Roaming WAN Agents - how do they update distribution server information?
Can someone please clarify for me how it is that a WAN agent changes the distribution server it receives content from? From the documentation it states in a few places that the Agent will be installed from the Distribution server if it senses an IP Subnet change? what I am understanding from that is that the DC Agent gets fully installed at each different location the user visits? Or does the agent just update some configuration files that contain the new Distribution server settings? My
Warranty/Shipping Details not populating
The vast majority of the assets in my site are not populating with the shipping or warranty expiry date, despite having the appropriate service tag loaded in. It has a mix between mostly Lenovo, Dell, and HP PCs. The odd thing is that it DID load for some of the Lenovo and Dell PCs. Please help! Having this load properly would help tremendously in our lifecycle management process.

A user in our business has reported that every word doc he has gives the same error when he tries to open, some docs are over 4 years old, some are only a week old. mySQL data calls for third party applications
We have multiple reports set up to auto generate a wide array of data points. The issue we have is, that even though it works it is spamming the heck out of people. Also we require multiple reports to build a data point that we are looking for. Its simply data overload and at that point the data can be overlooked or ignored by the end user. any plans to change how Script deployment is handled?
Currently a connection of some sort is required to deploy certain types of scrips using DTC. This could be a logged in user or a active RDP session. In an environment ruled by end user desktop/laptops that seems fine however in an environment comprised of only servers where there should be minimal direct log ins that makes that particular module rather useless. I'm trying to get Desktop Central to set a User Path Environment Variable based on the current log on server. IE Variable = LogonServer Value = CURRENTDOMAINCONTROLLER Where CURRENTDOMAINCONTROLLER is equal to the Domain Controller that last processes their log on request. First background on my set up. I'm the sole Desktop Admin for a company with right at 800 Machines. 9 out 10 of those are Desktops. Little over 200 reside in my local building. Hi, I Would like to edit multiple configurations at one time. For example: I have Adobe Flash Player 19 ActiveX 19.0.0.185 used in the configuration "basic laptop" and the configuration "presentation PC" When Adobe releases a new Adobe version i would like to change all configurations which includes Adobe Flash Player 19 ActiveX 19.0.0.185 and replace it with the newer version. There is this setting in deployment policies: Download Patches/Software during subsequent Refresh Cycle How this should work? When I configure this with software deployment it it never downloads anything before the actual deployment starts.

What does your deployment policy look like?
I am in my third round of testing and figuring out how to make use of Desktop Central for Patch Management (MS and Third Party). I'm interested in hearing what you have done as far as creating a reasonable deployment policy for your users, as I'm having trouble choosing the when and how! I'd like to just have one and communicate how it works to my users, but will of course have multiples if it cannot be avoided. I am in a 9-5 office environment and computers may or may not be turned on overnight.

Trying to get our external laptop users hooked in. I've got Desktop Central set-up in the manner below. Could someone tell me what settings I need to change in order to get this done? Because of the nature of our business I cannot allow direct access to the Central Server from the internet. Custom Groups crashed after License-renewal and upgrade
Applying new License File to DC with upgrading to 500 Computers crashed the handling of Custom Groups. If i'm going to manage Custom Groups /admin/customgroups and select a Group to view, DC initially shows all Group Members and the correct count of them. Exporting this to PDF generates a Document stating "No Computers managed". Even if click on a ColumnHeading to sort the shown GroupMembers, the list disappears and i get the message "No Computers managed". Going to /inventory/computers and selecting
Different Domains
So I've set up a test Desktop Central server in my DMZ. Question. I'm not allowed to have traffic requests from inside the DMZ to the inside Lan and the Domains are different. IE. When logging into a server in the DMZ I would log in with bwhitson@XXXXXDMZ.COM When logging into a server not in the DMZ I would use bwhitson@XXXXX.COM Does anyone know of a way to pull user and computer information from the inside DC to the DMZ machine?
Java i586 patch not applicable to 64-bit OSes
My users use 32-bit browsers (Internet Explorer and Firefox) on their Windows 7 Pro 64-bit operating systems. The patch named "jre-8u65-windows-i586.exe" (Bulletin ID TU-053) returns that it is not applicable to this OS. My users need the 32-bit Java patch for their 32-bit browsers. Is there a way to override the applicability to an OS?

DCConfiguration File Operation (Upload) via HTTP fails with error
During a "File Folder Operation", copy, in a configuration/collection we get error "Error while copying files : The process is not in background processing mode." We have tried multiple paths and with and without ZIP with the same message. We cannot get HTTP to upload a very tiny file to the PC via this collection. I have uploaded/sent the client logs referencing this forum post.

Blank reports (console and sent by mail)
Hello, Desktop Central with remote MS SQL, everything is OK (AD sync, agent deployment, inventory report, patch management...) but I don't have reports in console, I can configure schedule reports but are sent without data (header and footer OK). dcappcontrol.exe crashes
We're working on pushing out the desktop agent to all of our computers. I've got one XP box that keeps throwing errors. dcappcontrol.exe - Unable to Locate Component This application has failed to start because framedyn.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem. I've tried removing and reinstalling the application. I've also tried the fix listed in Microsoft's KB 319114. Neither has resolved my issues. ME MDM app Distribution for Windows Phones
Hi, I have about a hundred Windows mobile phones already enrolled of Desktop Central MDM. I am trying to now distribute the ME MDM app to them, I have created the AET certificate and downloaded and signed the ME MDM app. I want the distribution to be as silent as possible for the users, In the ME MDM App Distribution window, would selecting "Install Automatically" result in a silent install and not require any user intervention? Is there a way to distribute the App to a group of test devices first?

1. Is there a way to customise the Vulnerable System Report to filter on approved patches only? 2. What is the best way to get a view for each system of how many and which approved patches have been installed and how many/which patches are missing?
Issue with Patch Summary
Why does the patch deployment report show failed clients when all the patches have been deployed? Is this a system bug of some sort? When I click on the individual machine it shows no additional patches to be deployed. See Attached Picture

Issue with HTML5 viewer in Chrome/Insecure Ciphers
We're running into an issue launching the HTML5 viewer in Chrome 48, where upon launching a session we see this error: Secure Web Socket Connection (https:\\) to server failed. Please add the Server's certificate to browser's exception list. There is then an "Add Exception" button that attempts to bring up our server URL with :8081, assumingly to show the certificate and allow us to add it. This brings us to a Chrome error page stating: "This Webpage is Not Available ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH"
Scheduled Inventory scan not working on 90199
Ever since upgrading to 91099, my scheduled Inventory asset scan has not worked (over the last week or more..) I have 4 different domain groups and the results for all 4 are 'Not Scanned'. I can run a manual scan that works. When I first go to the Inventory tab, there is a banner up top saying the "Inventory Summary Reports are not up-to-date". When I generate the new report, the last scan dates are still from when I've done the last manual scan. Has anyone else seen this? Any fix? Thx.

Adobe acrobat X and XI updates missing Affected Products information
As you can see below there is no version information for any of the Affected Products. This one pictured is for Acrobat X and the same also shows when I look at Acrobat XI. Just with Acrobat X, I should have 151 computers getting the update. Trying to setup a scheduled report for active users but it does not give us all the users in our domain. We have around 1000 people in out domain but it come back with about 30 people. Is there some kind of setting I'm not seeing?
