Dear all. We've a problem with scanning windows 7 workstation through asset management. We've disable firewall but error notification about: "No response received from workstation. Probably the workstation might be switched off or does not exist" still appear. At last we recheck again firewall configuration and found that our antivirus program (Trend Micro Office Scan 10) play as a network firewall. Once we remove the antivirus and the scan is SUCCESS. But, our company policy must set Trend Micro
Translation Problem Italian version
Hi, Just signaling a few mistakes in the Italian translation of ServiceDesk. In the italian version the "Asset ID" in the ti ticket request is translated as "Workstation ID", which is not entirely accurate since we associate not just workstations to the users and this create confusion. In the Mail configuration to start and stop the fetcher there is a "INIZIA RIEPILOGO" and "FERMA RIEPILOGO", which in Italian just doesn't make any sense at all. Better to place something like "ATTIVA" and "DISATTIVA".
SDP - Same email address appears twice in the To: field while approving PO when requester is also approver
Hi, I've noticed that in SDP, when a PO requester is set to approve it's own PO requests, the same email address appears twice (divided by comma) in the To: field of the dialog which pops up when Actions ->Approve PO option is selected. Thank you, Miron
Special characters in attachment in reply/forward
Attachments that are added or already existed in a reply/forward of a request and contain a 'special' character are displaying the wrong name in email clients such as lotus notes and outlook, but not webmail clients like gmail and hotmail. Any idea where this replacing of special characters occurs? (screenshot shows 1 attachment that is named ä.html and one (correctly) a_b.html
Patch 97546 - Root Update Oct 2010 does not apply on some machines

Solution Search not working
Hi, Solution search does not work. The only way to see solution is by knowing where they are and browse to them. Furthermore in IE8 if you click on "browse by category" the list that appears disappers as soon as you move the mouse to get on top of it. PS: search in this very forum too dows not work in firefox How can i solve this? Thanks

Recently when using EventLog Analyzer, when we click on a particular service, event, count, etc. Anything that would bring up the detailed pop-out window, the pop-out window says "No Data Found". Regardless of time frame or range, same thing for everything. Reports don't work too.
Email notifications not sending
Hello all, Recently updated to the latest SDP version and email notifications for created requests are no longer working. We can email technicians directly from cases, so the email can work, however the automated notice is not working. Is anyone else experiencing this? 7704 - Automatic Contact login details - URL is wrong
Hi, I've just tested the auto-generated email to notify new contacts that they've been set up with a login account and I'm sad to say that I've found yet another bug. On this occasion the URL which is sent through within the email, referenced as $ServerAliasURL, is coming through in the email as a completely nonsense URL. BUG - Reporting by Specific Times Not Working
I'm trying to generate a report from the previous day but for a specific time period (07h00 - 19h00). However, when the report is generated, it shows that it's for a 24 hour period between 00h00 - 23h59.

Can't open attachments after migration from windows to linux
Hello. I moved SDP from MS Windows Server 2003 R2 to Linux Ubuntu Server 10.10. Everything work fine, but in old (created before migration) requests i cant open attached files. Opens a blank page. In new requests i can open attached files. I tried to repeat migration process from another SDP instanse - the same problem. How i can resolve problem?
Windows Services down - ******ALERTS NOT SENT*******
Hello, I was running Opmgr 8723. We do not get alerts for Windows services that crash anymore. I have opened up a case and uninstalled 8723, but the issue remains. Are there any other clients having this issue? Thanks. Update 3/24: Process monitor alerting broken as well, dead in the water here.
7704 - Upgrade trashes Request filters, displayed columns and their order
Folowing an upgrade to 7704 we have found that, for all our support reps, the Request filters they had selected as their 'default' display when they clicked on the Requests tab have been changed. As well as this, the columns they displayed in this view and the order in which they are displayed were all reset to a very un-helpful 'default'. Whilst I appreciate there's no way for us to retrieve everyone's previously-configured views, could you please ensure that in future updates this information

SDP: Report not working when date is included
Hi, I have most of my reports not working (giving out empty sets even when it is obviously not the case) Trying to launch the query created by the wizard directly on the DB generate a syntax error. It seems that Mysql is unable to understand "longtodate". Mysql is the one installed with servicedesk, not a different installation. What can be wrong? Thank you

Hi, In SPD, when a requester replies to the request using reply button located in Requester Conversations block, the description filed of the requester reply is not being cleared out and is populated with previous technician message when a reply dialog pops up. Process Monitor false positives Alarms
So on several Linux machines we have a process "ksrnd_d" running. We set up alarms to alert us when the process is down so that we may properly restart it, collect crash logs and so on. On Sunday we noticed it said it was down 3 times: 1) 1 minute at 1:22AM 3) 1 hour 16 minutes at 3:04AM 2) 1 hour 17 minutes at 5:47AM That first time happens to be the same time as the poll timer. Active Directory user importing
Hello! I want to report a problem. Situation. We have a multiple domains in our organization: domain1.org.local and domain2.org.local. In domain1.org.local we have user domain1\user, and he was correctle imported into SD. Then we create user in domain2.org.local with name domain2\user. He created incorrectly: in the "domain" field in SD selected "None" by default. I have to correct it manually. Please include fix for this issue into next update patches. Thanks.

Login OpManager problem
I am having serius problems to login in OpManager. I am receiving errors such: SQLException while preparing the statement with id : 19 Cause : Invalid state, the Connection object is closed. SQL Query : select * from UserPasswordTable none of the usernames/passwords works, not even the admin password. So, we forced shutdown OpManager services by shutdown the server. CP logon screen problem on Windows 7 PC

SDP text editor don't work with Firefox 4.0-rc
In Firefox 4.0-rc don't work text editor in resolution tab, Resolution is not saved and rich text buttons do not change text format. Weird things happen when patching a PC
Kind of hard to explain but when we patch a PC with a patches it seems to steal the active window focus. As an example I patched a users PC today with the base configuration of doing it silently and not requiring a reboot. While the user was working he would continually have the focus taken off of his database window requiring him to click back on the database window to make it active. While I was at his desk it too the focus off the window minimum of 5 times.

7704 - Go to box in Requests tab doesn't truncate input
Hi guys, A small problem, but an annoying one nonetheless. If you paste a Request ID into the Go To box in the Requests tab and leave a space at either the start or end, the system prompts you with the following message: Please enter only Numeric values I imagine it would be a relatively simple task for you to strip any white space before and after the text which would prevent this message and speed use of the system up slightly. Hi all, I am using the latest version of SDP (8003), and I am having a problem with "Manufacturers" (mandatory field). These are recognized when a workstation is scanned and automatically added to the database. But it turns out that software manufacturers not always use a standard name, so you will end up with something like "Adobe Systems", "Adobe Inc." "Adobe Incorporated", all of them being the same! and having software linked to them. SDP 8 does not allow to change/edit the name of the manufacturer

7704 - Attachments not brought through from emails
Guys, Further to our problem with images from a specific account, we've now realised that their attachments aren't being pulled into SC+ either. This is now a bigger problem than previously, as attachments often contain business-critical information required to resolve our incidents - much more so than images. Startup and shutdown errors
Trying to stop/start the Applications Manager service from the links in the start menu usually fails with an error about amlock. I am able to start and stop the service with Windows Services so it's not too much of an issue, but I wondered if there is a problem doing this and that's the reason for the links in the start menu. Uptime reports don't print colour
Hi, when I print an uptime report, although it displays correctly on screen, the green bars just have a white background when printed to paper. individual conversation graphs not working
Please see the attached screenshots. If I try to view a graph of an individual conversation, the graph doesn't show the lines for the data. Exporting to a pdf also doesn't show the actual line on the graph. The Main graph regarding all flows on an interfaces shows correctly, but when you drill down and find a user that is using a large amount of data, you can't generate a report on it.
Inaccurate "Processor Name" in Assets Report
Now that we've finally updated to SD 8.0 Build 8009, we're testing out the Asset Inventory module. One of the things we've come across is that the CPUs in some of our modern HPs like our HP DC5800's with Core2Duo being reported as Intel Pentium III Xeon processor and HP 3130Pros with Core i5 being reported as Intel Pentium II processor.
