Using apostrophe ( ' ) when search solutions return no results.
Hello, It was recently brought to my attention that when searching our solution database if we use a term that has an apostrophe in it eg. "Raiser's Edge," then no results will be returned. If on the other hand we use just" Raiser" in the search all of our solutions will be returned. It's more of an annoyance then a real problem, but has anyone else encountered this?
Add Notes to report field?
Hello, Is there a way to create a custom report to include the Notes field, so for example I would have a report with the following columns: Note --- Subject --- Requester Name --- Assigned To --- Group --- Status --- Created Date --- ID For the Note column, it would only need to display the most recent Note added or last note updated? Is this possible? I can't seem to find a way to do this or even a way to simply add the Note field as an option in a report. Any help would be appreciated. Regards,
Creating a Request Filter

Let the users know their desktop is shared
I removed the option to "let the users know their desktop is shared" in remote control settings, but when I retrieved the option again it didn't work and still users don't know if their desktop is shared or not.. how can I fix this??
Unable to see all processes on Windows 2003 Server
Hi, On some servers I'm unable to monitor some processes (With a windows Monitor) Only a few processes are visible when selecting "Click to add process" in the monitor. The user used to monitor the servers is local admin. Are there any other rights needed? Application Manager version : 9001 Thanks .
History not updated when attached file is modified
We have a process where a ticket is automatically generated, a report is run and the report is attached to the ticket, then closed. However, there is NO history recorded when the attached file is deleted, modified or re-attached. This creates a loss of accountability, since the report could have been modified and re-attached without anyone knowing.

Traffic is not monitored
Hi! I have a problem with one of our Linux servers. No traffic is monitored there. The credentials work correct (SNMP and CLI). The port is shown as "available" but no other data will be collected. Performance monitors do not work all of a sudden
Hi all, we are using Opmanager for our customers, all of a sudden the performance monitors for a few customers - not all- stopped working. Problem with software assets / database corrupt?
When I add a new software license and edit this asset afterwards the form is not the license form but the standard asset form (see attached images). Is there a wrong configuration in the product type "software" perhaps? How can I correct the problem? Regards, Peter
Apparent loss of historical traffic record
Hello, We're running NetFlow Analyzer 7.0 (build 7000) on RHEL 4.0 and recently noticed that the historical information has either disappeared or is no longer being displayed. Traffic graphs and data points display for no longer than 15 minutes at best (often 10 minutes). Disk space is NOT an issue. We're configured to maintain 3 days of raw dataand we've only used 67 of our licensed 100 interfaces. Restarting the services on the server has not helped. If someone could please point me toward
Since Daylight saving - SD+ not has Incorrect time stamp on notes
Since daylight savings kicked in we hav had an issue with the time in Servicedesk Plus. When we login we can see the correct time along the banner at the top, however when we add notes the notes are time stamped an hour earlier. We have checked the server and it has the correct time. Duplicated Monitor Data
HI, I recently deleted a monitor information Apache, MySql, etc... and the name of the server/host was ABC123 for example. I reformat and reinstall that machine but now have a diferent hostname "ABC1" and I can added to the AppManage but when trying to add the other monitors such as Apache, MySql, etc.. AppManage add them under the old name ABC123. How can I get rid of that or make the monitors be under the new host. And yes, the server have the same IP address as before the installation, the only
Cant load MIB from QNAP TS-509
Trying to upload a mib file I got from the manufacturer QNAP fot model TS-509. However, it cant be uploaded in the MIB Browser. It just says "Cant upload MIB". If i drop the mib file to the Opmanager server in folder Opmanager\mibs I can see it in the browser but I cant select it. Error message: Error parsing MIB:NAS.mib Exception while loading MIB:Could not parse the file C:/Program Files/AdventNet/ME/OpManager/./mibs/NAS.mib. CPU Usage
The CPU usage on our new install of ADManager Plus is above 80% all of the time and hovers at 100%. When looking at the processes on the server it seems like java.exe is taking as much of the processer usage. The memory usage is also constantly growing on the java.exe process. Are there any known issues?
Activated AD Authentication, now no login
Late in the day on Friday, I implemented Active Directory authentication for users. Now, when I try to bring up SDP's Web client, I get a blank page. No logos, no login, no dashboard, nothing. Just white space. Anyway for me to reverse this, or to alter the authentication? I'm sure I got something wrong in that.
2003Svr stops allowing ELA host to pull logs
Recently noticed one of our 2003 Srv’s stopped responding to ELA. I’m thinking this is system specific, but thought I would run by support to see if there are any other known issues other than in documentation that I could be missing. Closing a job from the resolution page
Service desk plus 7.5.0 Build 7513 We have a rule that requires a technician to be assigned to a job before it is closed. When closing a job normally, we get a pop up box to notify us if no technician is assigned. If we close a job from the resolution tab by using the drop down box at the bottom of the page, it will save the resolution text, but the job doesn't get closed - but there is no popup to inform you of the rule, or the failure to close the job.

Memory readings
HI, must off all my servers are linux Ubuntu server. I know that ubuntu use or is a memory hug but that's the way works. The thing is AppManager is telling me that this server is using 38% of memory and when I enter to the server is using just 4% of memory.

Reply mail not sent to requester when adding a new request
Look Bluds, When I click the 'Add request' button at the bottom of the new request page service desk gets stuck and doesn't return to the requests screen. Also, no reply mail has been sent to the client so I guess this is the stage it is getting stuck on. Has anybody else had this issue? Any idea?
Modification of Closed Tickets
We have a process whereby a recurring ticket is generated. The ticket requires a technician to run a report, attach the report to the ticket, then submit it for approval by a supervisor. After it's approved by the supervisor, the ticket is closed. BACKUP causes the whole server to freeze!
I have a major issue here, I tried to do a backup for the system and once it is excuted it run for awhile to do the back up then the whole server freezes and the system is no longer accessible , i have to hard restart the server to be online again. can you please assist on this issue urgently
Deleting a software asset
When trying to delete a "scanned software" I am getting the following message: "FAILURE :Some of the software is been referred by workstations. Hence cannot delete software further." The issue is that this software is not currently attached to any machines and I would like to remove it or rename it so it isn't used. In the past it may have been associated with a machine, but the association no longer exists. Thanks.
HTTP 500 Error in Backup and Reports

Frustration...
Hi, OpManager is a fantastic product...when it works. For some reason, today i can't monitor AD or Exchange. Most of the AD monitors report N/A and when i test the monitor, it tells me it isn't responding. This has happened a few times now and i usually have to stop and start the services on the OpManager server. As i said, OpManager is good but it's annoying when it just stops monitoring. Nothing has changed on our servers so it must be down to OpManager. Can anybody advice please?? Matt H
Too much notifications for technicians
Hello, Our technicians complaint to current SD notification mechanism. The main reason of the issue is that SD sends the alerts even if it was not necessary. For example when technician assigned the requests to himself he always getting alerts. Why does he need to get an alert if it was actually he who has assign the request? My Regards, Vlad
Deleting an attached file
Hi, When I try to delete a file from a request, I click in the delete button (like an "x" beside the attached name) and the file "disappear" from the request page. So, I update the request with the button with the same name and, when the request appears again, I can see the same file that I have deleted in the request.Am I doing something wrong or it's a system bug? Weird Proxy issue
When I want to access PMP from internet, when I do this I have a weird issue... PMP is accessed from the internet on HTTPS (443) and nat-ed to PMP-server on port 7272. I get the log on page, so far so good. Then when I try to log in it won't go any further and get eventually a time out. I see in the browser that it has problems with "j_security_check"... Now here is the odd thing: when I enable HTTP (80) and redirect it to the PMP-server, log in runs flawessly!!!! I really don't want to open HTTP
Unusable field in request form - Asset
