Remote Control - viewing user's desktop - image quality blurry
Hello everyone, I recently noticed that when I use the remote control tool to connect to a user's desktop the video quality is kind of blurry. I can't exactly say when this started and I haven't changed any settings - only installed DC updates. I was looking for settings/ways to improve the video quality and bring it back to where it was before. In some cases it is extremely hard for me to see fonts on the users desktop due to the blurriness. Thank you in advance for any feedback that would help
DC alert: ports are blocked by windows firewall after 10.0.555 update
Hi, Desktop Central console (scope of management, computers) brings up an alert: "Ports that are used for the agent-server communication are being blocked by windows firewall" with an "unsafe" link "Unblock now" (javascipt). This happended after upgrading to version 10.0.555. I have a bunch of open ports incoming. And there is no problem with the agents (updating, patching, inventory or remote access) communicating. Software inventory metrics inconsistent
I'm running into a problem that is making license management difficult. The software details pages list one number of installations for managed installations, but a completely different number of actual installations. I've attached three examples below. The first is Snagit 13.0.1.6326, which reports 4 total installations, but only lists one computer. The second is Backup and Sync from Google 3.49.9760.2421, which reports 1 installation, but lists no computers. The third is a software group I created
Update 10.0.516 OS Deployment Name Change Error
Since updating to version 10.0.516 on Monday the 27th we can no longer change the target computer name during deployment. We receive the error: Failed - The specified username is invalid. We have updated the deployment media and issue occurs with new test media images and previously functioning image templates both. Is anyone else seeing this behavior and have you located a solution? Secure Gateway Download Requires a Version of Desktop Central Not available
Not sure if I'm missing something but we've had a problem with not being able to patch Roaming computers (over the internet) ever since we moved to the Forward Server, which I now believe is called Secure Gateway. After trying to spend some time troubleshooting the issue I decided to download the latest version of Security Gateway and reinstall it on the server dedicated to it in our DMZ. The latest version to download says it requires Desktop Central Version 10.0.391 and above (https://www.manageengine.com/products/desktop-central/forwarding-server-download.html)
Problem Installing Hotfix - Process stalls when selecting "Browse"
Hi all, Is anyone else having an issue where the process of installing the latest hotfix stops completely (screen disappears) when "Browse" is selected to find the hotfix file? I have a requirement to export a csv report with the following fields Computer Name Service Tag IP Address Operating System Service Pack Build Last Boot Time Last Scan Time Shipping Date Warranty Expiry Date Agent Version Last Successful Scan Within reports I have the option to select all but Build. I know this is recorded as within Inventory I have dc.common.BUILD_NO but it's not an option within custom reports. any ideas. Also is it possible to add to this report 'Agent Status'? Stephen Fowles

Bug: Registering Agents when over Licenses
We have version 92119. Last week we installed agents on 3 PC's. However we reached our licence limit so these devices never showed in the console. After we applied more licences, the PC's still did not show in the console, even after several reboots. We were able to install agents on other PC's and the came up in the console. The only way we could get the 3 PC's to show in the console was to repair the agent install. To summarise - agents will not register if you install when over your licence limit,
I can deploy Internet Explorer 11 to computers that have IE8 or IE9 installed, but am receiving Unknown Error Code 40024 if the computer has IE10 installed. Any ideas?

Our organization is testing whether or not our clients are ready for upgrades to Windows 10. As we use Desktop Central on our servers with the agent on the machines, we want to make sure that future machines with Windows 10 are supported. If not, is there any rough time frame of official compatibility?
Scope of management OU synchronization problem
I am running Desktop Central v90033. I have configured SoM to scan Active Directory for new machines every morning and automatically install the agent. I have noticed that SoM is finding computers that are not in an OU that I have specifically included in the configuration. If I select a parent OU in SoM, is that supposed to find machines in any of the OUs beneath it? If not, this appears to be a bug in the software.
How Do I create A Scheduled Report For MDM?
I want to run a scheduled report for "devices with/without a specifc app," but I only see that option for manual reports. When I try to schedule a report, that option isn't there. I tried making it a custom report, but that only gives me options for desktops and NOT MDM. Please help.
