Monitors Server reports-interval
When I create report for last 24 hours. for instance server CPU the result comming up in interval of 1 hour. 10:00 4% 11:00 3% How can I chsange this interval to 5 minutes in reports? Thanks
Linking with netflow problems
I have linked Opmanager with Netflow Analyser. When I test the connection it is fine. However, when I look at the router interface graphs in Opmanager the buttons give the following error: Unable to fetch NetFlow details Possible reasons Check whether the interface is added in NetFlow Analyzer Check whether the NetFlow Analyzer Server is running I have double checked and the interface is in Netflow and the netflow server is running because I can open Netflow and see results. Any ideas?
Multiple CPU's
Quick question , is there a monitor or graph to graph a server with 4 cpu's on 4 different graphs without manually adding a custom monitor for each cpu ?
Web Alarm custom sound (Per profile)
Allow the selection of a custom Sound for different Web Alarm profile, so when there is a switch down, I can have a specific sound than when the SMTP service is down. (List all MP3 Files in [OpManagerHome]webclientcommonsounds and let select) Or allow uploads.
Adding new switch
Hi, When I try to add a switch that was previously removed I get the bellow message: Entries for the device are either partially added or removed.Click [here...] to remove and readd the device Even though I click on the link to readd it I keep getting the same error message. Thank you Ramzi

Service Monitors and redundant servers
Hi, I have a pair of servers that work in redundant manner. When a failover occurs, one asserts as hot and begins attending the service port. In this case, the other server (that becomes standby) will no longer accept connections to this port. My problem come when I try to monitor the service. As one port is always down, I always have a service down alarm. How can I give OpManager the logic to overcome this situation? There are workarounds? Regards, Andres
WMI Support on OpMananger 7 for Linux
I am evaluating OpManager 7 running on Debian Linux and notice there is no WMI support for Windows clients. After searching through the forums I found this post: forums.adventnet.com/viewtopic.php?p=46382. The post mentions that Version 6 of OpManager doesn't support WMI when running on Linux but that it is a feature that is being looked at. Does anybody know if this feature made it into Version 7? monitoring sql cluster
hello all, our main database servers are a win2003 cluster. server one's IP is 10.0.0.90 and server two's ip is 10.0.0.91 - the clusters IP is 10.0.0.93 we monitor both server 1 and server 2 using their ip addresses, but i cant seem to get the SQL monitor to work. is this because of the clustering? if i try to add the cluster as a device it will not let me since an interface on server 1 is using it. any suggestions?
Monitoring others disks
Hi, I am monitoring MSSQL databases, but my databases are in another diks, as enable monitoring of other discs both physical and SAN disks, to be more explicit. I have a device in which I am monitoring MSSQL, I have 3 databases which are in the drive D: in a second physical drive, 2 other bases are in SAN disks and data related to these databases are not shown. Already upgraded to SP1. On Report generation, what you can only export to Excel are the Summary Reports. What we need are the reports generated using the snapshot module which should be exported also. Its still the same. We need that report for our analysis how the system behaves. The only one i found useful is Process Monitoring. Hope you can improve on Report Generation. Thanks..

Exchange Monitoring - DBs moved to SAN
Hello, I recently migrated my exchange databases to a NetApp SAN. The LUNs are mounted via iSCSI as local drives. Since migrating, OpManager no longer reflects used disk space. Is there a way to correct this? Thanks!
Cannot change vendor from unknown
Upgraded to 7100 and now, on the device snapshot page, the vendor is set to unknown and when I change the vendor to some other it resets back to unknown when I save the data.
Remote Connections to Managed Devices
Clicking on a device takes you to the device snaphot. It would be useful since we already maintain a login credential for the managed device in our system to be able to use that credential aside from monitoring to also be able to click on a link within the page to directly connect the administrator via Remote Desktop if it is a Windows Host and VNC or anything similar for a Linux host. That way, we can further extend OpManager's management capabilities
Misleading Test monitor error message
Hi, I just went thru a snapshot dial problem and I wished to point out that when the Memory Utilisation monitor is tested, and the asset for the total memory is 0 (In my situation the SNMP was not up yet when I first discovered the device) the error message states that the device did not respond to the request, wich is false, since in this case the request was answered, the error is that the returned value cant be computed since there was probably � Divide by zero error. OP 7 SP1 Alarms Possible Bug ?
Hi there. I've found a possible bug on our OpManager. When i'm in the Active Alarms window, if i select all the alarms and clear them with the default page size selected (25) it clears them exactly like it should but if i select all and try to clear them but with a page size of 100 or 125, as soon as i press the clear button i receive a Page Not Found error from IE. Detecting VMWare interfaces on virtual servers
Hi, We are running many servers under VMWare ESX, hosting W2K3 servers using the virtal network card for each. I have SNMP enabled on all virtual machines servers but Opmanager can't detect the network interface. any way around this? thanks

Cannot view pictures in home screen or in dashboard
The pictures are not showing but displaying an "X"...(see attached) I am currently using OpManager 7, build 7025. Is there a patch I can apply to correct this? --Larry
Monitor intervals
Is it possible to clear something up for me please. If I have my "Interval" period on a monitor set to 30 minutes, and then set the "consecutive times" to 3, will this report if the threshold is breached 3 times in 30 minutes, or will it report if 3x30 minute (total 90 minutes) internals have a breach?
Total Availability on Reporting feature?

Custom links linked to device template/Category
Allow the custom link to be associated to a device template or the device category, example, Novell Servers have iManage on a specific port, I wish I didnt have to delete and recreate the link each time we add/change a server, all other devices don't need a link to the specific port.

Wrong detection of Ms Exchange 2003 Server
Dear all, I've added my Exchange 2003 Cluster servers to OpManager. configured SNMP and tested both SNMP & WMI and both of them passed the test. but OpManager Detects the OS as WinNT even thoug I'm running on Windows 2K3 SP2 and also doesn't show me that it's an exchange server ( Doesn't show exchange server features) I've changed the OS manually and set it to Windows 2k3 but still can't detect that it's an exchange server... could any one guide me on the above :) thanks

URL and service monitors
Hello, Upgraded from OpManager 6 to 7 last week and it looks like all data has been carried over successfully. However, on more then one occasion OpManaer begins to falsely report that services and URL's are down when they are not. Usually restating the OpManager service fixes these alarms quickly, but I'd appreciate some insight into how to troubleshoot the problem. Could it be a database issue?
