Notification Profiles and Alerts
Hi,
I've been having an ongoing problem with the Notification Profiles. I recently had a tech support person from OpManager look at my system and they did "fix" the issue, but I'm still not happy with the way that OpManager is dealing with email.
Basically, the issue is that if you select TEXT in the notification profile, all text after a dollar sign ($) is truncated from the message. Dollar signs are used quite a bit in Microsoft Event Log Alerts. If you change the notification profile to HTML or BOTH, you get the entire message in the HTML portion of the alert email, but the text portion is still truncated.

Do you see what I mean? I'd like to send the messages as plain text, since this is easier to read on our mobile devices, but cannot do that currently without losing information from the alert.
Is there some backend process that sends the email in OpManager that is truncating everything after the dollar sign? This seems like a problem with some string handling, maybe because the dollar sign ($) has some special meaning to the string handling functions?
