inconsistencies setting up FIM on member servers
Hi we have a group of 60+ member servers behind a firewall that I am setting up for FIM and for the most part it appears to work fine but I have some issues. I set up a test where I create a fake dll file on the server then delete it and then see if the data get into ADAudit. I would say this seems to work about 70% of the time. Every time I go to the server make sure "Force audit policy subcategory" is enabled, check SACL on desired folders to be monitored is applied, verify all desired advanced
'Primary Owner'
In Desktop Central, when I go to Inventory, Computers and then click a computer, at the top there is a spot for 'Primary Owner'. It is blank on all of my computers. Where do I set that or where does it pull from? Eric
I can deploy Internet Explorer 11 to computers that have IE8 or IE9 installed, but am receiving Unknown Error Code 40024 if the computer has IE10 installed. Any ideas?
I've used the templates for installing the prerequisite updates as well as the templates for deploying IE11, but it just isn't working. I've also tried removing the /passive switch from the template so it's just using /quiet /norestart and still no luck. Thanks, William
Bug in "software metering"
The "File Name" field doesn't accept special characters, even if they are valid file names. For example, VMWare View Client's file name is "vmware-view.exe", but DC says that is invalid.
Patch already installed -- but Desktop Central try to install with Fail
Hello, I don´t know, if there is a way to suppress such warnings or better question, if there are patches already installed, why try the Desktop Central to install such Patches? If you can see at the atteched picture, there are some Patches, for which the Desktop Central Software themselve say, these Patches are already installed, but at the same time, they say, these Patches are missing. I try to rescan several times, reboot the affected PC and rescan again....still the same...on one site it say

v8.2 - history disappeared from a ticket
Here is a problem I have never encountered before. I had closed a ticket for a customer and she could see the resolution in the history but then the history disappeared and it had disappeared when I went into the ticket as well. I re-opened the ticket and eventually for me the history re-appeared so I was able to email the details to the customer as she could still not see it. It is really weird as it comes and goes as in this snip. I am using Internet Explorer 11 and have cleared the cache

Network Monitoring Not Updating
I'm testing out the Network Monitoring feature of OpUtils. I have entered a server's IP and it shows the server as running. However, it keeps showing the server as running, even after the server is shutdown. The refresh period is set to 1 minute. Even after bouncing the OpUtils service, it continues to show the server as running. Please advise.

Can't copy and paste new monitor
Maybe it's just my inexperience, but I can't seem to get copy and paste monitor to work at all. Not a huge deal normally, but I have a cluster of identical servers that serve up a java application that gives us specific data via mbeans. I want to duplicate the monitor I created on 1 server to also monitor the other 11. We are monitoring about 8 of the mbeans out of several hundred, so to go back and recreate the monitors without copy and paste is a task that may take weeks...days at minimum. Copy

Product Name is not visible in asset's CI info [ CLOSED ]
Hi, It seems that the field Product Name (aka Product Type) is only visible in the CI Info of workstations, but is not visible in other item types. Asset editing issue persists after update from 9207 to 9214
So we have an interesting issue, that is also being looked at by support (#7412811). We cannot successfully edit non-CI type assets in the Asset nor the CMDB tab. In the Requester Details section of a request, over to the right and just above the Subject field: I have been using this field to include others so that they get updates on the work order. Thinking they would get the same emails as the requester. But that is not what is happening. Can you please direct me to where I should go to see how this works, or perhaps you know, or perhaps it needs configured? Or... maybe it does something other than what I am thinking it would do. OpManager missing tables after power outage
Our OpManager server was powered off and after powering back on and trying to run OpManager it stated that there was a problem and to run repairdb.bat, ran it, rebooted and now all tables have disappeared. I have attached the log files for today, please can you advise. Thanks Andy

hello, SDP Build 9215 MSSQL IE11 We have templates that have category and subcategory fields disabled so the user only has to pick the particular ITEM. When the technician goes to close the request, gets message Category and Subcategory fields need to have a value. (already populated in the template albeit it disabled.). The bug seems to be SDP+ logic considers a disabled field as unpopulated? Regards,
After update to Desktop Central SP2 or later remote control stops working.
Build 91124 works. But when I try to update to 92041 it stops working and just errors out.
New Problem after update from 9120 to 9208 with the permission to see tasks.
We updated from 9120 to 9208. If I click on the button All Tasks to show the list of all tasks now I'm able to see all tasks even the ones which I don't have the permission to open. If I click on a privat task of another technician I get an error message I can't see the details of the task, that's good. But I can see the title of the task in the list and this could be meaningful and should be not visible to other technicians who don't have acces to these private tasks. This wasn't a problem in the
Mobile App
We are currently running ADSelfService Plus 5.3 build 5314. Looking at the mobile app deployment I was trying to get to the Mobile App Deployment/ configuration. The page never loads. Using firefox it shows connecting for over 10 min now. Using IE just sitting at waiting on..... I can download the app from iTunes, config and connect with no problem

SNMP timeout not displaying alert
Hi, I added an SNMP device to OpManager v12. It shows correctly as an SNMP device in the inventory. I then stopped SNMP from the client. I expected an SNMP timeout alarm or something similar to show in OpManager but the status of the device still shows as clear and no alarm was triggered. The device is a Virtual Machine running Linux. Did I miss certain configuration? Thank you.
Custom monitor problems
Hi, I am running OpManager v12. I have been trying to add custom monitors to my device but I have some issues. I went to device template -> Add Template. I added the Device template name, a new vendor name, category is unknown. Device Identifier (sysOID). I then added a new Monitor. Some issues seem to be present: 1) When I add a new monitor, often times it just goes away. When I click again on my custom device template. I can't find it in the Monitor section or in the list of vendor monitors.

Hello, On a notification mails there is a link to the ticket like https://domainname/ChangeDetails.do?CHANGEID=4115 and its working fine but sometimes on some users (not on all users) its leading to the https://domainname/HomePage.do?SkipNV2Filter=true&CHANGEID=4115 when click it and opening the homepage not ticket. Service Catalog > Resource Info Issues
Hi, We've just added a few questions to our Test system for a New Service Catalog service and added two Resource Titles in the Resource Info area. For some reason we cannot remove a one of these now that it has been added, but we can amend it, add previous questions etc. but cannot remove the Resource Title.
