How do we change the URL for Scheduled Reports?
Hi everybody, I have 1 question regarding Scheduled Reports. How can we change the URL to which we have to send the report? For example, I did a scheduled report and I requested to publish the reports and send the url alone to my email adress. But it gives a wrong URL and I would like to change with one. I went to OpManager\apache\conf\httpd.conf and tried to change the Server Name or modify the variable UseCanonicalName to 'On' and 'Off' but nothing changed. Do someone know how to configure the
ESX Server template issue
What version of ESX was the vmware template created from. My 3 hosts are detected as vmware ESX, but the only monitor that works is CPU utilization. We are currently 3.01 hosts
Web Alert Question
When my web alert is fired by a device being down it doesn't automatically clear when the device comes back up. Is this the way it works or do I need to adjust my config?
Tabular Data title
Hi, I have a Novell Server, and I want to monitor the Netware volumes. I found how to get the data with the tabular Bulk monitor polling (100-(.1.3.6.1.4.1.23.2.28.2.14.1.4*100/.1.3.6.1.4.1.23.2.28.2.14.1.3)), however, each "Rows" are identified by .1 .2 .3 and .4. in all the displays, not quite usefull. I know that in the same table, OID .1.3.6.1.4.1.23.2.28.2.14.1.2 is the Volume name. Is there a way to specify that the "index name" of each row is the corresponding OID Value instead of .1 .2 .3
Notification Time window
It would be preferable to choose a window of office hours for the errors to be reported by email, as some of the servers and links get hammered at night due to remote backups, and the company do not wish to receive any feedback out of office hours.
Disk Space Reporting
Is there a SQL query that will enable us to extract disk storage from all our servers? We need to use this instead of using the report generation by opmanager itself since we want to make it more flexible. But if there is a way in order to export the file into excel then that would be more helpful. Thanks!
Custom WMI Monitor shows no data history
Hello, I need once again your help with a custom WMI monitor. I added a custon WMI monitor for Diskqueuelength from your support website. The monitor works fine and I can see the values if I click on "test now..." ( 0 0 0 f.ex) but OpManager doesnt record the history in the chart - always "no data available). (I configured it as a multinode) What can I do that I can see the values in the chart? Thanks in advance, Marco
Taffic monitor shows data - interface data shows traffic NA
Hi, On my Cisco router the monitors added under Traffic monitor work perfectly. But the standard section with interface data (under the Profile section) shows all traffic data as Not Available (NA) Why does this happen? greets

Hello OpManager Gurus; We would like to have Opmanager running on a workstation in our service desk area but don't have the resources to constantly check it. Is it possible to have that workstation play a notification sound with any, or just critical, alarms? If so how do we set that up? Many thanks for your insights. :?:
Managing Char Interfaces
Hi I'm configuring a new device (MIRV LX-4000 console server) in OpManager. It has 2 ethernet interfaces and 42 serial ports. I want to manage these serial interfaces with OpManager (the status can be polled via SNMP under the iso->org->dod-> internet->mgmt->mib-2->char branch), but I don't know how to do this. It would be nice to see this interfaces in interfaces tab (as the ethernets) or in a table. Any idea? Thanks in advance. Regards, Andres

Issue 1. All my interfaces are getting NA, however I can click into it and see what traffic is going on. I had this problem about 6 months ago and thought typing this in mysql, update MetaTable set ENDTIME=UNIX_TIMESTAMP(NOW()) where lookuptablename = 'ifraw' and endtime=-1; - would fix it, like it did before. AD monitoring
I just want to monitor the cpu/memory usage of our AD server, but none of the AD features . However, nothing can be shown and it said: Active Directory Monitoring Add On Feature is not licensed. Does it mean it is "A Must" to purchase such addon...even I just wanna check basic server info? thx, Joe
OP7 SP1 Process Monitoring
On SP1 you can only monitor Windows based processes. How about different platforms like AS400, AIX , Sun Solaris etc. When will it be available. Hope you can include this on your future updates. Thanks..
Exchange 2007 on OpManager
Hi, I read on an earlier post that MAPI support may be available Q1 2008. Does this mean that Exchange 2007 will also be supported? Can OpManager use an ODBC connection to SQL 2005 server on the network as it's back-end? Thanks Stephen

Alarm Clear Notificatins
I can't get OpManager to send Clear notifications though email. I have a Notification setup to send me an email after 3 missed polls and notifiy when the alarm is cleard. I'm getting the email when the device goes down, but I'm not getting the cleared notification. I deleted the notification from one server and added it back. It worked after that, but this process only worked on that one server. I've done this on other servers, but I'm still not getting the clear notification. I'm running OpManager

Has anyone used OpManager to monitor a VMWare environment? The VMs seem simple enought; however, I would like to also monitor the host and my VirtualCenter server... Any thoughts?
Opmanager Unwanted Warnings
Hi All, I just want to find out on how to set the opmanager not to received some unwanted warnings. I have a switch which is currently being monitored, end user connect to this switch. Free Disk Space not showing past this month
Hi, I have 3 servers I setup at the same time to monitor FREE disk space using supplied vbs. Server 1 w2k 4 partitions on local scsi- can report back 90 days Server 2 w2k SQL cluster 6 partitions on DAS Server 3 w2k3 SQL cluster 6 partitions on SAN 2 and 3 only report back to 30th March regardless of period chosen? Other stats report back over 90 days. Whats making that decision?
fortgate 300a - can see interface but no traffic is reported
Trying to monitor traffic on Fortigate 300a interface 2. Added the fortigate 300a to Opmanager and it only recognized it as router. Changed it to firewall 300a. Opmanager can see the 4 interfaces but no traffic is reported on any of the interfaces. I used a freeware interface monitor tool using the same community string and was able to see traffic. I have delete the device and readded and double check the snmp community string but to no avail. Any idea? Thanks
How to update Sys Desc.
This is an issue that I have had for a while now over several versions of OpManager. Whenever we upgrade a router IOS, the new software load is not displayed in the Sys Description Field. I have tried using the rediscover action and it still does not change. The only way I have been able to pick up the new IOS version is to delete the device and then add it back. If I selected not all interface (etc. 1 from 5) then not working a e-mail sending about interface problem. If I selected all interface then a e-mail sending work correct. What is a problem ?
Monitor Device by DNS name or by IP - Opmanager 7027
I have an issue whereby some devices seem to be monitored by DNS name and some by IP address. For some devices I can add a device by discovering it with an IP but not by DNS. Also - if I do a PING request - some show they are being pinged by IP and some by DNS. Can you please advise how this works.

Cant see new performance monitor. I built a new performance monitor to watch the load of a system. I can see the monitor, and add it to Linux systems, but I can not see it when I try to add it to Solaris systems, why?

Problems with the Database SQL 2005
Hi, I am using OpManager 7027, I migrated OpManager 6.0 with DataBase SQL�s 2000 at OpManager 7.0. I�m used SQL 2000, but now I need to use Database SQL 2005. OpManager 7.0 is utilizing compatibility with SQL 2000, when I removed the compatibility and I used the motor the Database SQL 2005, the devices of the maps disappear. Cannot Add Performance Monitor
OpManager 7 (build 7024) free edition. I cannot add performance monitors to my Netware server objects. I am trying to add the free space in GB and MB performance monitors using the add monitor button. I select the monitors that I want, click on add, the screen goes back to the snapshot page and the new monitors do not show. No errors.

OPManager Refuses to Start
I am posting this in the hopes there will be a quick fix that someone knows of, I have also logged a call in the support area. I am running OPManager 7 (7025), Windows 2003 (all patches installed), with MSSQL backend. I had a report from OPManager when I went to add a new switch. I got an error message indicating that 'some record of that switch already existed, click to remove'. I did that multiple times with no luck.
