Software Install
I have deployed a software install to a specific system to test the abilities and is listed as ready to execute but when I go to that system there is nothing? What do I need to do to get the software to install? I hope this makes sense!
Add Users
Hiya Great software, just what i was looking for. Just one thing as i plod through it learning everything is when under "add user" in user configurations, when it executes it says "user not found" do i need to add the user to hte AD first and then modify the user with desktop central or should it be adding a user? help removing desktop central
I tried Desktop Central once then Removed it since it was a trial copy. ever since then the Desktop central folder keeps appearing on all the computers that I installed the client on. I've deleted the folders but they keep reappearing. help

Happy New Year all.... Have I missed it somewhere, Is there a way to setup another username to login? Like to allow Client to login with seperate password and if this then allows options to restrict certain areas would be even better. TIA
cant deploy patches
chaps im trialing DesktopCentral and ive setup a very small scope of 1 PC. Im trying to deploy a patch to it, but without success :-( I get right through scanning the pc and getting the patch and creating a config, but thats where it goes wrong. It just sits with 'ready to execute' on the screen. Ive restarted the pc where im trying to install the patch several time and nothing happens :-( could you enlighten me on what im missing thanks Ojo

Hello !!!! I have download and installed SP3 for Desktop Central yesterday and today I got some problem with agent installation. Now all computers client tried to upgrade from agent 4.5 to agent 5.0. There are some client have been installed successfully and some of them failed to install. There are 76 computers in my network and some of them are not in the same location. Agent services disappear after client reboot
Hi, When we push the agent files out to one of our test desktops it works great until the desktop is rebooted at which point the agent Desktop services disappear. The event log on the desktop shows the following error in the Application Log: "The Apache service named reported the following error: >>> [Date/Time] [warn] (OS 2)The system cannot find the file specified. : No installed ConfigArgs for the service "DesktopCentralAgen", using Apache defaults."

Hello, I'm wondering if there is a method that I can use to update AVG Anti-Virus. We have the AVG 7.5 Version, and people don't use to update feature. Can I use Desktop Central to update AVG on each comptuer?? Also: How do I delete Patches from Desktop Central, so my systems will appear as "Healthy" because one patch will not install on any computer! Thanks Kayle
Not Remembering Settings
I do Scan, it tells me what I need... I log out, or reset machine, and it doesn't remember the settings, I set up a Auto Scan with email settings, and save it, and next thing it has forgot, I've deleted the cookies, etc... Is there a place to delete? a cache folder? etc? Regards
OPManager - Application manager - SSL connections MS ISA
Did someone tried to run OPManager and/or Application Manager behind the Microsoft ISA - Internet Security and Acceleration Server ? This could solve the present problem of Adventnet insecure connections through Internet (clear text http sessions). Searching the Microsoft ISA documentation I understood that ISA would be able to convert the Adventnet HTTP connection to SSL connection at web browser side. password request for every window
Every time I go into desktop central from a workstation, it asks me for the password twice, then for every different window I try to go to, it asks me for the password again. it does not allow me to remote connect to another machine. I have place all the java, activex component security settings to nothing (enabled every option). Unable to Deploy a Patch
I've scaned my systems, and it has displayed all available patches, and missing patches, etc, etc So I tried to try a deployment on a patch that didn't need a reboot, so I could see it if worked, but going through all the steps to the point where it trys to deploy, and I end up with "Error Occured". I have found that because the Active X plugin is unsigned, even by setting "Custom" options in the Security of IE7's tool, I can't get the ActiveX plugin to insall, IE7 Keeps knocking t back. Is this a known problem?

Agent won't install over network.
Dear All, For the life of me, I can't get the Agent to install. It has installed on the server (as I'm guessing that is because it is local) I keep getting installation failed, I thought it was to do with the user name and password. I've changed the settings with the DCOM. I've even tried the install with ZoneAlarm switched off? Any other tips or pointers I can try, settings I can check? Regards Paul.

Workstation issuses
I setup a test server with this software to check out the features of the product. I've since removed the software from the server but now I'm finding that my workstations are still trying to report to the non existent server. I didn't install any agents from the program - I just scanned the network and had it check inventory etc. I thought simply rebooting the workstations would be enough. I don't see anything running as a process on the workstations but yet I'm seeing the traffic from the workstation
unable to open zoho sheet
Hi Central Desk, I am new here. trying to use. Some time back I created a zoho sheet and I forget my password. So opened zoho with email ID. Now that file is not opening at all. Does the file is encripted with my password also ? in that case I can never open my file. Further in future also I cannot change my passwords. Is that a bug or what ? how to retrieve such file. chaps just been playing with desktop central and set the scope up and pointed it to a small OU with 2 computers in. Then right at the end when its trying to install the agen is get a yellow screen with error 1004 at the top. The screen tells me to try again. :-( All passwords are correct - wonder if you could throw some light on this for me thanks

Hello, We tested during several weeks the HelpDesk+ software like Desktop Central on our network. The phase of test thus finished we removed this software of our servers. Unfortunately, on each one of our computers customers, there is a file �Desktop Central� as well as the DesktopCentral services which turn. It keeps saying that the name is invalid, and my OU is invalid!! They are correct, but it won't recognize it.
