Failover scenario
Hi Support Team, we have a Primary-/Standby-Server setup in failover configuration and if the network connection collapses the replication scenario crashs too. Explanation: Server1 runs in primary mode, Server2 in standby mode - heartbeating Server1. If Server1 loses network connectivity, Server2 switches over to primary mode (and Server1 is also in primary mode, without network access). If now Server1 re-establish the network connection, both servers running in primary mode and database replication
Bug: Import Feature and Password Reset
If import resources from a CSV file, such as a Linux host, I cannot then go back and configure password reset, because a message pops up saying that two accounts must be entered. However, there is no way to enter an additional account except when you manually enter the resource. The edit resource dialog does not allow one to edit all the information that the new resource dialog does.
Switch Port Mapper is no longer working in OpManager 8022
This was once an issue that support was able to resolve, however this has cropped up again. OpManager's Switch Port Mapper does not display MAC address, IP Address or DNS name. Checked that the correct community string was in place, tested to see if this was an issue with the switch being mapped so downloaded OpUtils 5.6 which then mapped that switch correctly. Issue with a user trying to add notes in OPManager

Service keeps restarting
When ever I select run now from the Domain Settings screen, the service stops. Then it starts itself again. This only happens when I hit run now for one particular DC. The other one works fine. They are both Win 2003 SP 2. The one that causes the issue is local. The one that doesnt is remote. Before I purchase the product, I hope you can resolve this issue for me. How to restore the admin-account
We managed to reassign the administrator somehow to be a normal support rep. After logging off and on, we lost access to the configuration. Is there any way to restore the settings of the administrator, so that we can access the system-management again - other than restoring from a backup? Thanks, Rudolf Bom
Can't add/delete Server objects
OpManager deleted some of my servers when I accidental did a import into a new Enterprise View and made all the servers domain controllers. Shame on me for not reading the docs, it also killed all my exchange monitoring which I had to re-do. Now I can't add my servers back, need to force the mysql database to purge out deleted objects. This is a Dual Proc, server with 4 cores and fast SCSI drives with 4gigs of ram.

Standby server have no access to primary database
Hello, I've recognized the following issue a few times, after a fresh installation of OpManager 8022. Setup is as follows: Server1 has a fresh OpM primary installation. Server2 has a fresh standby installation. DB replication from Server1 to Server2 works perfect. Editing Business View Background
Hello, if I want to edit the background image of a business view, I double click in the editor. After that, a dialog should come up, but what happended is, the editor crashs. script_message ignored in case of success in script monitors
Hi, I am using script monitors in application manager and using the ability to override availability and response time in the output file like described in the help. When I set it to failure, I see the script_message in the root cause analysis of my monitor, but I cannot find it when I set script_availability to success. Is that a feature ? Problem with fetching OU's from AD when importing requesters
Hi, We've made some changes in our AD meaning that i need to configure the service desk to look for users in a new OU. When i enter the 'Import Wizard', when i press the 'Fetch OU's from Active Directory Again' button, i get an error stating that ' Exception occured while enumerating oraganizational units'. Requester, additional field, pick list not working.
Version : 7.5.0 Build Number : 7509 I create an additional field for requesters, and choose to have a pick list, then give it some items. When logged in as a requester, I get the additonal field box, but it's not a drop down box, and there are no options, it's empty.
Group and Technician field in Defualt Requester Template can't be added back to it?
Hi, We need Group and Technician field back to the Default Requester Template - but those fields are grayed on the left side of page where you can modify template. I don't know how this happend? Hello, I have an issue with dashbord in ADManager Plus, I created some users to login ADmanager Plus and I Discovered that dashbord is not correctly updated but if I'm using internal account Admin, I get dashboard correctly updated. SC+ 7505 - Portal login redirection
Hi, I'm testing the upgrade of 7505 and have found a couple of issues which I'd like clarification on: 1) I was under the impression that the client portal address of https://<URL>/sd/SolutionsHome.sd was going to be changed to a simpler URL - have I missed a new confirguration setting or has this not been added? 2) When a contact types their username/password incorrectly at the portal page the system redirects them to the support rep login page - is there any way to prevent this happening? I need to utilize the requester to technician function and since we updated to 7.5 it seems to be broke? I also can't edit a technician ie: change groups....when I hit save there is nor error nor does it save when I hit save. Please help..... we are using active Directory authentication. thanks

Hi, There is a way to change the SC+ standard clock? The SC+ here has a diference of 3 hours (I think it's because the GMT time). I have looked at the server time and this is right. Problem when assigning assets to a user
Hi, I have a problem while scanning and assign assets to a user. here are the description: 1. I make individual scan of a machine (m1). 2. I Assign the machine (m1) to the user (u1) 3. I make individual scan of a workstation (m2) 4. The system says me that m2 is assign to u1 5. I replace u1 for u2, in m2 6. m1 is deleted from the system 7. I come back to repeat the operation to workstation m3 8. the system says me that m3 is attributed to u2 9. the situation happens again for all the workstations
Restoring from a backup in 8022
Hi, I am having the following issues on opmanager after upgrading to 8022 1. I made list view as the default view in the dashboard.however now when i try to revert back to get the map view as the default I cannot do so. Is this a bug within 8022?? if not how can i revert back to map view. 2.I had taken a backup using the scripts backupDB.bat,backupConfFiles.bat, and BackupDb_Config.bat.However now when i try to restore using restoreDB.bat. it gives me the followin error. Problem with mail
We are using service desk plus and have had no problem getting our mail. Out of the ble the fetching of mail just stopped. In the admin section where we configure the email everything looks ok, and the mail fetching is running, but it sais that last time it tried to get a mail was thu sep 03 and the time. I have started and stopped the mail fetching but for no use. Anybody who have any good idea why it just stopps and can i force it to fetch mail? Kristin
Cannot add new CCTV
Hi, I am trying to create my own CCTV view with just the Business View and list of alarms, however when I try to do it, I am unable to add a new CCTV view. It just not not show the new CCTV view in the list of CCTV views. It however does not throw and error while adding it. reoccurring problem with login window
we are running the 7.5 version of ServiceDesk plus at our office. Occassionally, in the mornings before any of the employees have logged in, all the service desk login pages do not show the network selection dropdown menu, and therefore none of the users can log in. not even the administrator accounts on the local authentication. Socket time out on Opmanager startup.
Hi, I tried a couple of times to install NFA Add-on to our Opmanager setup. I get the attached error message when I start up the opmanager server after installation. And on the NFA screens, all traffic is categorized "Unaccounted". Even after 2 days of running. Embedded images from email not appearing in description
We moved the email address for servicedesk to Exchange 2007. Now, when emails arrive the tickets are created, but any images that were embedded in the message show up as attachents instead of being in the description of the ticket. I confirmed this behavior with Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007. Corrupt Dashboard, CCTV, and Widget names
I have recently reinitialised our OPManager DB and the components listed in the subject have become corrupt. For example: Network Overview default dashboard now displays as: @(dashboard.name.nwoverview) Device Summary Widget displays as: @(widget.name.devicesummary) All of the Widgets and Dashboards display like this. I've uninstalled and reinstalled OPManager, but the issue remains so it looks like something has gone wrong in the database. Any advice you can provide is much appreciated. regards
