I want to migrate the PostgreSQL database to SQL Server 2008 R2 on another machine. I cannot use the sa account to do so. I need to use a Windows account, and I want to use an account dedicated to Desktop Central. I need to know the minimum rights the account needs to accomplish the database migration. I also need to know if that account is then used afterwards by Desktop Central to access/write to the SQL database and the minimum rights it needs for that.

If necessary, I am ok temporarily giving the account sys admin rights to SQL to create the SQL database and migrate the data, then giving it db_owner of the Desktop Central database only and removing sys admin rights to SQL. I am not ok giving Desktop Central a sys admin account permanently.

The KB article https://www.manageengine.com/products/desktop-central/using-mssql-database-how-to.html does not discuss this.
