How to update Sys Desc.
This is an issue that I have had for a while now over several versions of OpManager.
Whenever we upgrade a router IOS, the new software load is not displayed in the Sys Description Field. I have tried using the rediscover action and it still does not change. The only way I have been able to pick up the new IOS version is to delete the device and then add it back.
Please tell me this is not the preferred way to accomplish this. On a Cisco router this can be very time consuming due to the large number of interfaces that the routers have.
