OM6 availability Reports in OM7
Any one know how I can get the Opman 6 availability reports based on business views out of Opman 7? I have to produce management stats for our servers and it was very easy in 6 but I have made a big mistake in upgrading to 7 only to find the reporting is useless and a major step back. If someone has the query that was run in 6 then I'm sure I would be able to get something worth while out. Failing this I could drop the Opman product and go back to gfi or start again from 6 (which will take ages to

Hi, I recently change my client server and install MSP but he didn't want to start. When reinstalling, I supply the 0470_key.zip from the central admin I want to re-use the same ID on the new server. OP Manager 7 and Flash Player
We recently upgraded to version 7 and noticed that at least one area requires an upgraded Flash Player (on the Home page, the Business view 'add' tool). Our server does not connect to the Internet, and Adobe does not allow downloading of an installation executable file. They insist on intalling directly to the running browser, so we cannot get the Flash Player onto the Server without a live Internet connection. SNMP Problem with some Alcatel swichtes
Hi, Unfortunaltey we can't connecto to some Alcatel switches. It's not a problem with the mibs. We can't connect via the mib browser. There is also no connections with an alternate mib browser possibile, although from a second server, with the same browser, we can connect. There is no ip access list or firewall active. But there's one thing that would really make things much easier: Our firewalls are sending OpManager SNMP traps when a VPN tunnel goes down - so far this is working without problems. We're receiving these traps with the "Specific type" 3000 (the firewall uses this field to send its event ID) and a critical alarm is being generated. Device Discovery
Hi there, I want to monitor 1 ADSL router, I can add the device in and it monitors fine, but what happens OpManager will do a netowrk discovery after x amount of days, and it will discover all the network devices onthe same subnet as the ADSL router. Is there any way of adding just the one device without OpManager add every other device on the same subnet. thanks
Server Reports - "Data not available"
I am having an issue recently which seems to be affecting either the gathering of data or the presenting of the data gathered. When I run a Server Health Report, I get Rx Traffic Util, Tx Traffic Util, and I can run an Availability Report, but I do not get any data presented for CPU Utilization, Memory Utilization, or Disk utilization, I get "No data available". This also appears to be true when I go to the individual Servers as well. However the current data and the last weeks data in some circumstances

Custom monitors - Lookup values
Hi there, Does anyone know if there is a way to create custom monitors for device templates that use a lookup table for statuses rather than just returning the value sent from the device? For example, we monitor the duplex and speed on our server nics in order to recognise possible network problems but the values returned are from 0 to 4 which translate to disconnected, half duplex, full duplex and fault. Is there a way to provide these text values so that these are shown instead of the raw value?

Notifications for SMTP Service Failure
I Have OP Manager MSP Edition Build 6005. I get Notifications for all type of failures but if its a SMTP Service failure I dont get the Notifications. Proper Notification Proile is associated to the server and also SMTP Server to send email notification is different to the server which is failing and getting monitored.

Device Monitoring Issue
I'm trying to monitor a variety of devices and with most of them, the Today's Availability box will either show Down (red) or Not Monitored (blue). Exception in savePolledData api setting monitors/interfaces
I believe I have seen a similar post on this. I wanted to confirm the error on my installation. I am trying to set monitors on my local host. The discover interface responds correctly with "Interfaces added successfully." Then a few seconds later gives the notice "No interfaces are there for this device." Scheduled Downtime not monitoring
We have a maintence time window for departments to make changes and such. I enter the time and the devices into the downtime scheduler, but after the time the devices are left unmanaged and I have to go and reselect them as managed. Is there a fix or am I just doing something wrong? Thanks

OpManager 6 with MSSQL 2005 disconnects
Hi, I've setup OpManager 6 newest version 6016 on MsSQL 2005. I start OpManager with the startopmanagerserver.bat command and everything works just fine. After a short while though, I get the following error: "Connection to the Database is lost. Server is being Shut Down. Please Restart the server." Then I have to run the command again. OpManager is also installed as a service, but even if I set up Windows to restart the service on failures, it doesn't and OpManager stays offline. Any clues? Regards,
Add Device, Device added successfully but cannot be found
I'm evaluating OpManager and just installed the server. I added two Windows 2003 boxes and two switches and it works perfectly both with WMI and SNMP. I then tried to add a specific temperature/humidity monitor from Black Box called Servsensor Junior. I use "Add Device" and it tells me "Device added successfully" but it never shows up in OpManager. I've made sure that SNMP is enabled and community is set to "public". I can ping the derivce and do a "manual" SNMPget from commandline to confirm it's

Is there a way for us to create a custom service monitoring program/script which can be used by OpManager to determine whether a service is up. A simple example of this would be for a service running on UDP, but we also have other services which require programmatic logic to determine whether they are running correctly. Secondly, is there any way for us to create custom discovery rules so that we can programmaticaly specify whether a system would be considered a server or a desktop?
Problems with WMI Disk Monitoring in Cluster
We are monitorizing a cluster with 2 nodes and we can add WMI Free Disk Space GB in one but can't add in the other. The disk utilization in the node that doesn't give partition info is at 0%, this means that WMI is responding to the disk utilization monitor but doesn't respond to other WMI monitor. How can I get partition free disk size using WMI monitor in a cluster?
