Help Loading a new MIB
I am trying to create a new device template but when I go into the MIB browser I get an error when it tries to load the new .MIB file. Any help would be appreciated.
Interface Error Counter Percentages vs Bitrates

Custom OID: monitor status
Hi, I would like to know how to monitor the status for a physical interface of a q-logic san switch. The port physical index OID is .1.3.6.1.4.1.1663.1.3.10.1.1.1 and the admin status is .1.3.6.1.4.1.1663.1.3.10.1.1.3, with online=1 and offline=2 values. The mib is included into the Mib Browser, it is possible to have an alarm specifying the port (index number) that is faulty ?
Monitoring Information Store build 6003 (windows version)
Guys, I don't seem to be able to find the correct service name to allow me to monitor the information store. For example, if my IT Dept Information Store was dismounted for some reasons, I like to have Opmanager inform me. I am on build 6003 (windows version). We are running the same version but on a linux version. I am testing the Exchange features to determine if it works before migrating over to the windows version. Thanks, Toan
Change Category issue
If i change category for device (for example from router to switch), all statistic and configuration (polling ports and other) for device is reset. If this is new device, it is not critical. But if i have statistic for 6 month and i lost it - this is critical issue. How i can change category of device whit no reset statistic and conf.
% utilization Vs KBPS Graph
Dear All Kindlr refer to attached screenshot. The Link speed defined for the Interface is 2 MBPS and the utilization tin the graph shows avergae 198 KBPS i.e apprx 20% of the utilization on the link. They why the attached (Percentile) graph is showing 100% utilization. This also gives me false alert for the treshhold which is set for the link.
Cisco bug in display name
Hi, I've just found a bug in the latest version of opmanager. The display name from cisco devices now works properly but if any of the descriptions are blank on the switch then opmanager gets confused and puts the next available description in the display name its looking for. Example... On the switch : fa0/1 description - 11/300 fa0/2 description - 11/301 fa0/3 description - fa0/4 description - 11/303 opmanager displays as : fa0/1 display name - 11/300 fa0/2 display name - 11/301 fa0/3 display name

hi, If I use perf monitor I get cache ratio around 90%, in opmanager I am getting "N/A". See no errors in Opman logs (note: red herring below) wmiadap /f then restart WMI, no errors in MS logs, waited 24 hours. "Log Cache Hit Ratio" and "Transactions Per Sec" also "N/A" For "test monitor" I get "The Monitor did not respond to the test request" Maybe Opmanager thinks SQL2005 is SQL2000? How to? Custom Mib and multiple ports on 1 SNMP OID
Situation is next: I'm monitoring a FAS3050. I imported the MIB table from Netapp. Now i want to monitor the free space on some volumes. I did find the proper SNMP OID which returns the free available byte of all volumes in one table. Cisco 2970G
I have added this Cisco Switch to Opmanager, but I cannot monitor it because it is not listed in the "type" drop down menu. Is there a download somewhere that will update that list and have the 2970G listed?
Polling and visual view interface.
For disable alarm on interface, i disable polling. But when polling disabled - this interface show always on. I can see, work this interface or no only by current speed on interface. How i can change interface configuration for disable alarms and see, in real this interface work or no? For example - "Status" green if work, red if off and alarm disabled, red and flash if off and alarm for this interface enabled.
Notification not working
I've followed the KB article, http://support.opmanager.com/sd/AddSolution.sd?solID=25203 but can't get the notification to play the sound successfully. I can run the batch file manually and it plays a sound on the remote computer without any issues, it just doesn't seem to be getting called from OpManager successfully. attached are the two lines from the log file that show what's happening when the notification is triggered. Issue Monitoring free space on san volume, windows cluster.
Hello, The link below shows how I overcame an issue where opmanager could not monitor a mounted volume with no mapped drive letters to it. Adding URL Links to HTML Pages for Device Notes
Greetings folks... We have an constantly updated CMDB that contains web pages with information on servers comparable to what OpManager offers under Device Snapshots / Device views. In OpManager I'd like to add a field in Device views where I can define URLs to those device information pages so we don't have to enter/maintain all that data in OpManger. Is there any why this can be done? Thanks.
Last polled performance monitors value in Snapshot page
Instead of having the configuration information in the performance monitors pane in the Snapshot page, It would be nice to have the last polled information in the column instead of the Period (mins) or simply add the data in an other column. Since this is a page to quickly see the information of the Device, not having to open each monitors that are not in a graph on top of page to see the actual information would be great.
Outage Windows
Is it possible in OpManager 7 to configure outage windows for specific servers? For example, if a server reboots nightly at 10 PM I would like to configure an outage window from 9:55 to 10:05 during which the server is not monitored. This way I can eliminate cold start alarms for servers during scheduled reboots. Thank You
OpManager Reporting incorrect Free Disk Space
I have a drive on one of our servers that reports 0 GB Free Disk Space (Drive F:). The others are reporting the correct size. The following are the Total Drive Size for each drive on the server C: 10GB (5.5 GB Free) E: 24GB (23.8GB Free) F: 135 GB (110GB Free) OpManager is only reporting 34GB in the Asset Details for the server. I changed the value to 169 GB and OpManager is still reporting 0GB Free Disk Space for Drive F: Is there anyway correct this?
disable alarms for desktops
Is it possible to disable the alarms for desktops, but still keeping polling them? When the user shuts down the desktop after a days work, an alarm is monitored. This will disturb the normal alarm-view, when 30 desktops are shutdown in the afternoon, and then turned on again the next morning.

NOOB - cant get snmp working
Hi all, I have just taken over the managment of this software from a guy who left the company. i have rolled it out on a new site but i can't get any info back from it from the probe. i get the up time and the number of pc's servers but nothing else i know the problem probably lies in the snmp traps are but i do not know how i should be setting it up in windows.
Constant Issues with OP7
I am having repeated issues with the availability graphs, and the monitoring in general. I keep doing the fix for the graph tables but it only lasts a short while. Some graphs seem to be reasonable others are less so. OM7 will just stop monitoring devices making it extremely unreliable to use as a monitoring tool. It seems the version 7 product is not nearly as polished as it needs to be for its role. Don't get me wrong I love new features but not at the cost of reliability. After all this is the

I have now tested OpManager for a few days and I really must say "not bad" ;-) Although I am little bit confused, where are the differnences between OpMananager - Application Manager and OpManager MSP f.e. Cannot clear or delete SQL Cache Hit Ratio Alarms
Hello, we monitor several SQL databases. But if we got the following alarm we are not able to clear, acknowledge or do something else with it. "Cache Hit Ratio(SQL 2005 Server) is 0 %, threshold value for this monitor is 80 %" If we try to acknowledge the Internet-Explorer always shows a white background and nothing happens. After that the alarm is no longer show in the alarm table - but the device is still in alarm mode. The only thing we can do is to delete it directly in the SQL table. Thanks

Hello, Just noticed on the new version of OP, when a particular Threshold was cleared - it does not tell what particular Monitor(s) was cleared. Before, when the CPU utilization threshold was cleared - the Cleared Notification also include CPU Utilization as cleared alert. Thanks, Jerico

Hi again, I have created a custom template for a Trapeze Networks wireless switch, but can't get memory usage to work. NetGear GS724T snmp problem
Hi, I have two NetGear GS724T switches and I'm trying to monitor them using SNMP. I created the setup and OpManager is connection to the SNMP server on Switches. I will like to monitor stuff line CPU utilization, Memory etc using the fancy graphs like it's done with the others. Can I do it and then share it with the orders by myself? I know a little bit about the programming and networking. I know that I can monitor specific MIB paths using OpManager, but I never heard about the graphs situation.

Monitoring large amt of disk space
We have a 12 Terabyte Drive. I set up an alarm to notify us if the avail drive space is less than 3600G. After doing this, we get an alarm that we are at 100% Disk utilization and that there is -3600G of space left even though there is 95% drive space available.. Please advise

Custom monitor
Hi there, I am using OpManager 7021. Quick question, how do you delete Custom Monitors? I see in Admin > Custom Monitors you can display the list of ones you've created, but there's nowhere to delete them (that I can find)? Regards, Lee
