SMPT external
Hi I want to set SMPT settings to an external server. Example i want to be able to use smtp.gmail.com We want to do this for priority alarms, so that a third party can be notified. This monitoring will be through a second link, so will have access to internet if our main service goes down. We do not want to use our exchange server, as this defeats the purpose (if our main link is down) there is no way of communicating to the server. this second link is seperate to network for security reasons.
Folder Monitor in OpManager
I have several network appliances that I have setup to dump a backup file of their config to a server every night. Is there a way to use the Folder monitor in OpManager to check to see if the files are coming in every day? What I want is OpManager to look at the folder, see if a file was saved there in the past day. Is that possible?
Opmanager URL Monitors dont show up in dashboard
I have added URL monitors via the Admin section of Opmanager My dashboard shows the number of monitors I added via the admin section, but when I click on URL monitors the view indicated there are no monitors in the database. Do the URL monitors in the Maps view have to be URL monitors set up i nthe server profiles or is there a way to put the URL monitors I configured in the Admin section in view? OpManager Distributed Edition (build 7502): Database maintenance and CPU-usage issues/problems

Hi Team We tried to set up a Downtime and verify the Availability of servers, but there is a mismatch in OPM report. request id ##4294860## Please check this attached report for Server Availability and the Downtime scheduler configured for this system KNB-AV-01 which is in the Downtime Schedule. Wrong bandwidth shown in the historical gpaph
Hi, I'm monitoring a 1.54M link using Opmanager. When I generate a graph for this interface (in realtime) it generates a accurate graph. But if I generate the same report for a custom period, it gives wrong values in the Y axis. For an example I'm getting 17.5Mbps of traffic in the 1.5Mbps link. Please refer the attachment. Thank you. Query last pulled value from all monitors
Hi, Today i notice that some of the monitors are actually not getting any value from server. Since the "Monitor" does not showing the last pulled value like how it showing for MSSQL / Exchange Monitor, it is really troublesome to check one-by-one by clicking "edit" -> "test monitor" So, can someone help me to provide a SQL query that will query the last pulled value (within 24 hours) fro all monitors? -- Regards, Anandharaj System Engineer (Unix / Linux)

Hi, I want to have a quick overview of the windows services that assigned to all devices. Can some one help me with the query? This report should include any service(s) that is not assigned to any device also. I know there is "windows service monitor availability" report, but i want the report to be based on service. RPC Server unavailable
Hi! On most of our virtualized (VMWare) Win2008 servers we get the "RPC server unavailable" when trying to set up WMI based monitoring. RPC server is up and running, so is WMI and DCOM on all the servers.... Firewall is disabled on all machines, and the servers are on the same subnet as the OPManager server. I have searched through the KB articles and the forums, but so far no luck in finding anything that might resolve the problem.

Comparing the OID, seems like there is some differences. Dashboard Errors
Hello, We're running OpManager 8722. If I try to add a widget to the dashboard, I get a completely white page with Error in the upper right hand corner. I tried rebooting the server running OpMgr. After reboot, I noticed if I go to Maps > Servers > List View that page only shows the menu bar at the top, but none of my servers are listed. However if I click the Maps tab all servers appear normally. Please advice. Tom

Unable To Add Microsoft Virtual Machine Bus Network Adapter Interface
this is a windows 2008 R2 enterprise virtual machine hosted on a windows 2008 R2 enterprise hyper-v host. the is a when i rediscover interfaces it shows a bunch of interfaces that do not exist on the virtual machine. they appear to be interfaces from the host. however the interface that the virtual machine uses is present and has the correct ip. however when i select and and try to add it, it simply does nothing. the interface is never added and there is never an error message. please view this
Ghost Performance Monitors alerting
Note that i am a paying business customer. Please escalate this issue to business support. I created a series of performance monitors deleting and adding until i got it right. (feature request: Let us rename a performance monitor so we can avoid this in the future). So now that i have it right, when the performance monitor goes into alert status, the old performance monitors i already deleted, go into alert to, even though they shouldnt exist. Please tell me why the CPU details of this switch not coming ??? I can get the Memory details and other traffic monitors details too. Windows event log monitoring questions, and a WMI credential question
Hi Guys, Couple of questions for you all. Hopefully you can help me out. Is there a way to check the status of or set the check box located at Actions Menu --> Event Log Rules --> "Monitor Event Log For this device" in bulk for windows servers? I just found a server where this was unchecked, the server had crashed and I was scratching my head as to why I did not get an alarm. Is there a way to set the event log monitoring interval in bulk? Custom Report Graphs not showing data
I have OpManager free edition installed on my machine for testing. I have added the WMI resource monitor for CPU, Disk and memory utilization for 3 mwindows machines. Everything was going fine from the last 1 month. I was able to see the custom report graph for CPU Utilization for my host machine (on which Opmanager is installed) but all of a sudden today when i checked i was not able to see the CPU Utilization custom report graph. It says "Data Not Available". It doesn't even show the last week
opmanager incorrectly setting all interfaces to 10MB
I keep reading about others having this same problem in OpManager. All of the interfaces on my linux Redhat 5.5 show up as 10MB instead of the 1gb and 10 gb that they actually are. I've tried messing with different MIBS and other things with no luck. I've also seen responses from engineers basically saying "not our problem". SNMP returns that, that's all you get. That's not a good answer. I have almost 200 nodes doing this and the other resonse I see from engineers is "go to each device and manually

Using Router Infrastructure for Other devices
Hi, I've saw that the router infrastructure view have some custom graph shown on the snapshot info page and I had an idea that could solve one of our problems with monitoring our checkpoint firewalls. I would like to know if it's possible for example to create a new infrastructure based on Routers infrastructure and change the graphs shown in the Router's health graphs. It could be nice to be able for example to monitor connection/packed accepted/packed dropped or VPN client or site to site connections.
