Daily Report Newly Discovered Devices
Hello, I am sure I am over looking this report or an option to create a custom report for discovering all new devices added into Opmanager from the previous day. We would like a report generated that will show all new discovered devices (network devices, VM Snapshots, physical machines). I am not able to find this report nor can I seem to find the right set of reports to use for this. OpManager shows some interfaces on Cisco ASA 5520 as "DOWN" when they are "UP"
Hello, I am monitoring a Cisco ASA 5520 using OpManager. For some reason two subinterfaces on the ASA shows as "Down". One shows as "shutdown" (administratively down) and the other one as "down". However, when I check the ASA, both interfaces show as "interface is up, line protocol is up". Could you please help me figure out why it shows down in OpManager? (Other interfaces on the same ASA shows right status). Thank you.
No traps are defined in F5-BIGIP-LOCAL-MIB.txt
In attempting to load traps from the 2 mib files related to the BIGIP gear we have, I'm finding that OPManage cannot parse the file and find the actual trap definitions. I have included the 2 MIB's that we cannot get to parse, please review, feedback is appreciated. We get the same error upon trying to load traps from either of the following 2 MIB files. No traps are defined in F5-BIGIP-LOCAL-MIB.txt No traps are defined in F5-BIGIP-GLOBAL-MIB.txt
Bug on "Add Monitors" Page in OP Manager
Hi, On the "add monitors" page, if i select the category name like "Memory Monitors", it did not select all the child items. instead it left one of the item from the selected category and select one child item from the previous category. please refer to the attached picture where 'pages per second' is left out and 'used logspace' is selected. same behaviour is when i deselect the 'Memory Monitors''
AD login unstable
Hi, I just upgrade to OpManager build 9400 and add our AD server in it for login. However, I discover we always failed to login with AD account specially when I press "Enter" after enter user id , password and select to login with our AD. Most likely 10 times will failed with 7 times etc. If I select login to AD with mouse select and click login with mouse instead with "enter", fewer problem occurs like 10 times will failed with 1-2 times. I think may be this is cause by the login page script when
invalid license when installing Opmanager on a new machine
I m trying to migrate my Opmanager to a new machine as the old one is going to retire soon. when I try to install version 9101, i keep getting the invalid license error message. my current version on the old machine is 9101. how do I export the license to the new machine ?
Filtering Server Interfaces
Is there a way to automatically filter out interfaces that don't have a macaddress associated with them? It's really tedious when adding a server because you have to go each device to remove the unwanted interfaces and if you happen to do a rediscover, they come back! Can i edit a configuration file or something to do this?
script monitor and custom alert message
Hello support, I created a powershell script monitor. It's working fine. But I would like to have a custom alert message. I enabled all thresholds (attention/trouble/critical/rearm). My script has got the following strings: Write-Host "Message: Licenses in use: $list" But I don't see my message in the OpManager's alarm. How to use custom 'Message' for that ? Can you please provide any examples ? Help is not clear on that: Output Format: Message:This message will be used as alarm message.
SMS server settings
Hi, In Opmanager once you configure (incorrect) settings for SMS server settings it is impossible to clean up the settings. The GUI now requires valid input (which is not available) and won't allow me to delete whatever is in it now. Additionally now opmanager posts messages "Modem is not connected". Moving OpManager 8 instance to Windows 2008 R2 and SQL 2008 R2, No widgets available!
Hi there. I'm running the latest version of OpManager 8. I'm attempting to perform a clean install on a Windows 2008 R2 server using SQL 2008 R2 Express as the DB and when I log in, no maps or widgets are visible. Cleartext password in cookies
Hello, I couldn't help but notice that when I log into OpManager with the "Keep me signed in" box checked, my username and password are saved in plaintext in cookies. Is there a better way something like this might be accomplished? This seems like it could be a pretty big security issue, especially since the cookies aren't even set as Secure. My knowledge of web security is pretty limited, but I don't feel very comfortable knowing my password is floating around freely, especially if it's a password

Bonded Linux interfaces (HP servers)
I have an interesting issue with "teamed" interfaces on HP DL380 servers running Linux. When I manage the server from OpManager, the teamed interfaces are detected as 10Mbps. This is a Gbps interface and it is plugged into a Gbps port on the switch. I have an exact duplicate server (hardware the same) running Windows 2003 Server and the teamed interfaces are detected properly at 1Gbps. Map View flash file dimensions
Is there a way to increase the resolution size of a map view? I've tried various screen resolutions with no luck. While the browser and overall webpage resizes without a problem the map of the business view appears to be set statically as if it's in a frame. When I select the [Fit to Screen] button in the upper right of the page, it doesn't fit it to the screen but instead to a frame within the screen.
No Data Available for "Last Day Report"
I cannot get any data for the Last Day report in the Bandwidth Monitor. I just get No Data Available in big red letters. Last Hour works fine as does Last Month.
Opmanager service starts then stops after a few seconds
Just upgraded to build 9400 and now we cannot start Opmanager. Running Windows Server 2008 R2 and Opmanager as a service, the service starts then stops after a few seconds. We now have no NMS solution so would appreciate any help any body can give us. I dont know if this is significant ? After patch to Build 9400 Opmanager refuses to start
Hi, Having just patched Opmanager to Build 9400 it no longer starts. We are running on Windows server 2008 R2 and it was running as a service with no issues, I tried rolling back the to 9200 (which was successful) but it still will not start. Now we have no NMS and no idea what our 500 odd servers and network devices are doing.....this is NOT good.
iPhone App Won't Login
I cannot get the iPhone app to login to our OpManager server. I have the latest version (updated today), and I have entered the server information with port 443. My AD credentials do not work, and I even created a local account and that does not work either. I get "Login Failed" every time I try to login. I have verified the logins work on my computer. Also, when I try to access OpManager on my iOS Safari browser I get a "server error" message upon login. We are using build number 9400. Thanks,

I want to make an report of 100 servers and al the this components have to be in it, 1. CPU Usage 2. Memory Usage 3. C: Drive 4. D: Drive 5. E: Drive 6: Availability But i cant make an total report of it, i have to click on every component to save the image, Isnt there a way i can see all the components at once ? Monitoring via Trap - "healthy uptime trap notifications"
I've seen a few systems constantly sending out traps for "uptime", and right now we have a polycom device that is sending traps every few seconds. The trap is just a normal notification of "uptime". I did a little googling and have reached the conclusion that this "reverse polling", has been deteremined to be faster than polling (such as ping tests). So I seem to be faced with a decision. SMS notification test says "Message Sent" but it's never received. Using a Nokia 6310i on Windows 2003 R2. Sending direct from the phone works as expected

Unable to install OpManager NetFlow Plug-In
When attempting to install the NetFlow Plug-In receive the error: "Insufficient disk space. ManageEngine OpManager NetFlow Plug-In needs a minimum of 150 MB." There are 106 GB free on the drive. This is being installed on a Windows Server 2008 machine. Thank you for your assistance. Rob

Performance on our main probe
Hi, We are running OPManager 9 enterprise edition, build 9200. We are experiencing a very slow respons on the probe when browsing around, and wanting to add new devices. The server OS it self runs with not much load. What is considered as a heavy load on the probe OPManager wise? Netflow and NCM Plugins do not work after update to 9400
After following the directions to update from 9200 to 9400 I have found that both by NCM and NetFlow plugins no longer work. Attempting to "jump to" just brings up a page cannot be displayed message in IE. I attempted to update my Netflow to the latest version (9000 to 9700) and it indicates the PPM is incorrect for this version. The NCM update (batch file process) indicated it was successful however it does not appear to be so. Anyone else have issues with this?
