Expired password accuracy?
Hi, I was using the expired passwords report to determine whether an account was inactive or not, as opposed to the regular inactive account report and noticed something that concerns me. We haven't been able to use the regular inactive account report because it seems to trigger on logons with userid and password whereas our users log on with smart cards. So we used the password expiration as the same measure since users still had to change their passwords every 90 days. Now however users can only

ADManager Plus Synchronising With Primary Domain Controller
How often does ADManager Plus synchronise with the primary domain controller? Our Helpdesk users have found that the information being displayed can be out of date. For example when unlocking a user account it'll continue to be displayed as locked out until it synchronises with the primary domain controller. Thanks, Lane.

I gave a user create single computer rights under AD Delegation for 1 OU. When they try and add a computer they receive the following error: Error Code 8007202f : Error in Creating computer, A constraint violation occurred. Any thoughts? thanks

Hi, Can anyone advise me what is the least amount of permissions required for the user account that is setup for domain access? We prefer not give these type of user accounts Domain Administrator roles, so would like to know what is the minimum amount of permissions required to enable the user account to function with user and group management in Active Directory. ManageEngine Service won't start. Error 1067
Hi ManageEngine-Team Somehow we managed to destroy the Windows service of ADManager. We tried to change some IIS-Port settings and had to restart the service for a few times. I guess in english the error would be something like: "Error 1067: The Process was terminated due to an unhandled exception" I attached the last changed logs to this post. thank you!

Question: When setting up the CSV file to import, I have a list of phone nu,ber both with and without extensions. The DID's are easy as I am using (XXX) XXX-XXXX format to import them. The questio is when importing a number with an extension, what is the best practice for formating this schema to import into AD? Permisions to Groups
Would be good to have the ability to give permission to specific users to adjust membership of specific security groups so a line manager can add or remove them from areas of their responsibility. I do not want to give the user permissions to access all groups. Phil Evelyn

Import user details from a csv file
i want to know how to modify users details using a csv file. i exported the users details to a csv file and modified the feilds i want to , but i don't know how to reimport the csv file after the modification.
Group Membership Organized by User
Is there a way to run the "Group for a User" AD report for each users in a domain rather than continually rerunning the report several hundred times for each user in a domain? Since we regularly audit each users membership to groups, it would be helpful to run this report for each user, then review the access with each manager. Thanks for any help you can provide!
Custom Attribute
Hi, I've created several templates to create users for different companies. One of the differences is of course the e-mail address. We have different recipient policies that check extensionAttribute2 for a specific text. I have added the text in the template for extensionAttribute2, however when the user is created the attribute is not populated. I suspect it is because the mailbox creation process is dependent on RUS. Is there a way around this? I would rather not have to change all of our recipient

Uninstall of ADManager Plus
I had admgr plus v4.1.0, I installed patch 4.1.0 sp1.1.0.ppm, I then installed v4.1.0 sp2.0.ppm. I now cannot run admanager plus at all. infact the entire application is gone from the start menu yet the folder and files are located on c:. I have attempted to uninstall from add remove programs but get the folling message: "Setup has detected an earlier version of ADManager Plus which must be uninstalled before this version can be installed. How can I uninstall and reinstall a fresh copy ?

DC's with {servers not operational error}
Dear support; thanks for your help and support, i have an urgently and great problem with ADmanager, i have 4 DC's with single domain, 2 in my location and the other 2 in diffrent location. and alwayes when i add the 2 dcs that in the other location i rec. the error {servers not operational error} which mean that the servers not correctly connected. kindly note that i can ping the other servers correctly with names and IPs. and no ports and closed... please advice ASAP thx

Active Directory Replication between Domains
Greetings ! I recently added a new domain controller to my network using Windows Server 2003 R2 x64 bit OS. There has been a reported problem in gettng an x64 Server Domain to join an existing x32 OS based domain. I am wanting to install a duplicate "copy" the Active Directory on my Primary Windows Server 2003 x32 Domain Controller to the new 2ndary Domain Controller running Windows Server 2003 R2 x64 OS. Anyone have any suggestions on how I might do this without having to create a gazillion .csv
Duplicating Active Directories
I have a network with 5 servers. One of the servers I am converting to Windows Server 2003 R2 x64 edition. In the process of setup, I was unable do to a problem in the x64 software to assign this new server as a child in an existing domain forest. I need to replicate the AD setup on my primary domain to this new 2ndary domain. Anyone have an idea how I can go about it or what software to use to do it so I don't have to make all the manual entries into the system again?

Summary Report?
I frequently run a user and computer account deletions from a CSV file outputted from ADmanager's inactive user/computer report. Would it be possible to have a summary report after bulk deletions? Like 400 accounts processed, 390 accounts deleted, 10 failed. Its not very feasible to scroll through the summary for confirmation.
Incorrect/Missing Domain Controllers
Hi, we have ADManager Plus (5.2.0) which is all up to date. The problem I have is that we have many more domain controllers than I get in the computers, domain controllers report. The computers that are missing from that report are in, just not showing up under domain controllers. Any ideas? Thanks.
