Is there a way to select specific users?
Instead of picking only OU's, can I select or decline certain users from using the tool? All of our users are in one giant OU, and there are some I would like to exclude.
ADSelfService: trying to send any email generates "Invalid Email-ID" message.
What IS and "Email-ID"? Why do I get this error? I've tried sending a test email from the configuration screens, as well as sending out enrollment notification emails, and I get this error on every attempt.
Disabled User - Are they automatically added to the Restricted Users list?
A user account was temporarily disabled, since the user was on leave for a few months. It appears the user account was then automatically added to the Restricted Users list. I do not recall enabling such a setting. Is there a way to modify this setting? The user must enroll again, when this happens. Would someone explain this behavior? Thanks in advance
Display issues with employee search
I still have display issues with self service plus when doing an employee search (and subsequent result sets). Custom attributes - I have created a custom attribute " extensionAttribute3" and given it a name of Salutation. It updates properly through SelfService and can be seen in AD (through ADManager Plus) However creating a search (through employee search) with the field "Salutation" which is in the pick list does not display anything - as if the field is blank. Hi, I am wondering where the photo is stored in AD when a user uploads one in ADSelfservicePlus? Adding the photo into ADSS does not seem to put in the "thumbnailPhoto" attribute in AD. This would be the sensible place as all the other MS products look for a photo there..??? Duplicate credentials dialogue box since installing gina

Hi, Is there a way to remove the Employee Search from the front page? I am planning on hosting ADSelfService Plus in our DMZ with access from the internet to allow our VPN users to use it. I don't want a search tool available on it when it is visible to the general public.

Only one user cannot login
Hello, I just have one user that cannot login to the portal. I have reset her password, completely uninstalled ADSS and reinstalled clean.
Gina on Windows 7
I'm doing some testing to try the Password Reset part of the ADSelfService, I've installed it - configured it for our domain, selected a Workstation, done a Gina/CP Install for the PC which it said it worked on, but when I rebooted the PC I don't see anything on the login screen for forgotten/resetting passwords. Does this work on Windows 7? Thanks
iPSCA CERTS?
Hi, I have purchased an SSL Cert from iPSCA and ADSelfService only gives the import commands for a few online CA's - verisign, Go-Daddy and Comodo. Could somebody supply the commands for iPSCA certs? Cheers
Internet Explorer: Unable to link to page you requested
Hi there, One user is getting an Internet Explorer message every time when trying to change his password: Unable to link to page you requested. This happens after he chooses a new password, enters the CAPTCHA and hits continue. I have had this happen to me intermittently too, in various different areas of the product, when trying to recreate the problem. We use IE7, this is part of the corporate image. I have the same issue when testing in Firefox. Please advise - thanks!
Problem with results from Employee Search
Employee search does not work properly in AD Self Service plus. I search for a name and it say - Search results - 11 records found for mark But only 1 instance is displayed (sometime none). Also some of the fields are showing nothing unless I view the employee via the organisation chart, then there is data in the attribute fields. It is very strange but very annoying. I am trying desperately to get this product to work.!

Email aknowledgement for enrollment
Hi, Is it possible within ADSelfservice Plus to automatically send out an email when a customer has successfully enrolled? I can find lots of useful acknowledgement and notification emails which can be set to automatically request enrollment, password resets, warnings of password expirations etc but nothing sent out when enrollment is successfully completed - we'd like to use this to send out additional information about the system once the user has enrolled. Reset password sends verification password
Hi. I want to know why when I reset my password ADselfservice sends me an a mail with a new pass?? What happens if I forgot my password and I have no access to may email?? Can I use this password to acces my email or its temporary to access ADselfservice and change my password?? How can I deactivate this feature?? Unable to reset password - fails for all users
The Unlock your Account feature works beautifully, but none of our users are able to use the Password Reset feature. User receives the following error after attempting to reset their password. "Reset Password Failed - 1. The new password you chose failed to meet any or all of the standards set by your administrator (as given below): 2. Minimum Password Age: If this is set, you cannot change password for a specified time." Here's a sample scenario. Bob is an enrolled user and forgets his password.

Variable for 'days remaining' in notification?
We've inadvertently changed the default message on our AD Self Service Plus "password expiry notification" email, removing the variable that was in there for 'days remaining'. We'd like to get it back. Could you post back here with what the variable you use for this item is? We want it to say "Your password will expire in xx days" where xx is the number of days left before expiry. I've tried %days% just as a guess but that simply puts the username in there instead...not sure why. Thanks

Encountering Error Message in user accounts reset password session
I installed already the demo version and already enrolled some domain users but when I try to reset password one of the domain user, here is the error message: "Reset Password Failed" "Administrator credentials in application do not match with the one found in Active Directory" -Although the softwares default admin account enables me to reset the password which changes the password of the domain user account user so how come it does not have the proper credential with its domain admin account counterpart?

Changing Date/Time
After upgrading to the latest rerlease, all of the logged dates and times are now different than the server's date and time. I cannot find anywhere to change these settings. How do i set the date/time for the logs? Thanks, Patrick

SQL Native Client
I have just updated to the latest version of ADSelfService Plus (Version 4.5 Build 4511) and would like to change the Database from MySQL to my main SQL Server, I copied the DLL, RLL files as told and installed the SQL Native Client but it still doesn't load!! AD Configured admin Login Not allowed
Hello, I downloaded the "ManageEngine ADSelfService Plus 4.5 " to evaluate the product. I configured it for my domain and everything looked perfect. After I logout as admin user, now I get the login screen with the Domain list box and I am unable to login as "admin" user to make any further changes. All I get is normal user login session even if I login with the Domain Admin account. Can anyone seen this issue ? is there any different URL for the admin login to the application ? Plase advise thank

I have installed ADSelfService Plus 4.5 on a test system for evaluation. I've installed it as a service, and provided a username and password of a user that was a member of the Account Operators builtin domain group. The status for the domain initially said "The user/system has no admin privilege", but later when I looked again it said "Success". However, if I go in as an enrolled user to Reset Password, answer my security questions and what not and enter a new password, I get an error that says

When I try to export the list of non-registered users, some of the email addresses are getting cut off. It does not happen when i export to pdf, but i need it to export to csv. Thanks, Patrick
Phone number field validation
Really nice! I wish to validate the phone number but some people have an extension. So I tried format xxx-xxx-xxx Ext xxxx but it sees the x in "Ext" as a number field. Any thoughts?
