Hi, My opmanager installation reports a lot of authentication error on our active directory and after examining the errors it sessms an opmanager monitor is causing them. How can I find our what monitor is causing this as there are no errors in opmanager checkers. KR, Ronald

Monitoring Exchange store dismount
Hello, is there any way OpManager can monitor if an Exchange information store gets dismounted? We had this happen the other day because of the Exchange 2003 Standard IS size limitation. The service, etc. was up but the store got dismounted. We never got an alert from Opmanager about it.
Downtime Schedules cannot start in the past
If I create a Downtime Schedule that starts in the past, it will never take effect even if the ending date is in the future.. Here's an example: 1) I need to suppress alerts immediately and the time is currently 12:16 PM. 2) I create a Downtime Schedule for 12:15 PM to 18:00 PM. 3) I click the Update button to return the list of Schedules 4) The "Next Scheduled at" column says that it's Finished even though it should be in effect up through 18:00. The only way to get around this is to select 12:30
OpManager 6.5 MS SQL into 20GB DATA
Dear support. I have install OpManager 6.5 with MS SQL 2005 in my LAB. How could I shrink the MS SQL 2005 database from 20 GB (MDB file) and still can keep all my config, Topology ? If I change config from MS SQL into mySQL, Reconfig my MS SQL, change it back to MS SQL, is that going to fix the problem for my MS SQL (20 GB MDB file) ? Thanks. warren

Cannot access mysql database
We are deploying OpManager to a number of sites, each with similar configs, but with a few tweaks. As a result I was trying to look through the sql database to see if we could script some steps to save time when we deploy the program. However, I am having troubles logging in. I use the command "./mysql -u root -P 13306 OpManagerDB" fromt he mysql subfolder in the OpManager folder. I am receiving the following error: ERROR 2002 {HY000}: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock'

About monitoring Riverbed question, type what value in the System OID
Our company use Opmanager DE, we need mornitoring some steelhead devices. I have put the two mid files that name is RBT-MIB and STEELHEAD-MIB to \Program Files\ManageEngine\OpManagerCentral\mibs folder in the center server. Unable to update profile criteria in build 8050
We just installed build 8050 and, for some reason, I can no longer update the profile criteria on any device. Here's the process I follow: 1) Go to the server snapshot page 2) Select the Notification Profile page 3) Click the Rules button for any given profile 4) Open the Threshold rule violations (everything is checked) 5) Uncheck all the rules 6) Click Next 7) Click Save 8) Go back into the profile and everything is still checked...nothing was saved. I can repeat this process for any of the

I'd like to dump a listing of the notes on alerts created by operators. I can see there is an Annotation table in OpManageDB, but I see the Entity field connects to the Alert table. But how does the Alert table then relate back to the name of the Monitor that caused the alert?
How do you setup a monitor for bandwidth utilization?
I have several Cisco 5500 VPn devices that I am trying to use OpManager as a tool to help monitor Bandwidth utilization. Can someone please help me get this setup? MS Exchange 2007 and OpManager 8
Hello, We run OpManager 8007. Our Exchange 2007 is configured so that we have 2 servers for each role, i.e CAS, HUB, Mailbox, and Edge. We have two of each for redundancy. The issues we face are: Only the mailbox servers actually let us load the Exchange 2007 monitors from the Exchange tab of the add monitors page. For the other servers (CAS, HUB, etc.) I have to figure out which services are running and add them manually, but this lets me monitor just the services and not really the performance

Syslog rule creates an alarm but doesn´t send SMS
Hello all I have the following issue: I had configured my syslog rules to capture any failed login, so I went to the notification profile and created a Modem based SMS Profie for this rule, also I associate the profile with the server. I generate a failure of login failure, I see the alarm generated in the dashboard but didn´t recieve the sms, I tried with a email profile and it beheaves the same way, when I go to reports and check on Notification profiles triggered I see the notifications
OpManager able to close a call
If something is reported by OpManager, such as a response time notification, and the rearm value is set, then two calls are logged (quite correctly) in SD+. It would be useful if the call could be closed or partially closed. For statistics purposes, we still want the incidents logged, even if cleared, but would prefer an auto-closure option. For us, this is significant for logging when response times on Websites go through the roof (we have 42). They will often then reset and we would like them
Opmanager integration into Service Desk Plus
I have tried numerous times to integrate OpManager into SDP. Both products are on the most current builds, and I have followed the instructions for supplying domain credentials without success. Adding a device successful, but then not found in system
Since upgrading to build 8050 from 8025 I am unable to add any devices to the system. No errors on the upgrade and since we have not had any issues with general use / monitors or the website itself. We have an unlimited node license. Please help as I have new servers and a remote router that I must have monitored for compliance and statistical purposes. Regards, Ash

After the installation of 8030, I can no longer rediscover the interfaces of our Adtran devices. Other routers do not seem to be effected. Has anyone experienced this? Thank you

Hi, Is there a possibilty to create a template for dc or exchange monitoring? Or how can I change a treshold for a exchange, dc monitor, so this will work on every dc, exchange server? And some further questions: - I don't see any interfaces on windows server? Do I have to enable SNMP on the servers? Shouldn't it work with WMI only? - On some devices I see only the IP address and no DNS name, although there are DNS entries for this devices? - When I do a device import, all the servers will be recognized

ttl Expired and device is up in Opmanager
hy guys! Some devices are unavailable (category routers) are up in status, although they are down. When do I make the Ping Test the devices reported that the ttl has expired. Status should be down in Opp, but this does not occur. some idea of what might be happening?

MS SQL issue since upgrading to 8050
I just upgraded to 8050 and afterward all my MS SQL monitors are gone. Every server I had the monitors setup on shows the monitor dashboard but all the monitors are gone. I added the monitors back for my main cluster but most of them are now showing alarms. Here is one of the alarms.. Average Lock Wait Time is 837541 ms, threshold value for this monitor is 2048 ms Before the upgrade all the monitors were fine. Not only did the upgrade remove all the current monitors and make the new ones way off

Router changed IP - unable to rediscover interfaces
Hi, We've recently had to change the primary IP address of our core Cisco router to fix some QOS issues. This then caused the device to appear as not available. I changed the IP address and now I can see Availability, CPU, Memory, etc but on the listed interfaces I'm not getting any traffic or utilisation like I was before the IP change.
