cpu utilisation monitor not right for linx?
I have opManger 8 and the cpu utilisation (cli) for linux isn't working, it appears the command line being used is not right for linux, as it returns an empty string if typed manually on the cli. When you use the test monitor button, it reports no response. The cmd line it is using is top b n 1 | grep 'CPU[0-9* states:' which in Fedora 12 returns an empty string, is there way of editing this monitor so that the cmdline can be altered?

No database in SQL 2008 Express instance
Hi! Is there OpManager can monitor database of SQL 2008 or only 2005 and below? I can view SQL 2005 bases and read http://support.opmanager.com/sd/AddSolution.sd?solID=21301 But list of databases in SQL 2008 Express is empty. Michael

Also when i select the link Maps and then i want to add a Business View it never pass, it says Initializing Bussiness view and never go forward. Problem with sending SMS
Hi, I configured the Mailserver-settings, so that mails are created correctly. Now I wanted to create a profile to send SMS via e-mail. unfortunately, this results in the attached error. I can enter any mailadress whre the mails should be sent to. It always creates this error messages. However, if I use an internal mailadress, it works and a mail is sent to this user. But it does work with mailadresses in another domain. HELP PLEASE !! Juergen

Reports on Internet useage
We would like to setup monitoring on our internet router, so we can look at a period of time and see what our bandwith usage is. Does anyone know how to setup the monitoring so it will look at a period in time (i.e. the last 24 hours)? Thanks

Linking Opmanager with SDP
I am trying to link Opmanager with SDP, and keep getting the error "Unable to fetch values from ServiceDesk Plus, The server might not be running or the network traffic may be too high". SDP is setup to use AD usernames, and I have followed all the guides as to setting this up. I have Netflow residing on the same server as SDP on a different port and it connect fine.
Problem with performace monitors with opmanager update 8050
I update my opmanager to the last versions ( 8050 and 8051 ), but now i can't see the historical data of the performance monitors of any device. Monitoring Exchange store dismount
Hello, is there any way OpManager can monitor if an Exchange information store gets dismounted? We had this happen the other day because of the Exchange 2003 Standard IS size limitation. The service, etc. was up but the store got dismounted. We never got an alert from Opmanager about it.
Downtime Schedules cannot start in the past
If I create a Downtime Schedule that starts in the past, it will never take effect even if the ending date is in the future.. Here's an example: 1) I need to suppress alerts immediately and the time is currently 12:16 PM. 2) I create a Downtime Schedule for 12:15 PM to 18:00 PM. 3) I click the Update button to return the list of Schedules 4) The "Next Scheduled at" column says that it's Finished even though it should be in effect up through 18:00. The only way to get around this is to select 12:30
OpManager 6.5 MS SQL into 20GB DATA
Dear support. I have install OpManager 6.5 with MS SQL 2005 in my LAB. How could I shrink the MS SQL 2005 database from 20 GB (MDB file) and still can keep all my config, Topology ? If I change config from MS SQL into mySQL, Reconfig my MS SQL, change it back to MS SQL, is that going to fix the problem for my MS SQL (20 GB MDB file) ? Thanks. warren

Cannot access mysql database
We are deploying OpManager to a number of sites, each with similar configs, but with a few tweaks. As a result I was trying to look through the sql database to see if we could script some steps to save time when we deploy the program. However, I am having troubles logging in. I use the command "./mysql -u root -P 13306 OpManagerDB" fromt he mysql subfolder in the OpManager folder. Unable to update profile criteria in build 8050
We just installed build 8050 and, for some reason, I can no longer update the profile criteria on any device. Here's the process I follow: 1) Go to the server snapshot page 2) Select the Notification Profile page 3) Click the Rules button for any given profile 4) Open the Threshold rule violations (everything is checked) 5) Uncheck all the rules 6) Click Next 7) Click Save 8) Go back into the profile and everything is still checked...nothing was saved. I'd like to dump a listing of the notes on alerts created by operators. I can see there is an Annotation table in OpManageDB, but I see the Entity field connects to the Alert table. But how does the Alert table then relate back to the name of the Monitor that caused the alert?

I have several Cisco 5500 VPn devices that I am trying to use OpManager as a tool to help monitor Bandwidth utilization. Can someone please help me get this setup? MS Exchange 2007 and OpManager 8
Hello, We run OpManager 8007. Our Exchange 2007 is configured so that we have 2 servers for each role, i.e CAS, HUB, Mailbox, and Edge. We have two of each for redundancy. The issues we face are: Only the mailbox servers actually let us load the Exchange 2007 monitors from the Exchange tab of the add monitors page. For the other servers (CAS, HUB, etc.) I have to figure out which services are running and add them manually, but this lets me monitor just the services and not really the performance
