OpManager SP1 version is it 7100 or 7101?
Service Pack download site says that the latest version is 7101 updated on 5th May, but the actual download updates the product to 7100? Is the download link correct on the download site? I downloaded the file AdventNet_ManageEngine_OpManager_7_0_SP-3_0_0.ppm Please let me know. Regards Samad

Problems witch link availability report
Hi, When I run In the section Reports->Routers-> the report "All Interfaces Availability Report", this reports shows columns that say "Device Name", "total down time" and "Up time percentaje", now in the column "Device Name" not shows the device name, only the name of the interface. In the same report but in the version 6.0 appear four columns "Device Name" "Name interface/port" "total down time" and "Up time percentaje". Monitoring NTLM URLs
I was under the impression that we were able to monitor URLs that use NTLM authentication. It does not appear to work at the moment and OpManager 7 (build 7010) reports that the host is unavailable (to which it is certainly not). Memory monitor and alarm repoting high utilization
We have the default memory utilization performance monitor set up to alarm at > 70% and rearm at 60%. The problem we have is that the alarm and memory monitor is constently reporting 95% or more memory usage. When I clear the alarm, and get a new alarm reporting 99% memory utilization, I log into the server and open task manager. Task manager is reporting: 1.5GB physical memory 541MB available pagefile usage is 665MB - the total size is 4096MB so its only using a small amount. Why is Opmanager reporting
Change interface type in routers.
Hi, I have in my network some AudioCodes. This product is a voice gateway and it is similar Cisco Routers. When I discovery it, OpManager auto configure Digital DS1 interface. I would like change it to E1 or ISUP interface, but I don't find where I do this. If it's no possible to change this configuration, I would need to add a new Category for example "voice gateway" with this E1 or ISUP configuration. It's possible to do this? Tks! Marlon

Hi, I've been having an ongoing problem with the Notification Profiles. I recently had a tech support person from OpManager look at my system and they did "fix" the issue, but I'm still not happy with the way that OpManager is dealing with email. Hi all, we have a problem when setting up URL monitoring with OpManager. Essentially when we test the URL ( a simple http://www.blah.com/abc) we get back an error - 400: The request could not be understood by the server due to malformed syntax. The client SHOULD NOT repeat the request without modifications : http://www.blah.com/abc I ran an Ethereal trace from the server and got the following. migration from win 2k pro sp4 to win xp pro sp2
I trying to migrate OpManager 7100 under win 2k sp4 to OpManager 7100 under win xp pro sp2. I make a backup file and restore at new installation. The process finished but I can not see my old configuration and account, next I copy old folder conf and users but the service did not start up. Thanks you.

Need to see process command line
We need to be able to see the command line of the process that we are monitoring. The reason is because we have many processes with the exact same name and the only way to know the difference between each process is to view the command line that called it. If you view the process with a tool like SysInternal's ProcessExplorer you can see the command line. Is this possible with OpManager or Application Manager. WMI failing on test credential
No idea why this keeps failing? I've opened the ports on the firewall, installed SNMP and WMI SNMP Provider and set the required details for the SNMP service but the test credentials fails every time on WMI. Username format is correct also (domain\username). Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance.

How to : receive 1300 WinXP Traps ?
Hi ! I am in the process of monitoring SNMP Traps from all our Workstations via OpManager so we can use the central tool we have, however I have some issue and I hope there is a "clean" solution. I can set all my workstation to send SNMP traps to our opmanager server with a script and it works fine. However, for the traps to be "received" It seem that each workstation need to be created device in OpManager and must be in "Managed" status. However I dont want to poll for 1300 Workstation every 5 min,
Created then gone missing Business Views
I am having a problem where when I create a business view (as Admin), add devices, name and save it, the view does not show up under "Business views". If I name the new view the same as one I had previously created, but does not show up under "BVs", I get the message that a BV with that name already exists. I have tried running the DBrepair tool but the problem continues. We currently only have 33 BVs built and I need to build many more so I have to find a problem resolution ASAP. Thanks :!:
Possible bug with Cisco ASA?
Hi everyone, We are running several cisco ASA 5500 devices. I have Op manager watching them and all was well. The ASA's were running Cisco ASDM version 5 with ASA software version 7. We've recently updated them all to ASDM 6.11 and ASA 8.0.3. Everything still works except for one weird issue. The interfaces now read 0 for the speed and the availability for some of the interfaces always shows the "parent down". Rediscovery doesn't help. I've attached two screen shots to show. Notify when a monitoring has a problem
Is there a way in order to get a notification or an alarm that a monitoring of a resource was stopped? One scenario I can give is we have an AIX server being monitored via CLI.. however when the password was changed/expired and the opmanger values was not it stopped monitoring for at least a week before we even notice that monitoring already stopped and when we viewed the device... the thresholds indicates normal even though no value is being produce. Hope we can find an alternative for this.
Memory Utilisation including pagefile
My company use a large amount of pagefile to increase the memory on each server. Opmanager monitors only the physical memory by default, which is screwing the results as a large percentage of the servers are reporting a breached threshold (80%+) continuously, even though Performance in Task Manager shows below 50% usage. Would there be any reason I couldn�t change the asset details of each server to the total inc the pagefile, the results would then correspond with the results in performance monitor
Has anyone tried using a Blackberry for SMS notifications.
Hello, While I search for a gsm modem from the supported list (http://manageengine.adventnet.com/products/opmanager/sms-modem.html), I had a thought. When you connect a blackberry to a windows server with it's Desktop Manager software, you can set it up to be a tethered modem and it assigns a com port to it. attached is a screen shot from control panel > modems > diagnostic. Before I invest time trying this, has anyone tried to use a Blackberry device as a GSM modem for SMS notifications in OpManager?
SNMP traps not captured
I have installed OpManager on a box with Windows XP Home/SP2. SNMP alerts are not received by OpManager after the following were done: 1. Computer Name change 2. New password for Login operator 3. Workgroup change. I have tried reinstalling OpManager, still this does not solve the problem. Please help.
Defrag of OPmanager partition corrupted DB
HI, I tuned off opmanager and apache services on a windows 2003 R2 SP1 machine. Used windows defrag but stopped before completed. On starting opmanager afterwards. I lost view, devices, device data but still had events. Had to restore! I do no know MYSQL. Did I miss a service and action to stop MYSQL?
Opman7, URL Monitor, host unavailable, but it isn't
trying to add URL monitor for a IIS ASP virtual directory. Opmanager displays Host unavailable, however URL is functional and even from the Opmanager server, this URL can be retrieved with the browser. Opmanager opmanager_serverOut log file displays: Failed to read headers: java.io.IOException on these attempts to check or add the URL monitor.
Can not create custom links.
When I attempt to create a "custom link" on a device snapshot page it has only worked a couple of times and I can't explain why. What happens is that I can enter the information, the name for the link and save it. It then acts like it saved but when I click on custom links for that device it only gives me the option to add and there is no link. :x

MSSQL Module: can't see the databases of named instances
I monitored a windows 2003 server with MSSQL 2000 and named instance. I have mssql monitor licence to OP V6 and V7. I see the instance in the OP. But I do not see the databases. (For V7) I click add monitor -> MSSQL Monitors -> Click on the MSSQL Named Instance that you want to configure. [here see the name of instance 'snake'] -> i click to 'snake' -> i click to Service Names and Add -> Here see Select all, but not Databases. any idea?

Hallo, since OPManager 7 we have a Alarm Notification on the Switch, like Errors rate for Port *** Description *** is 100%, threshold value for this monitor is 1% This Alarm comes very often on different Interfaces. can't awknowledge, delte or clear alarm
hey all, i got mssql monitoring working on one of my database servers today and it generated all sorts of alarms based on the default thresholds. i've modified and disabled the thresholds i require, but some of the alarms generated from the cache hit ratio cannot be cleared. if i acknowledge the alarmi get a "alarm awknowledged" message at the top of the screen but the alarm still reads "unassigned" under technician. if i try to clear or delete the alarm, i'm given a blank screen. any help? p.s.

OPManager Server Becomes Slow
When i installed OP7 SP1, our server becomes very slow. If you access it via web browser, it took minutes to access it. It used to be in just 3-5 seconds only. Is there any problem with SP1. Please reply immediately. Also maintenance scheduller is not running normally or as it was intended to be..
