Can I change the site to work under a sub URL instead of the root?
Hello, I am looking to change the URL that the site works under. Instead of: http://serverB:8888/ I would like it to be: http://serverB:8888/selfservice/Can this be done? This would allow me to use a reverse proxy to map one domain name to multiple web servers. http://www.domain.com --> http://serverA and http://www.domain.com/selfservice --> http://serverB:8888/selfservice Thanks.

I'm trying to access the Initial login page and all I am getting is a blank white page. I put my browser to low and turned off my pop up blocker. still get just a plain white page...
New AD User with "User must change password at next logon"
I am currently testing out the Demo of ADSelfService PLus for use in our facility. I ran into an issue with adding a new user and setting the user to require a password change at next login. When I run the Selfservice application and try to connect as the new user in order to set the new password it tells me the username/password is incorrect. If I uncheck that setting in AD I the user logs in without issue. How can I set that so the user can be given an initial temporary password that they can connect
Technician/Administrator Enrollment
In order for my techs to login with domain credentials their OU needs to be part of the enrollment policy, and therefore they constantly get the enrollment reminder, but as techs they can't enroll. Is there any way in v4.4 to allow technicians to enroll AND be able to run reports and administer ADSelfService Plus? Thanks.

Is it possible to generate and email reports on a scheduled basis?
password expiration
What happens if a user does not change their password before their password expires? Is the user able to un-expire their acccount? Is this done with the "Unlock Account" option or "Forgotten Password" option? Does it reset the expiration time? so if we have a policy to change password every 90 days, does performing either of those options above reset that? Thanks

select OU not saving
When go into the Policy Configuration/Select OUs option the settings don't seem to be saving. When close and go back in all OUs are selected again. Any ideas why?

Can the admin reset a user in ADSelfService to re-register if the user cannot remember the answer to their security questions?

Logs or alerts sent to administrator(s)?
Where are the events that take place in ADSelfService Plus logged (Event Log, internal log, text file, etc)? I've seen the "audit reports" that you can manually run, but my company has the requirement to maintain the logs in a searchable format, and ideally have the administrative team alerted when a user unlocks themselves or resets their password. Also, would that report be an automatable task, so I don't have to manually run the report daily and export on my own, sort of like a digest report

High CPU
Hello, Adselservice server has high CPU use 100%, is there any configuration to consider?. The java.exe process consumes all the CPU. The server has 4GB ram, and 2 processors, window 2008 Standard R2 Please if there is any special configuration ?. thank you
STEP Notification not working - No emails being delivered
Hello I have had reports from multiple users that they are not receiving the STEP notification. I have performed some message tracking and have been unable to find any instances of the mail being generated and delivered. I have attached for your viewing the 'serverout1.log' which does show the notification being triggered at 12:00PM as configured. Any help and suggestions would be most appreciated. Thank you. Is it possible to edit the following text on the domain user login page: Enrolled Users >> Enrol your secret questions and answers. >> Login to change your password. >> Login to update your information. I'd like to remove some of this text (eg the last point because we have turned off that functionality in the applicaiton), and re-word some of it as well. Thanks

ADSelfService 4.4 Does Not Start
1. Installed ADSelfService on W2008R2. Started the console and then provided a basic configuration. Rebooted the machine, and ADSS will not start, cannot be installed as a service, and does not update any logs. The progress bar gets to "Loading Authentication" and then dies. Any help would be appreciated.

Single Sign-On
Have enabled single sign-on for ADSSP and have also enabled SSL. But when accessing the server's URL (either via HTTP or HTTPS) the user is presented with a login screen (it is different to the standard login screen because the login form is below the Forogt Password / Account Unlock buttons, and also the image branding is the ADSSP image not our custom organization logo. Installing 3rd party certificate for ADSelfService Plus
I have obtained an SSL certificate through GeoTrust which I need to use with ADSelfService plus. I see there are instructions for installing GoDaddy, Comodo and Verisign certs but nothing for GeoTrust. GeoTrust provides its certificates in a p7s file format which supposedly includes all intermediate CA certificates so that I shouldn't have to install the intermediate CAs separately. Can someone please provide me instructions on installing the GeoTrust certificate?
Firewall Issue
I am evaluating ADSelfservice. While it seems to work very well, I did notice an issue that I am not sure what to do with. I read through the posts and noticed a couple of people had the same problem; slowness when accessing the login screen, and when actually logging in. I did however narrow down the cause. It seems the system performs a series of inquiries on the workstation that is accessing it. When I access the console from the server (Win 2k3 SR2, 4GB RAM), accessing the site and logging in

Hi we have installed AD Self service in Our Network. My question is Regarding Security Question for resetting the User passwords The answer for that security question is visible for all when they are typing for that question. Is there anyway that we can hide like astrike(***). like it appear dot dot. no one can see that except ***. If someone know that, then any-other can change the password of any-other users. Disable User Details Self Update?
I want to use the Reset, Unlock, and Change Password functions, but I don't want to use the form for users to edit their own details. I know I can go in and just uncheck the checkboxes for all the fields, but that leaves a mess of the header and footer bar there with just all the fields missing. What I would like is an option for another page that has bigger buttons for the Questions reset/registration and Change Password and appears when you have Self-Service Update disabled. Hello, after deploying sucessfully the GINA Client Software on the end users magine, when they click on the button created on the Window Login Menu it opens a small browser windows with the Page not Found indication, where is this webpage deployed and what is the address? ADSMUserReportResult_ files in \temp
Currently have 5800+ files in the \temp directory all with the above filename prefix. The files data back only about 3 weeks. There are 250+ of them created each day. Is it possible to manage how these are created (i.e. how many and when, etc)? Or can it be turned off somehow if not required? Thanks!

Back ground We were running through installing an SSL cert on our ADSSP installation. We used Thawte Certs. We had some issues with the JVM locking up this appears to have been due to Thawte. Issue Even after removing the SSL Config from the server.xml file ADSSP does not launch correctly. The windows service starts with no errors, but the service does not respond on 80 or 443. If I disable or uninstall the service and launch manually, I still get no response and no splash screen We need to roll
SSL question
Can anyone tell me how to generate an SSL cert that is 2048 bit . Go Daddy only accepts them 2048 and above but the documentation with this application gives a command that generates only 1024 and that is not accepted. any help would be appreciated. thanks Rick
Problem Deleting User
I have a user that enrolled but he forgot his questions and answers but when i try to delete his account it does not allow me to click on the trashcan beside his name. I tried a differant users entry and it allows me to delete his account. Please advise.
