Hi, We want to update the user name and password for the DB Query monitors in Bulk Configurations, as we will have about 100 DB Query monitors, and we need change the password every month. We have Internal URL's which uses AD user authentication for logging in, when we try to configure the URL's montior we couldnt able to motior the same. Email reports exception occurs
Applications Manager 9 (Build 9005) I need help...I am having issues sending reports via email. My alerts work fine so the actions are correct as well as the mail server setup. I select my report and click the email button > Email Report > To Address (selecting the email address action address). Click the send button and I get "Mail sent successfully" but nothing in my Inbox or Junk folders. Service fails to start after boot
Hi, I have eventlog analyzer and application manager running on their own database. The applications work fine but the service for application manager fails to start. Is there any dependency that I need to configure so that the service can start normally? I can't have an application manager service that fails to read performance information from other servers...

Application manager not start on reboot.
Hi, Im running AppManager 9.9005 and have some issue. When the server reboots, i need logon a run startApplicationsManager.bat file to start monitoring. I'm working with Windows 2003 R2 SP2 and "Manager Application Manager" service are Automatic state and running. Thanks.

Application Manager 9.10 windows to linux
Hi, I download application manager 9.10 and I am been probing this version for windows. I have configured my entire network, and now I would like to probe the linux version (linux plataform). I already install the same version in a linux machine. I try to make a backup in the windows machine, and then restore data in the linux machine but doesn´t work. How can I do this? It´s posible? AppManager Keeps Asking for Login
Almost anytime I select a report or make a configuration change in AppManager, it goes back to the login screen and I have to login again. Is there something I can do to fix this?

Hi .. We use application manager as a reporting tool and also to find the performance related issues in weblogic integration servers ( Clustered enviroment ) In the ManageEngine Application Mgnr 8, I have the default monitors which says about the health statistics etc for each managed server in the cluster. When I select the reports tab in the application, then select the proper monitor ( managed server here in select box ) i get all the statistics regarding that managed server...i.e Summary Report

Server Status on a web page
Hello, is it possible to create a pop up on a page, which will take server status from application manager?is there a plugin for this or any possibility how to do that? I need to monitor few servers so the users can check intra-net page and see if the servers are up and running. We use in our company Application manager so would be great to implement it this way. Adding Thresholds To Multiple Script Monitors
I'm attempting to add thresholds to a group of script monitors I have in bulk. My process for doing so has been to go into one of the individual monitors then to "configure alarms" for the given attribute, then checking the box to "apply to selected monitors" and selecting those that apply. The threshold configuration appears to hold on the individual monitor but ignores all others that I had selected to apply to as well. There are approximately 65 monitors in total to which I am attempting to apply

appmanager truncating hostnames
We are running applications manager 8.6 (latest build). We experience the following problem: When adding a new remote host (eg. during the addition of a script monitor), if you enter a hostname that is (presumably) too long, it truncates the hostname - so thisisalongh.ostnamefor.com became "thisisalongh.ostnamefor.c".
Windows Mount Points
Is it still not possible to monitor disk space usage on Windows mount points? We have had to switch to mount points as we are out of drive letters on a file server and AppManager does not see the mount points. If it is possible, please let me know how to do it. Thank you!

I had to move one of my managed app manager installs to a new server due to a hardware crash. I installed the program, copied a backup of the AMDB folder & ran repairdb.bat, but the service won't stay started. Is there something else I need to do?

Data not recorded in Script Monitor
Hi I now have lost 3 days of data on one of my script monitors. The output file is refreshed correctly with new data every time the monitor is run, but in Application Manager, only -NA- is displayed. And in last 7 days, the latest data is 3 days old. Help appreciated.
SQL Server 2005 install
Had to manually create a couple tables: AM_SearchKeywordsColumnsMapper and AM_SearchResultsHandler. I'm guessing that SQL server has case sensitive column names, so have capitalized installer has: create table AM_SearchResultsHandler ( ID BIGINT NOT NULL, ... had to change to: create table AM_SearchResultsHandler ( id BIGINT NOT NULL, ... After that, the stderr.log file fills up with a bunch of invalid column names, and all the services stop. I'm switching to trying a MySQL install instead.
App Manager Disk Utilization Error
We keep getting the following critical alert on windows 2003 servers: The disk partition DiskUtilization-D: is removed.Kindly delete it using 'Delete Removed Disk' When we log into the server there are no errors in the event logs and the partitions are 100% fine. SAP CCMS add-on: attribute name not reporting the complete ccms path
Hello, I've noticed that AppManager doesn't report the complete path for an attribute. For example (look at the attachment) I have in my CCMS tree several "Free space" attributes for each Oracle tablespace. The "Monitor Information" area display a generic "Free space" attribute in alarm, not the complete path. As I've set an email reaction to the alarm in order to inform administrators about the problem, they only receive a generic "Free space" problem. Is there a workaround to this problem or a

Hi, I have a situation with a Solaris system running snmp. The snmpd daemon was stopped like 15 days ago but for some reason AppManager was aware of it but did not tell or report anything wrong in the application. Better yet, it keeps telling that that server was up and running but there was no data from it. This is the only msg that gives when I poll manually from website: SNMP Agent is not running in the System . Kindly start the SNMP Agent for Monitoring. And so, I still have like an old

After adding a new monitor for Websphere Application Server we get basic information like Health and Availability, but no furthe details like "JVM memory usage" or "Thread pool details". The level for PMI Monitoring on the WAS is set to "All" but in Application Manasger we get the message "There is no data available for Thread Pool Details" etc. What could be the reason? Thanks!
Problem after upgrading to version 9 - URL monitoring
1)I upgrade AppManager from 8.5 to 9 and the backup script for the database forces a shutdown to mysql !! 2) I want to monitor a URL of an internal Web Site which has integrated authentication with AD When I recorded the scenario I was asked for userid& password and if I provide valid username the recording proceeds but after the installation the monitor is always down. Threshold Message Bug
Hi guys, recently I found a bug when I try to modify the default messages for the severity of a threshold. The problem has to do with the character : ' because if I write the following message: The ping action carried out to test the StartTeam's server availability has failed. Probably it indicates a server unavailability so we suggest to do a manual connection test to verify this behavior. The application it doesn't save the message and the log file shows the following exception: 27 Jan 2010 16:51:41:640
Is the Availability view on home tab reporting incorrectly?
I have two monitor groups set up in Application Manager 9, each of which has 3 url monitors within them. At one point, for about a minute, the server that App Manager is installed on lost connectivity to the internet and those monitors were shown as "down" for about 2 mins. I went in to the individual monitors and deleted the episodes of downtime but at the dashboard level the availability for today is still showing as 99.71. Is this wrong?

Hello, I try to monitor the login page of a clearquest web server. (view source in login.txt file) The Clearquest web server responds as well normally and works fine. When I configure the monitoring with or without match content (Please enter your) and the default settings, I receive an error message: "The server has not found anything matching the requested-URI" error 404 I guess and the health and availability are red. Problems adding perofrmance monitor - Monitor not available
Hi, i tried to add performance monitors of one of our servers but unfortunately AM9 only displays a small subset of available performance objects. Is there a way to add e.g. "CALeqm Blackbox Simulator Service" by myself? Why is this object not displayed in the performance classes? Kind regards Florian Arth
