DC Patch database update
Is there anyway I can have the DC server update its patch database immediately (now) instead of scheduling a date/time?

hello, I got this error when downloading a patch Patch : 101894 successfully downloaded but check sum validation failed.Ensure that Proxy/Firewall configuration does not restrict downloads from the domain http://download.microsoft.com. this is the only patch that failed to download and I can get to the site with with out error
Issue with SelfServicePortal

Custom Script in Version 91122
Hi, after updating to the newest version (91122) it is not possible to select a computer or computer group for a custom script. The choice of type for the target is greyed out and limited to Remote Office or Domain (see screenshot). I am using firefox (newest version) with windows 10. Any ideas? Thanks, Juergen
Patch Automation Issues
So we've been using desktop central for patch deployment for a couple months now, and everything works manually. We tried setting up some automated tasks to scan, download, and deploy last weekend, and unfortunately had very little success. I have a few questions if anyone can answer. A brief description We had 3 scheduled patch scan/download/deploy tasks set to go off Saturday morning for different custom groups. KB2644615 wsus vs DC
I see a lot of patches that WSUS says are not applicable, but Desktop Central shows them as needed. For instance KB2644615 When I look on WSUS it shows it set to approved / install, but lists it as Not Applicable. (this is for Server 2008 R2 w/SP1) Desktop Central shows it as missing. When I look at MS12-001 https://technet.microsoft.com/library/security/ms12-001 it looks to me like it applies to the OS, but since I don't have MS Visual C++ .Net 2003 installed on the server I shouldn't need it. Restore top tabs
I am demoing ServiceDeskPlus and successfully integrated it to DesktopCentral. However, it took away the top tabs in DC. I removed the integration but the tabs have not been restored. How do I bring them back?
Need Some Help Deploying a Specific Update
Hello all! I am having a bit of an issue and I am at my wits end with it. I am not sure if my problem is being caused by ManageEngine or if it is being caused by the program that I am trying to update. Anyway, here is the issue. Where I work we have a specific program that we are trying to upgrade. The program has a .exe file by the name of "Upgrade". New define target
I noticed that in build 91120 you have changed how the define target works. While I like that it does not default to the first remote office now, it would be helpful if under apply to specific target that it would default to computer and not custom group. Or have the option to set what default I need.

How to tell Setup to prompt for a reboot?
Hello, I was wondering how I can prompt for a reboot via Desktop Central after Software Deployment or any other steps? Server wont start after upgrade to 91112
I performed an update to 91112 and then it was for every 'Starting' a few reboot didn't resolve. uninstalled, reinstalled old version 90170 and restored backup. now doesn't start as 'Previous Patch not applied properly' shouldn't the Backup not had this flag set before it performed a Backup? Time incorrect
Hi The time on our DC9 server is exactly 12 hours behind. So times are reading AM instead of PM and vice versa I've been through the steps found in a previous post : https://forums.manageengine.com/topic/time-incorrect-in-desktop-central Running the jar file shows timezones match on each change\restart of the service , but still time stamps in the server console are 12 hours out. Pre-Deployment Custom Script Question
I have a configuration setup to run a script (.vbs file) and then install an application if the script is successful and the exit code is 0. However, if the script fails and the exit code is not 0 the deployment assumes that it failed when really I want it to consider that the installation is not necessary and to skip deployment and report it as such. Is there any way to do this currently? If not, I would like to suggest that there be an option to change "Proceed if exit code is ___" to "Skip installation
Office 2007 Security update MS15-099
I'm relatively new to Desktop Central, but I found that this security update for Office 2007 seems to be missing from the database, either that or I'm looking in the wrong place, One way or another when I run Windows update on my Windows 7 machine it is reported as being needed, but DT Central sees my machine as up-to-date. Software uninstall Messages by the hundreds for a single machine
Hi, I have seen this more often recently: When a Mac Workstation hasn´t been started for a few days and is being started again, DC bombards me with literally hundreds of mails for uninstalled Software. A) the Software still remains where it was (e.g. Parallels Mounter v9.0) B) the Version of the Software has not changed (e.g. Parallels Mounter v9.0 is claimed to be uninstalled, however the same version from 2014 is still in it´s place) can you give me a hint as to what my configuration is doing wrong

How to determine if a specific configuration has been applied to specific computer
Currently the only way to see which configurations have been applied to a specific PC is to look at the Execution Status for each Configuration. I would like know if there is a way to look (from the user and/or PC perspective) what has been applied for that PC/user)
Way to report on successful WoL and Shutdown requests in a report
We need to be able to show to auditors that our PC's are shutting down at night. Is there a way in report form to show which PC's shut down successfully due to a shutdown request from DC, vs those that didn't shut down?
Would like to group Configurations into folders or a folder hierarchy
All of the configurations are now bunched together in a big list. I would like to be able to graphically group them to categorize those that I apply to all PC's vs those I use on occasion for specific settings on specific groups.

Hello there, we have configured our Desktop Central and Service Desk Plus servers as described on page https://www.manageengine.com/products/desktop-central/help/configuring_desktop_central/dc_sdp_integration.html The connection test in SD runs successfully and does not report errors. Nevertheless, no asset data is posted from DC to SD, or at least no asset data is updated on the SD side. We are running SD build 9118 and DC build 91099. Any idea of what is going wrong? Is it possible to have certain popup notifications created for the following: 1. Alert during day to inform user to leave there PC on so maintenance can be performed after hours. 2. Microsoft Update KB3114409
Good Morning, There was a problem with the update for Microsoft Outlook 2010 which you are probably aware of by now. Outlook will only open in Safe Mode and I am getting hounded by the end users. Is there a fix or another update that will be sent to correct the problem? I also did a search for the update to uninstall it and I am not able to find it. Ed
Re-Create CSR
Hey guys, So we're planning on testing MDM (just bought the license for it) to manage our mobile ios devices. Problem is when we generated our CSR, we used a corporate email like suggested, it happened to be the same one that also generates helpdesk tickets in servicedesk plus (woops). So our helpdesk and desktop centrals automated messages were in an infinite loop briefly generating tickets for each other after the creation email. Obviously don't want this to happen again, I've disabled notifications

Patch Management: DesktopCentral VS other tools
To other desktop central users - how do you find DesktopCentral's patch support? To me, it seems to be missing a lot of patches - not only Office 2016 but others as well. This morning I updated Desktop Central and did a scan on my computer. It identifies two patches needed. I then scanned with a different tool, and found 66 patches needed. While it is worth noting that many of these are Office 2016, there are many which are not. For reference, I then scanned with Windows Update, which found 30 updates,
