I previously evaluated OPManager and was wondering if Advanced Alerting was going to become available. I have the need to create multiple alerts based upon the same criteria, this was one area that OPManager feel short when we reviewed it. I need to be able to alert on the following Disk Space Used > 70% free and Disk Space Used < 80% Disk Space Used > 80% free and Disk Space Used < 90% Disk Space Used > 90% free and Disk Space Used < 100% Disk Space free > 100MB In my current monitoring product
How to install WMI on Client PC
Hello, I'm trying to use Opmanager with the WMI protocol, but I can't get it to work. I think the reason why it isn't working is because I don't know how to install it properly. That because I've never done it before. Maybe there is a port that needs to be forwarded or another service that needs to get activated but I can't find what it is. For testing the WMI I'm using a small free windows program called Solarwinds WMI Monitor. When I test the WMI protocol it says that the Remote server is unreachable

Exchange 2007 Dashboard questions
Hallo. I just enabled the Exchange dashboard. I am running Exchange 2007. I wonder about send/received statistics. After finding out that the SMTP monitors don't work for 2007, I started wondering why they are added and displayed in the dashboard. What I would like to see is a send/receive statistic per hour/per minute or so. What I see in the transport monitors is Messages received per second. All other statistics values are 0. The messaged received total doesn't give me a lot of information. I
URL Monitoring - controlling browser reported
Hi, new to OpManager and looking at it to check some sites for me using URL Monitoring. The sites expect certain browsers to present themselves and use javascript and vbscript to check browser and redirect if valid supported one. Can I get URL Monitor to lie about what it is and support script so I don't have to make code changes to the site to allow it to be monitored? If this is all covered off in a manual page(s) somewhere please just redirect me to appropriate section as I haven't looked at the

Cisco CATOS Support Problem Again
Opmanager first found the cisco 6509(CATOS) as a route and I change the type to Cisco 6500 and switch type. But the portname can not show the right name(such as Ethernet G2/1 etc.) and only show "long ...". For this customer's network topology is cisco 6510 connect with cisco 6509 via the ATM layer(Nortel Passport 15000). Please tell me how to solve it. I also want to know whether the product support cisco CATOS. For performance monitor. It can show memory usage and cannot show CPU usage. Frank

We have a problem on a newly installed server with OpManager 8052. The server is running Windows Server 2008 R2 (which I was promised by OpManager support that it is supported running platform). The problem is that when you run the dashboard (we are running it on a remote machine) a message appears saying: "Message from webpage" "Error occured. We are sorry for the inconvenience." "Please try after some time or refresh the page and try again" Sometimes it helps just to click OK and the dashboard

Dashboard Refresh
Is it possible to have only the widgets do a refresh on the dashboard? When the whole dashboard does a refresh the widgets that show real time traffic looses there graphs for a few seconds before it picks up again. We have widgets that show "Recent Alarms", "Business View Summary" and "Devices Exceeding Response Time" and for them to update there status the whole dashboard need to be refreshed. It would be great if you could set up individual refresh rates on all the widgets instead.

When I add that linux server in opmanager & check the Credential Details using both snmp & clip,everything is OK till here. Now the data in CPU & memory Dail is all Wrong. Migrating OpManager
Hi All, We are currently running OpManager Premium 8052 (32 Bit) on MSSQL 2005. Our hardware is a little underspeced and we wish to migrate to a new server. Is there any documentation to refer to? We also want to upgrade the OS from Windows 2003 (32bit) to Windows 2008 RC2 (x64) and also upgrade MSSQL to 2008. Opmanager 8040 and java.exe using up all memory
Has anyone experienced a serious java memory leak upgrading to version 8040. In a short period of time (two days) it consumes all memory on the server.

OpManager 7 - No RX or TX on Interfaces on Device Snapshot
I do get interface detail info, so I know OpM is gathering the data with SNMP, but it displays "NA", "NA", "NA" for Rx, Tx, and Errors I tried removing and rediscovering the interfaces with no success ideas?

OP-Manager delete SMS notification Q
Hi, I'm using OP-Manager installed on a virtual machine with the DB in MS SQL. We are in the latest build 8052. The SMS modem is attached phisically to the host and all is Ok if the VM doesn't move (VmWare V Motion) to another host. If this is hapening the SMS notifications will be queued. Once the VM will be moved back to the proper host and connected to the SMS modem, all the queued SMS will be sent over. Is there a solution to delete the SMS in the queue? If not I would need to wait that
Setting up SNMP in Linux Environment
Hello, I installed and configured the SNMP for Linux per this website. http://net-snmp.sourceforge.net/docs/INSTALL.html The installation went thru find without any errors and when I type the rpm -qa |grep snmp, it gives the the version, etc. That means the snmp was installed correctly. OpManager process shuts down automatically
Hi All, I have a question about our opmanager. The process is started automatically in our company, but in every three days it will stop automatically aswell. Followed by event id 7036 The ManageEngine OpManager service entered the stopped state. We have to manually start the service again, and then it's working again for three days. How can i prevent this to happen, and let the opmanager service stay online? Thanks in advance. Eddy
SNMP v3 Stops Working When Device's IP Changes
The network that we have OpManager installed is fairly dynamic and the IP addresses of some of the devices change on a regular basis. A recurring problem that we are having is that when the IP address of a device changes and we update it in OpManager (and its associated entry in the local /etc/hosts file), we are no longer able to query SNMP v3 statistics from the device. We can still poll it using snmpgets from the linux command line and browse it using your built in mib browser, but it will not

Monitoring Domian Controllers
With earlyer versions of OpManager it was possible, to monitor Windows domain controllers WITHOUT the active directory add on to OpManger. Of course, one couldn't monitor active directory counters, but one could monitor ressources such as memory or disc comsumption as well as hardware failures (as long one was installing the correct MIBs).
