I had put in a suggestion on adding this functionality of seeing what custom groups a box belongs to but as of yet it has not materialized. So what is everyone else doing or what could the devs suggest to tackle this problem.

In our enviorment we have multiple domains with dozens of patching windows with dev, Qa, Prod, different patch cycles depending on clustered resources so we literally have dozens of patch cycles and patch jobs and dozens more custom groups to incorporate other jobs for software deployment.

With the influx and decommission of machines on a almost daily basis how do others keep track of their custom groups to make sure everything is getting patched on the correct schedules and nothing is getting left behind?

It just seems our patch admins are spending a tremendous amount of time sorting and organizing our patching schedules to insure that servers are included in pre-scheduled patch jobs.

Just curious how others are handling that challenge.
