Failover scenario
Hi Support Team,
we have a Primary-/Standby-Server setup in failover configuration and if the network connection collapses the replication scenario crashs too.
Explanation: Server1 runs in primary mode, Server2 in standby mode - heartbeating Server1.
If Server1 loses network connectivity, Server2 switches over to primary mode (and Server1 is also in primary mode, without network access). If now Server1 re-establish the network connection, both servers running in primary mode and database replication crashs too, because of duplicate entries.
To fix this state, we have to set up the replication again. Is there any fix of this issue, so that the standby server returns in standby mode, after primary server re-establish network connection?
