Interface Error Counter Percentages vs Bitrates
We have several interfaces which generate alarms due to exceeded error thresholds. With the configured threshold value at 2% and rearm at 1% I assume a calculation is occurring in OpManager to determine the percentage of errors on a given interface. Now here's my gripe; when you view the interface snapshot the errors are graphed as errors per second so we have to calculate how that translates into the percentages to adjust threshold/rearm values. To simplify administration and for consistency, couldn't you add an error percentage indicator or change the threshold settings to bitrate values?
