnt show
We have a problem with the Newtowrk Interface Graph with all devices. The Graph doesnt show and the following message is displayed : Sorry, no data available for Graph. Try other options On the other hand, graph work with CPU/Memory monitor.
Desktops view doesn't show IP Address
With Opmanager v7, desktops view only shows devices name. With Opmanager v6 we had the ip address too. Why isn't it possible with opmanager v7 ?

I try to do operation with OID when i create a custom monitor but it doesnt work example : add custom monitor and in OID place i tape (1.3.6.x.x.1 + 1.3.6.x ) * 8 I see this on default monitor like interface... Apache Service won't start
Hi After a reboot after a scheduled power outage I can no longer start eh apache service and therefore OpManager won't start. The error I get on my w2k3 servers event log is: The Apache service named reported teh following error: Syntax error on line 57 of c:\program files\adventnet\me\opmanager\apache\conf\htpd.conf and "Serverroot must be a valid directory" This is a valid directory, however there aren't 57 lines in the conf file - more like 40. Please help?

Hi, I have been using your product for a few weeks and was monitoring some custom windows services without a problem. Whenever the services went down we were notified. Now however the system only monitors if the system is none responsive. It doesn't seem to monitor any windows services, it doesn't change status in op manager and no email alerts. Problems reading SQL informations
We have Opmanager 7020 installed on Windows 2003 server and we can't see the information that SQL monitor gives. The only thing that shows it's N/A.

For SQL Server 2005 adding MSSQL monitor, service and ie Cache hit ratio then try to Add DB no DB found (I ran wmiadap /f several time on server, remove all monitors restarted OPM with no luck even if opm didn't asked for it as it usually do) For SQL2000 adding MSSQL monitor, service and ie Cache hit ratio then choosing DB works ok Then dashboard display no data even after two
SD Plus Integration in OPManager
When I test my connection to the SD Plus server I get the following error: Unable to fetch values from ServiceDesk Plus, The server might not be running or the network traffic may be too high. I have double checked all the parameters and the server is running. Any ideas?

Unable To Connect To DB From Remote System (Crystal Reports)
Hello, We followed the instructions below to attempt to connect to the OpMgr DB from Crystal reports. If we are logged into the local OpMgr machine, we can access the DB. Unfortunately, we cannot access the DB from any remote server, such as the CR server. Is this a limitation with the "root" user. Can we add an additional user? We're really going through all of this because of the "availability reports" limitiation of only giving us the option to show 24 hrs or 8am to 8pm. We would like to report

Windows Service Monitor in down state
I recently upgraded from version 6 to version 7. It appears everything went fine but when I tested the system I see problems. I stopped a service on one of my servers. When I click on the device in OpManager the Windows Service shows as Down but the Device Status is Clear. I have played around with Notification profiles and Escalation settings but nothing is working. Can someone please let me know what to do so I don't have to restore my ghost image.

Devices not discovering / Devices going missing
I am currently using the free version of OpManger. I have Discovered the devices I need to. A couple of them are still being put in to the Desktop Category despite being 2003 boxes. I have verified all snmp settings are on and correct. The next problem is, domain controllers keep vanishing. I have checked all the default categories and they are no where to be found! The devices are still up and running. I have tried rediscovering the devices that go missing but OpManager says I have already used
OOB Monitors appear to be missing
I just upgraded my opmanager to 7021 and now when I try to add a performance monitor to a server, there are not in the list. All I get is a single line of text saying click here to add a custom monitor. Right now I am trying to add a simple disk usage monitor to a newly discovered server. Furthermore, if I remove an existing monitor and try to readd it, I cannot find it anywhere. This happens no matter what category of monitor I try to add. How do I get the monitors back?
MSP 6005 released....
Hi , We did a quick release on MSP to offer the much asked for features in remote control module. With the new 6005 release you can now do a control+alt+del automatically while logging into the remote machine. This helps you to troubleshoot unattended remote servers that are either locked or not logged in. List of items that have gone into 6005: Remote Control issues fixed in the NAT environment of MSP setup. Logged Off or Locked Machines can now be controlled by using OpManager MSP Remote Control.
Migrating from OpManager Pro to MSP?
Is it possible to migrate data from OpManager Pro to the MSP version? I know it was not in the past but I didn't know if version 7 uses the same database format as MSP.

Interface display names
Hi, I'm running opmanager 7021 and i'm having a problem with display names on the interfaces. On all the migrated switches (from 6 to 7) they are just set to default. ie. the same as the interface name and if i add new switches it fills in the field with the description from the switch...which is what i want. Unfortunately though it won't update. If i change information on the switch and do a re-discover on the device or interfaces it doesnt update. the only way seems to be to delete and re-add the
Monitor naming creates error
Hi, I dont know where is the best place to submit this, but I found a "bug". When creating a custom monitor, the interface allow the ' character, however, when trying to change the Treshold on the monitor with a name containing a ', an error occur, since it screw up the SQL query. Exchange SMTP monitors show not data OpManager 7
I use OpManager 7 and my Exchange server does no show any data in the SMTP monitors area. When I test any of them the result is: Protocol WMI 1. The device might be down. 2. The username and password provided for this device might be wrong. 3. The domain password for this device was not provided 4. Hi We had an event that reports shows no data available and I tried to run an repairdb. After reparing, reports started to show data. I want to know the ff: 1. Why did our database got corrupted all of a sudden? 2. How do we ensure or maintain a good database? 3. How do we check if a database is corrupt since OPManager still worked even a corrupted database was found during repairdb? Thanks
