Issue Monitoring free space on san volume, windows cluster.

The link below shows how I overcame an issue where opmanager could not monitor a mounted volume with no mapped drive letters to it. My solution was to add a mapped drive to each volume but keep the mount as well.

What I've run into now, is that this server is in a cluster, and when the exchange instance rolls to the other node, the free disk space performance monitors start monitoring the wrong volume.
I'm using SNMP to monitor the free disk space in GB.
What does OpManager use to keep track of what volume is what? Disk number?
My current fix in the meantime is to recreate the monitors when this happens but we have so many it takes a lot of time and obviously isn't the solution.
