CI Name without DNS record
I have dozens of devices on my network that are only reporting back only IP addressesd (mostly printers). If I change the CI name to allow my tech staff to better identify the asset and for reporting purposes, future scans all fail as the device does not have a reverse DNS record for that CI name to IP address. Problem with description request
Greetings, when I place the cursor on of the request, the description shows me, as you see in the image below. But when I access in the request, doesn’t show me any description. We are using SDP 8.1 build 8125.
Unknown type OIDs that are not routers, switches, printers or access point
How do we handle assets scanned that report invalid OIDs that are not of the type routers, switches, printers or access point? We have networked devices such as Environment Monitors, UPC's, Power Strips, etc that are network devices that can communicate via SNMP, but are not of the types available. I am unable to identify the device by OID correction, and without that, scans continually fail on that device. I am on 8.1 build 8127
HTTPS redirect doesn't work with mobile view

Password resets failing
Hi, I am trying to reset passwords on a remote resource and can't see why it's failing. Strangely it works for some of my resources. The error thrown in Password Manager is: 1. Cannot delete request
We are running SD+ MSP and when running a report of all unassigned tickets, there is always a single ticket/request which always shows as not being assigned to a technician. The request cannot be viewed in any account or by using the all requests filter under the request tab. If we search for the ticket number in the "Go To --Request ID --" box at the top of the request screen, it goes to a new screen with the following message Request does not fall under your permitted scope. Apple and Printing Devices do not show DNS names or Device Types in IPAM
How can I get my apple products and printers (HP, Xerox) to show up in IPAM correctly? Right now, IPAM pulls the IP and MAC address but no names. I know they're not in my AD DNS but shouldn't they pull right from those devices? If I do an SNMP scan, the names are there.
Unable to close ticket created through Service Catalogue
I have just finished populating the Service Catalog, i have gone through the testing period to see whether it all works as it should and unfortunately it does not. I have a 'pick list' which i have created in the 'Additional Fields' section of the Service Catalog so it is available to all of the template forms i create (see below). When attempting to close the ticket it shows the below although the field CIA Incident Type is filled in. Does anyone have any idea as to what i can do to sort this please?
Fail change template
I open the the request and click the Close button. I show a window that does not fill the field and opens the editing mode. In this window, I try to change the template request that the field would be filled in automatically, but it reloads the page and I see the window for creating a new request. If I open the request and click edit and change my template, all ok.
Vulnerability DB Update Failed
Hi Team, I am currently having issues with the vulnerability database on my server (Desktop central MSP 8) not updating. It says that the last successful update was on Feb 13, and it has failed on every attempt since then. This happens both with the scheduled update and a manual update. If I click on the "Failure" link to get more detail, it just says "Failed to Update the Vulnerability DataBase on 2013-03-19 09:00:00". Expried Warranty Report - CSV
I would like to have DC8 send me automated reports with a list of machines whose warranties have expired. Unfortunately when I go to DC8 > Reports > Add Scheduled Report, select Inventory Reports > Expired Warranty and choose to the results e-mailed in CSV format, the report I recieve includes machines that have warranties that have not yet expired. Automate patch deployment reboot policy
Hi, We are facing problem in “ManageEngine Desktop Central MSP 8” that during Automate Patch Deployment, Restart Pop-Up is coming very frequently on user’s system (even after restarting whenever asked to restart). Current reboot policy is “Allow user to skip Reboot”. We need to find an option to deploy all missing patches in one shot and need only one reboot after the FINAL patch deployment. I'm using the free admin tools and whenever i use the Shutdown/restart or GPO update tool i get the message Status: Failed and Remarks: Host is not reachable. The workstation is running windows 7 enterprise 32 bit with SP 1 and the server is 2008 R2 Enterprise 64 BIT. The tools worked when the workstation was XP PRO, but now the tools wont work on the station, even thought the workstation sees the server and the tools see the workstation. Any feedback will be great.
Required firewall ports
Hello, I am attempting to bring into management a certain subnet in our office so that we can start scanning and re-mediating servers. This subnet is behind and internal firewall managed by our security team. I need to provide them a list of ports which need to be open, both ways, between the subnet the Desktop Central server is on and the subnet needing to be managed. Popup/dialog placement with Dual Screens
When running reports and editing the filter criteria (eg. account reports by product, setting product filter criteria) when clicking the star icon to invoke the product list popup - if the browser session is on the 2nd screen the popup appears with a massive horizontal offset requiring the user to scroll right a long way to select the criteria If the browser is on the "home" screen this does not happen. Using IE9 - doesn't matter whether I set Compatibility Mode on or off, same happens. Ditto

Request summary out by one day
Hi We have noticed an issue with our request summary for this week displaying data a day early. Mondays call are showing under Sunday and so forth. The data displayed under last week displays fine. SDP 8.0 beta - Deleted all product type list - Assets / Resources still shows default IT Assets - Error 404
I am using the SDP 8.0 beta and under Asset Management - Product Type, I selected all fromt he Product Type List and clicked on Delete. When I go then to the Assets Tab and look under Resources, it still shows the default IT Assets (printers, servers, workstations, Switches, etc) but when I click on them, it displays error 404. I have tried to add the product types back, and that did not help. I also have added some additional ones and they are not showing up. I have then imported all of my assets
Backup Tech and Business Rules
We have a business rule that assigns requests from a certain campus to a certain tech, but when that tech is out sick, we send someone to fill in and set the backup tech option in SDP. The problem is that the request follows the rule and assigns the ticket to the original tech for the campus and never gets routed to the backup tech. How do we get this to work without having to disable the original rule?

I can't set site based DC's after the update to version 4590. Dear Support, I got problem with WMI monitoring, cannot get data CPU, Memory and all monitoring. but when I test WMI credential setting get output normal, then I test with WMI Tester get output normal too. when I test monitor get data CPU or Memory show error message. Problem with copying SLA's
I can't seem to copy my entire SLA's from my default setting onto my sites. It does everything from the name of the SLA and the times/days etc, however it doesn't include who to escalate too. For instance i want a number of people notified when a sla level 1 is broken, however it doesn't copy that formation at all. Anyone now a way around this?

issues after router reload without snmp-server ifindex persist
we reloaded a router this past week that did not have "snmp-server ifindex persist" configured and now the interfaces we were monitoring are not named properly in NetFlow Analyzer. I tried deleting the router and all the interfaces, but they pop-back in right away with the incorrect interface names and types. how can I competely remove that router and all its interface information from netflow analyzer so I can set it up the way I want in Netlflow Analyzer?

License Management configuration disappearing
I am working through the process of configuring the License Management section of DC8 (Inventory > Manage Licenses). I have successfully set up a number of software groups and then configured licences using those groups. My problem is that when I edit any of my software groups by adding a new software version and marking it as the 'major version', any licenses that were previously associated with that group disappear. The only fix seems to be creating a new license from scratch and re-configure everything.
ELA not starting after upgrade
Upgraded my distributed version, 2 out 3 of my servers came up. One has not, although the service is stated on the Server when i browse to the log on page i get : HTTP Status 404 - /event/index3.do type Status report message /event/index3.do description The requested resource (/event/index3.do) is not available.
