Scheduled WoL/Shutdown - Dynamic Groups?
I do not have the option to apply scheduled shutdown/WoL jobs to dynamic groups. Only static groups. Is this an issue for me or by design? the impact of this is that we have to manually add computers to the scheduled WoL/Shutdown jobs as they join the network, this is a real pain with hundreds of PC's.

DC Patch update not syncing with Server Store
Hi, I have Desktop Central Build No:92038 where I used to deploy Windows and Software updates through DC console to our workstations and Servers, and everything was fine till April 2017 but since then all of sudden patches are not being synchronized with Desktop Central whereas Data Store has all updated patches till today are present. Any idea please what went wrong??
Has anyone been able to use the new System Manager features?
We have upgraded to DC 10 and are excited to use Remote Command Line and Remote Event Viewer, but neither of these tools are working for any computer in our network. The event viewer does not load, and the command prompt accepts a command but then stalls. Do we need to open any additional ports for these features? Thanks
System Vulnerability Report for Servers
I am looking to build a custom report similar to the vulnerability report to include the graph but I would like to have it filters to show only items that begin with Windows Server for the operating system. If the report is a SQL query I can put it in Analytics and generate the graphs that way.
patch 22973 "SQL2014 SP2 GDR Update" keeps want to install even though our SQL is higher version
why DC keeps pushing patch that is not meant for the version of SQL2014.. when manually installing we are getting notification that our version is patched. "The SQL Server patch package is part of a general distribution release (GDR). This package cannot be applied since this SQL Server feature has already been patched. To continue, you must install higher version of the SQL Server Patch.
Changing notification port
After changing the Notification Server Port ( Admin > Server Settings ) how do I update the agents to use the new port? Running the agent troubleshooter shows that it is still using the default port (8027)? I'm trying to change the port because DirectAccess reserves 6000-40000 and I think it is interfering with the connection.

"MDM" for laptops and desktops
We use Desktop Central, and Desktop Central MSP, but I recall there being no geolocation or remote wipe capabilities for laptops or desktops. MDM does offer this, but it is only for tablets and phones. So my question is - is there a geolocation and remote wipe feature for laptops or desktops? If not, is there a plan to add such a feature in the future? Launch Apps from Self Service Portal
It would be nice if users could launch apps from the Self Service Portal. The button could Install (then Run) if required, or Run if already installed. In the package page, there could also then be a Launch tab as well as Installation and Uninstallation.
Inconsistent in License Key for Software Excel 2010
Hi Support, We already been informed that license key for Microsoft Products are encrypted into only the last key provided in the system. But we encountered another problem with Microsoft 2010 product, take example Excel 2010. The license key provided by Desktop Central Agent in the SDP system are various with complete license key and also partial one (encrypted). Screenshot attached. Deploying MS Office 2013, received the message "Either you haven't provided the silent switches or the silent switches are incorrect" on 4 out of the 30 computers in the distribution. The other 26 installed the same package without a problem.
Optional "Critical" Updates??
Have a look at this Optional MS updates do not have the same granularity as security updates I want critical updates to be automatically deployed. I don't want to automatically deploy unrated optional updates. It would make the most sense to have each category of updates have the same granularity as "Security" updates. Does an optional "critical" update even make sense? Thanks!
How do I show all Users under System
How can I get all user profiles that exist on a computer listed somewhere in DC? The list under System only shows local accounts and whoever is currently logged on. I am trying to figure out how to get a list of all profiles on the machine. I though we used to be able to see that under the System tab. Thanks!

Filters values are not in alphabetical order
When creating filters for patches (this is the only place ive tested so far) the value pull-down area when selected shows all the applications but are not in alphabetical order.. This makes it extremely difficult to find your application if you have thousands of applications.. Please advise..
Software NOT installed report on specific computers (dynamic groups)
I am attempting to verify if a group of computers does NOT have a specific application installed. I would like to accomplish this with a weekly report. I was able to find the report "Computers with/without a specific Software" but I do not see an option to use dynamic groups. Is there another way of accomplishing this that I am not seeing? Hi I asked it already before and I'm going to do it again here because it's quite important for me, and undoubtedly other customers too, that I have a way to be efficiently notified about new updates for Desktop Central. Neither the software, neither by mail, neither by any other way we can be notified about new releases, which sometimes contain important security updates too. I'd rather not want a newsletter subscription as a solution, which will only increase the amount of unwanted mail in my mailbox.

How do you manage windows defender updates with DC?
dcagenttrayicon.exe has stopped responding
This has happened to a few of our users and we can not determine the cause. Agent version 9.2.112.W DC build 92113 It does not appear to be network-related. The agent troubleshooter does not show any errors, but does advise adding the agent to antivirus exception lists. However, I have not seen any warnings from our antivirus software when the agent crashes. I have run SFC to check the faulting module "ntdll.dll" but it passed the integrity check. This error appears in the event viewer: Faulting
Configuration Deployment Status
It would be fantastic if a feature could be added so that in the configuration summary/execution status window a new state could be added and additional information. As it stands now, when I deploy a configuration there is no middle ground between "ready to execute" and "executed". There is no way for me to know that the DC agent on the target computer has received the configuration instructions and is processing the configuration. It would be great if the configuration summary page would show that
MDM users vs devices
I thought there was a way that you can assign users to profiles in MDM rather than just devices. I just created a new profile and I can only add devices. So if that person gets a new device, it will have to be added to each profile. Is there a way to add the users, rather than devices as this could become a very big administrative nightmare.

After logging in, just a blank page
First, I'm unsure what version I'm using. I know it's 10 - but I don't know the exact version #. The problem I have: After I log in, the webpage is just blank and leaves me at the URL: http://localhost:8020/upgradeLicense.do?actionToCall=loadDetails&showInline=true Not much I can do here. Just a blank page. I've logged in using IE, Chrome, Firefox. Cleared my cache. Even downloaded Opera and tried that. Nothing but a big blank page. Any suggestions on what I can do here, aside from uninstalling/re-installing?
Remote Control to RDP-Sessions doesn't work properly
Hi there, our remote control seems not to work with RDP-Sessions. We are able to select one of the logged-in-users on the computer, but the initiated remote session shows always the console sessions (the locked admin screen). The Chat feature instead works fine. Desktop Central MSP Public FQDN no NAT Local DNS Pointer
Do I have to use a NAT on my firewall for Desktop Central MSP. I have ServiceDesk Plus MSP setup on the same server as my Desktop Central MSP " Just Setup Testing". I have a Public FQDM for both and both are setup on the public DNS. SDP.mydomain.net DTC.mydomain.net. I have setup my local DNS to point SDP & DTC to local server address " 192.#.#.#". From a public computer, I can access SDP using Http://SDP.mydomain.net:8070 and everything works great.. But from the same public computer if I use Http://DTC.mydomain.net:8040 I
SDP update after DC scan
We have Desktop Central and Service Desk Plus integrated with each other. I checked the integrated workflow and it says asset scan post immediately to SDP. I was able to confirm this but one of the problems I noticed was that it doesn't update the OS on the machine. With the integration if something like an OS changes is it suppose to update the OS version showing in SDP? If so, how do I fix it? I worry that if I make other updates to my workstations (i.e. hardware upgrades) that it won't show
Every uninstall fails but uninstalls?
Hi, We have just moved our DTC server and reinstalled from scratch with a fresh database and everything seems to working fine apart from uninstalling packages. Everything i push out to install installs fine which is great. The problem is whenever i run an uninstall on a package i installed through DTC it starts the process and then ends up with retry in progress. Wake on LAN
How can I go about properly using the wake on LAN feature in desktop central? I have enabled wake on magic packet in my NIC properties on my PC and also enabled it in the BIOS of my test machine. When I go to wake a PC from a powered off state via Desktop Central it does nothing. Am I missing something here? Thanks
Blank page after logging in
I'm using Desktop Central Server 10 - but I don't know what service pack or update I'm on. On the login screen, it just says a new hot fix is available to build 10.0.111. When I log in, I just get a blank page. It takes me to this URL: http://localhost:8020/upgradeLicense.do?actionToCall=loadDetails&showInline=true Nothing to see though. Just a big ol' white screen, totally blank. Does any know how to fix this? I need to get into this software so I can do some work and start working on migrating
