Recover .mdf file of SQL server
I am trying to use my database file which is in .mdf format and created on the date 14 July. Whenever i try to use my file in order to restore and update the database, it show the error message of corruption and i can't able to open them. So i am urgent looking for a reliable solution which help to recover and restore .mdf file of SQL server. Any suggestion will be appreciated.
Agent Up is down after refresh
Hi, I am using DesktopCentral supplement to the SDP . I moved the application to a new server and i have a problem. In SoM status is Up but after refresh is Down. The computer is running and has a new server ip .
Agent Re-installation Error Message
I have a machine that had the Desktop Central Agent installed. The machine was moved to a different physical location. I was unable to remote to the machine so I did an uninstall of the agent. Now when I try to install the agent I get message - "This advertised application will not be installed because it might be unsafe. Contact your administrator to change the installation user interface option of the package to basic." Has anyone encountered this problem and know a fix? The machine is a Windows
prevent dcmsghandler.exe from taking focus?
Hi, One of my windows 7 pcs on the network is used as a media player to display promotional material but dcmsghandler.exe regularly steals focus which causes the media play to minimise and the desktop to be displayed. I've tried to run the media player in "fake" full screen (windowed mode without toolbar etc) and enabled the "stay on top" setting but it still minimises about 3x per hour. How can I prevent dcmsghandler.exe from doing this please? Paul
Management Console Application
Will ManageEngine ever create a Windows application to manage all devices? I came from a LANDesk environment where they relied on using a dedicated application for the management and service desk portions. They also let you create tickets using a web interface. While ManageEngine is strictly web applications, is there any future development in the works for dedicated applications as another option? Owner Information for machines
I have been trying to tidy up the list of machines in my SoM and cannot seem to find a way to Add/Edit the owner of a machine. Had a quick look through guides online but nothing explains how to add/edit owner information. Can someone point me in the right direction please? Thanks

I am trying to figure out how to create a report to identify hosts that are missing a certain application or running service. I can create a report to show services or applications not like X. however that shows every service on every box and creates a huge report. All i want is a machine name missing a certain application or running service. I know i can run a report to find what boxes is running X then run a report on all boxes and compare via excel but I was looking for a way to just do it in

SoM - add computers - nothing happens
This has been present for at least a couple of patch versions. In the Scope of Management screen, if I click Add Computers, I see my domains. If i click Select Computers beside my domain nothing happens when usually there's a pop-up with a list of computers available. Due to this I can't remotely add the client to any machines. I've tried it in Firefox 39.0.3 and IE 11. I've cleared cache, nothing, pop-up blockers are off.
Desktop Central Server applied in DMZ
Hi Community, my environment forces me to deploy Desktop Central Server inside DMZ. We also have a Workgroup and Windows 7 Home Premium Clients. DMZ is realised with an Asus Router rt-ac68u with tomato firmware. Desktop Central Server is connected via VPN to local LAN but the system is not able to auto discover the systems. java.exe*32 service take 100% cpu
I have Desktop Central MSP Build 80295 installed on a Windows 2008 STD SP1 server on VMware. Now when I start the ManageEngine Desktop Central MSP service the java.exe*32 service take 100% cpu. The application runs for around 10 min then it stops. Any ideas as to why ?

Hi Recently desktop central agent has stopped installing when done manually. When pulled directly from the server and run the agent requests a batch file to be run (version 9). If I try run version 8 of the agent there is no issue and it installs as before. Has this been reported as an issue? G

Server locks up when Desktop Central service starts
I've recently inherited a server where the processor sticks at 100% and the whole box locks up anytime the Desktop Central starts. I do know that the previous owner had recently updated it and scheduled it to push out updates. Scope of Management Add Computers Clear All Option
There desperately needs to be a Clear All Option for the 'Selected Computers' section of the Admin > Scope of Management > Add Computer(s). Once you have computers in this list you have to manually click the little red X one by one to remove them. And no matter how many times you log out & log in.. Update the server.. Your recent selected computers are still there waiting for you. One of my Peers accidentally selected the entire AD OU. Now across ALL Admins we have 2,245 systems to clear from this

Invalid User Credentials after demoting domain controller
I cannot login to Desktop Central 9_1_0 patch 25 after demoting a 2008R2 domain controller and adding a 2012 domain controller. New User - some questions/problems
Hi there, we are currently evaluating DC for our company. I've stumbled across some problems and questions in handling, so maybe you can give me some hints: Test in columns sometimes gets cut off really bad, so i.e. in inventory - I can see OS version "Windows 7.." but not the "...SP1 (x64)". Apparently all column width seem to be fix. OK, they expand a little bit, when I remove columns from view, but still some are way too big while others too small. Is there any possibility to change (and save)
Live Chat broken in 91002?
"Support -> Contact Us -> Live Chat" doesn't work anymore after upgrade to 91002. Clicking on the link does nothing in both IE11 and Firefox 37.0.2. I did work couple of hours before upgrad as I had exchange with the support guy through it.
Dell warranty status failing on all machines
Anybody else having trouble with Dell Warranty statuses not being pulled automatically via service tag. Our installation of Desktop Central is new but it appears that our Dell machines are showing warranty as expired, the warranty date field is empty with a SCAN button. When clicked, no results.
