Down Machines in DTC
I applied the 9.1.84 update on Monday 11/16/2015 of last week to my DTC server. After the update I have a great number of my machines reporting as down in DTC. Also what is the acceptable time frame for machines to update their software I have a couple dozen that are alive and on the network that have yet to update. I have bounced the machine that DTC is living on in an attempt to force the machines to reestablish connection to DTC. I can ping the machines just fine and when I log onto the machines
MySQL database (5.0) will not start up
The data is held in a single large file named ibdata1, and the file seems to have grown too large. This database is held on a Windows 2003 Server. I need someone to tell me how to extract the data from the large datafile without starting the database OR extend the allowed size for the file on Windows so that I can start db. Linux agent keeps going offline
Hi, In January I deployed the Linux agent to a small server I have running Fedora 23 Server (fully updated) - it went well and I thought nothing more of it. This week I upgraded DesktopCentral to 92002 but just before I noticed that the Linux server was showing as offline and had not been scanned/contacted since January. DC service pack download site says 92003 still points at build 92002
Hi, I downloaded and installed the latest service pack last week for DC which was build 92002, but yesterday I see the page https://www.manageengine.com/products/desktop-central/service-packs.html shows build 92003. However the links all appear to still point at 92002, the download file is the same as before (the Updater refuses to accept as well), and the read-me link only shows changes up to 92002. Version Downloads
I just downloaded and installed DC on a test server so I could try it out for another company I work for. How come the version I downloaded from the 30 day trail link is version 92025 and the version I'm running in my other offices is still at 92002? The hotfix links only go up to 92004 and when I download that it looks to be just SP2 and the updater says "this version is not compaitble with your product"? We are running DC Build 92003 on Windows server 2008 R2 with MS SQL 2008 R2: I just download Build 92004. But when I try to apply it, I get this error: The ppm file that you have specified is not compatible with this product. I refreshed the download page and re-downloaded the build. Logon Failure. The target account name is incorrect
I am new to Desktop Central and in the process of adding computers. When adding some of them, I am getting the failure in the above subject line. This has happened on servers. I also get "the system cannot find the path specified" when adding WIN7 pcs. I have checked the firewall and turned it off and the systems are turned on. in the case of the subject line, I can RDP into the machine with the login credentials set in the Edit Credential button. But when trying to install the agent still resists.
reset software inventory and rescan computer
I have uninstalled some software that had different versions installed. Upon removal the software inventory still shows the older version even though it is removed. Is there a way to reset the software inventory and rescan the computer? I can remove the agent and reinstall to update and correct the inventory. That seems too cumbersome. Perhaps editing the database?
Technician administraton
We were going to add some new users to our DTC environment but wanted to limit their access. My intention was to be able to create them jobs they could push out. However it seems that the write feature gives them full access to any one area and read does not allow them to execute anything in any given area. Is there any middle ground where a user is given rights to execute but not create jobs created by an administrator?

Trying to get our external laptop users hooked in. I've got Desktop Central set-up in the manner below. Could someone tell me what settings I need to change in order to get this done? Because of the nature of our business I cannot allow direct access to the Central Server from the internet. Custom Groups crashed after License-renewal and upgrade
Applying new License File to DC with upgrading to 500 Computers crashed the handling of Custom Groups. If i'm going to manage Custom Groups /admin/customgroups and select a Group to view, DC initially shows all Group Members and the correct count of them. Exporting this to PDF generates a Document stating "No Computers managed". Even if click on a ColumnHeading to sort the shown GroupMembers, the list disappears and i get the message "No Computers managed". Going to /inventory/computers and selecting
Different Domains
So I've set up a test Desktop Central server in my DMZ. Question. I'm not allowed to have traffic requests from inside the DMZ to the inside Lan and the Domains are different. IE. When logging into a server in the DMZ I would log in with bwhitson@XXXXXDMZ.COM When logging into a server not in the DMZ I would use bwhitson@XXXXX.COM Does anyone know of a way to pull user and computer information from the inside DC to the DMZ machine?

dcappcontrol.exe crashes
We're working on pushing out the desktop agent to all of our computers. I've got one XP box that keeps throwing errors. dcappcontrol.exe - Unable to Locate Component This application has failed to start because framedyn.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem. I've tried removing and reinstalling the application. I've also tried the fix listed in Microsoft's KB 319114. Neither has resolved my issues. Issue with HTML5 viewer in Chrome/Insecure Ciphers
We're running into an issue launching the HTML5 viewer in Chrome 48, where upon launching a session we see this error: Secure Web Socket Connection (https:\\) to server failed. Please add the Server's certificate to browser's exception list. There is then an "Add Exception" button that attempts to bring up our server URL with :8081, assumingly to show the certificate and allow us to add it. This brings us to a Chrome error page stating: "This Webpage is Not Available ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH"
