How to : receive 1300 WinXP Traps ?

Hi !

I am in the process of monitoring SNMP Traps from all our Workstations via OpManager so we can use the central tool we have, however I have some issue and I hope there is a "clean" solution.

I can set all my workstation to send SNMP traps to our opmanager server with a script and it works fine. However, for the traps to be "received" It seem that each workstation need to be created device in OpManager and must be in "Managed" status. However I dont want to poll for 1300 Workstation every 5 min, nor ever, and I dont care if they are up or down... To do this I can disable the polling of each workstation... But this option is not in the "Quick Configuration Wizard" so I will have to enter in each devices to disable polling. If I must I will, but is there a better way to accomplish this ? I can't change the setting in the Device Template since it's not in the option, nor can I set the "Monitoring Interval" to 0.

Maybe a "good" query to do it all at once, I'm using SQL Server.
Or can I enable Opmanager to process received Traps without associating it to a specific device (unlikely, but maybe it's possible...)

The traps are from the Anti-Virus System so there shouldnt be 1300 Traps sent very often But eventually I may receive more than the AV traps, since I use evntcmd to retreives the info from eventlog so this is most likely to be used later, and the EventLog is not a good option since we are not in a Windows Domain and I'd need to "Open" too much the system for it to work well (RPC and all...) + we dont want the polling of each device every 5 minutes, so the traps are what we need. (That's a background as to Why I want to do this )

Thanks !
