hi team we are trying to monitor multiple cpu for linux machines. we checked this command top b n 1 | grep Cpu which gives the output Cpu0 : 39.8% us, 13.3% sy, 0.2% ni, 21.1% id, 25.5% wa, 0.1% hi, 0.0% si Cpu1 : 38.9% us, 13.5% sy, 0.1% ni, 34.2% id, 13.3% wa, 0.0% hi, 0.0% si Now, how do we change the host file for 2 values ? kindly help thanks Isaac ME Tech
Bad performance and java.exe using 100% CPU
Hello I have a problem to get OpManager to run stable. First, the performance is at all times poor. Meaning: it takes long to change the view in the browser window. Second, after a week or so java.exe climbs to 100 % CPU. At this time nothing works, no alarms, no browser connection etc. I need to get this fixed, as a monitoring system that needs another monitoring system that checks if it is running is not really appropriate :-) Third: If someone has an easy description on how to get everything running
[Business view widget] - Show traffic map
Hi, I dont know if it is an error or it is meant this way, but the Business view widget remembers the business view "default view" when displaying, either "Map" or "List", but when "Traffic map" is selected, it always shows "map view" instead of "traffic map" in the widget. If it is not implemented, it would be nice to have this possibility, as my management wants to know the traffic prior to the status. [Alarms] - Easy return to device after delete
Hi, Been clearing some Alarms on differents devices, newly unmanaged devices, or newly unmanaged services. Here's the step I do, : I go to a device, Click on a specific alarm Click delete (I dont want to "clear" because the alarm element is either no longer valid, or subject to change, so I dont want to keep the previous statuses, anyway, I want to completely delete the alarm, not only clear the status) What happens : The alarm is deleted and I land on a page
I can´t receive twitts when a service is down but when the service is getting up the twitt is received..
can anyone help me?? i´m tryin to probe if the twitts are working, i changed the IP of my router inside the opmanager (i don't touch my router) to simulate a shutdown, the opmanager shows me the alert but any twitt is sending, but when i return the correct ip on the opmanager, i receive the twitt telling me the service now is OK. what am i doing wrong?? regards
OpManager - Cannot change Vendor field
I am working with an existing OpManager 7.x environment. I am setting up the partition % free space on 100+ servers and about 40 of them did not have a 'vendor' specified even though the OS in many cases is indicated. I cannot add more counters until the vendor and OS are specified. OpManager however does not appear to let me change the vendor to anything other than 'unknown'. I would like to just change it to 'Microsoft', I also tried Dell/HP in some cases but get the same result. When I do change

Device-integration between opmanager and sdp not functioning
Hi I have both opmanger and sdp running on the same machine in the most recent versions. My problem is that not all my opmanager devices allows me to see the corresponding sdp requests, I can do it for one device but cannot make it work on others. Need to rebuild MSSQL server back-end
Hi, I installed OpManager build 8720 and the NFA plug-in on a server and attached them to another MSSQL server. On the server where I installed the MSSQL I also installed the DeviceExpert. Unfortunately the customer needs to format and rebuild the MSSQL server from the scratch. How I can procede? I thought to: - backup the OpManager and NetFlow DB: how??? - backup the DeviceExpert DB: how??? - stop the services on both the servers - the customer rebuild the server from the scratch: Win 2008 + MSSQL

Interface - Status - Still first polled..
Hi - All my interface statuses are showing the first poll status. The graphs are polling and showing the proper bandwdith but the Interface Details and Utilization graphs are stuck on the 1st polled numbers. See Attachment. Is there a setting I need to refresh this?

Hi I'm in the process of setting up some CCTV views for use on a large screen in the office, and there are a couple of things I'd like to display, but I can't seem to find a widget that meets my requirements. OPManager Distributed Version Generating unwanted mail trafic! ...BUG?
We have recently noticed that the opmanager which we are using for monitoring our network is sending unwanted mails with another sender name than it is been configured! The mails are being send from our central monitoring server. How I can see, all the mails are being generated by an JavaMail.System@... Opmanager build 8700 - issues adding servers
Just wanted to see if anyone else has had an issue adding servers after an upgrade to build 8700? Specifically that when a server is added, it says "Device added successfully." however the machine isn't actually added to the device collection, and can be re-added over and over again, it almost seems like the database isnt being updated or something similar. just wanted to see if anyone else has come up with a solution, thanks,

We have had an eval of 5.6 running for some time after been supplied by yourself with an extension eval. We have purchased ops, service desk and wifi manager. Is there any way we can move data from ops 5.6 into 6 or will we have to start from scratch.
add f5 LTM to opmanager
hi all, can anyone suggest how to add mib file of F5 LTM in opmanager. After adding the F5 in to opmanager it shows few stats by default but we are looking for detailed ones. Whenever we try to check specific OID it says this oid already exists with F5 LTM XXXX model number which is correct but it does not show any option how to enable those. We are evaluating OpManager with Netflow add-on. After installation and logged in to OpManager, I received following error when I select NetFlow Traffic Analyzer module in Op Manager. MIB Upload - Error Parsing

Incorrect values on Windows 2008
Hi Everyone, We recently migrated our file server over to Windows 2008. I've got SNMP installed and configured the same as I do on other servers. When I test the credentials they pass. However I noticed Op Manager is giving two incorrect readings about the device. 1. Op Manager reports the disk utilization at 100%. The server has 2 drives. One is 140 Gigs with 114 free, and the other is 2 Terabytes with 1.7 free. Where is the 100% coming from? 2. Oddly enough, when I add the monitor for Op Manager

Hi, We have tested with the Twitter function of Opmanager 8720. We are finished, and we like to stop it. We have removed the notification profile from all monitored objects. We have deleted the notification profile. We have run a mysql command to remove the twitter login and pass from OPmanager. But stil our firewall repors OPmanager sending messages to Twitter: https://twitter.com/direct_messages.xml?since_id=0&?since_id=0& How can we stop OPmanager from contacting Twitter ? Thanks to Mike, Gabriel, Sunil and Muthu for getting all of our non Windows boxes to report correctly. I had been searching for a host resource file which works with all our non Windows servers (AIX, HP UX, Solaris and Linux). But none of them worked in correctly reporting CPU, Disk and Memory utilization on all platforms. There are a lot of repeat posts on the Opmanager forum with no solution posted after the issue has been resolved. The attached file worked for me, finally! Thanks!
Is there a Database Schema (including only the most important tables) available like there is for ServiceDesk Plus?

I dont want to be intrusive in your work methods, but I notice that often the patch notes that are given with an update does not seem to reflect all the updates and fix that the patch brings. Is the second time I saved a new Business view and after two or three days, the opmanager renamed my map to UNNAMED and I lost my backgroud image. No I can open the business view on edit mode but I can´t rename the map and I can´t change the backgroud Image. How can I solve that? Thks
Number of connections to each database using MSSQL monitor dashboard?
Right now the dashboard gives only a total number of database connections to the server and it does not break down the number of connections to each database. My MSSQL server has 20 databases and I would like to monitor how many connections there are to each of them. Is this possible?

Hello We are using demo version of OpManager and trying to make clear event for syslog message. Our devices sometimes send messages about EIGRP events. Monitoring ESX and VM through Firewall and NAT
Hello to all, I recently update to sp7 - monitoring ESX Server feature is great and I had added all ESX server. I monitored these ESXs through gateway / NAT and therefore VM hosted on ESXs are not pingable (because of firewall and because of NAT). So Alarms are fired and ESX are displayed in red whereas there is no specific issue. Is there a way to disable these specific alarm ? How can I do that ? Thanking you in advance sebastien
