External snmp sensor (probe)
Hi, is there a step by step guide on how to install / configure external snmp probes to OpManager ? I am trying to setup ServersCheck SensorGateway, which I have the mib file for. I am expecting to see charts as well as values.
Last polled value "No data available"
Hi, i'm new using opmanager and i'm trying to monitor a few devices using SNMP. The problem is when i add the last polled value of a performance monitor widget in the dashboard, sometimes it shows the correct value, however most of the times only show "No data available". Am i doing anything wrong? I would appreciate if someone can help me.
SNMP Clear on OpUtils
I have integrated WebLogic SNMP Trap Notification with Manage Engine Oputils, and I'm able to receive below SNMP Alert traps. The issue is, clearing the relevant SNMP Alert trap. Is there someone also know WebLogic, because, I am confused. Is the action is on WebLogic side or OpUtils side. Can someone please redirect me for clearing the below SNMP trap notification which is sent by WebLogic and recieved by OpUtils "SNMP Receiver" wls .1.3.6.1.4.1.140.625 10.100.x.xx 0 hours, 29 minutes, 27 seconds.
Cisco 6807 , Cisco 6880 and new devices with new MIB or not well known
Hi , I have a Netflow Analyzer distributed version , I'm trying to add flows that come from two new Cisco Devices Catalyst 6807 and Catalyst 6880 . I configured netflow on device and also snmp but netflow see only one interface with ifindex1 and when I use snmp discover tool with right read community nothing happen. I used the same configuration of Nexus 7010 that instead works fine. I possible that I need to add some new MIB in Netflow Analyzer? , if yes where ?

Configure SNMP v3 for Cisco Nexus 6000...
Greetings, Is there some trick to configuring SNMP v3 on the Cisco Nexus 6000 too communicate with OpManager (v. 10, build 10200)? I've configured the account, password, auth and priv settings in OpManager and set them the same on the Nexus, but I get next to no information about the device in OpMan. Am I expecting too much, or should the hardware tab populate and the utilization dials show information? What should I be seeing if everything is set up correctly? Thanks in advance

Scanned printer shows up as wrong model (RICOH Aficio MP C6000 vs actual MP C5503)
Hey all, A RICOH MP C5503 we have was scanned in by SDP-MSP as a RICOH Aficio MP C6000. I was curious if anyone has run into a similar situation? If so, did you resolve it by manually creating the appropriate model and assigning it? Is this an issue on SDP's side or some strange identifying info on the RICOH itself? Everywhere I look on the printer's web GUI the model is identified as an MP C5503. Thanks

Hello everybody, (I am sorry but I am bad in english) I would like to know why can I see any trap sometimes in "Alarms -> All alarms" tab and sometimes in "Reports -> SNMP Trap Log" tab ? What's the difference ? Is there a page where I could see all the traps ? Thank you. Best Regards

SNMP Monitoring
I am just curious to as if there is a setting to set or a default value for the SNMP community that opmanager listens on for snmp traps being sent to it. I know where to set the string for it to poll other devices and request/write data, but not how it listens.
SNMP scan failing
Have enabled printers with SNMP with read access with credentials. When we choose to scan asset it is failing - cannot connect to SNMP Agent or credential is not configured. It is inventoring but doesn't function to place in correct asset location as a printer for example. Have put in creditials and tried scanning and it still fails. What needs to be changed in order for this to accept the creditials. Is there a configuration in the printer settings that needs to be opened? Thanks, Gayla Alderette
cisco cat4849e buffer hits misread
Hi, There is a issue with the default medium and big buffer hits for cisco cat4948e. For instance a) OID: .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.34.0 is assigned to the default monitor "Big Buffer Hits". Mib browser GET gives the real value while the monitor test responses with value "0". b) OID:: .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.26.0 - "Medium Buffer Hits" monitor also gives 0 where #show buffers on the switch and mib browser both give n-value. Although "Small Buffer Hits" does work fine. To mitigate this flaw had to create a custom

Hi, Is AppManager able to collect data from 2 different ports on the same host ? If yes, how ? To clarify, I have my own application that it is using customized MIBS running on a Windows 2012 server I would like to collect "regular" host data ( CPU, disk...etc) on port 161 as well as my own data on port 164 By the way, how do one upload MIBs in AppManager ??? How to know SNMP index once interface name is changed on Device tab ?
Hello, I have configured a router in Neflow Analyzer some time ago and my provider changed the router configuration. I have changed interface names by something more relevant and now I will like to check SNMP index number (ifindex) of the currently configured router. I will like to check for each interface its interface index to be sure about the current naming in Netflow. I can't find where it is mentionned and if it is written somewhere ? NetFlow Analyser cannot get SNMP information
Hi. I'm testing NetFlow Analyser version 9.8.5 on a Windows 2008 server. The application is not able to recover SNMP informations from my Cisco routers with the snmp community I'm using. This snmp community has this character in it : & I think it might be the problem because if I use a community with letters and digits only there is no problem. This snmp community does not give me trouble in the OPManager Netflow Plugin. Thanks.
CI Name without DNS record
I have dozens of devices on my network that are only reporting back only IP addressesd (mostly printers). If I change the CI name to allow my tech staff to better identify the asset and for reporting purposes, future scans all fail as the device does not have a reverse DNS record for that CI name to IP address. Unknown type OIDs that are not routers, switches, printers or access point
How do we handle assets scanned that report invalid OIDs that are not of the type routers, switches, printers or access point? We have networked devices such as Environment Monitors, UPC's, Power Strips, etc that are network devices that can communicate via SNMP, but are not of the types available. I am unable to identify the device by OID correction, and without that, scans continually fail on that device. I am on 8.1 build 8127
Physical health monitoring on ESX4.1
Hello, I am monitoring an ESX4.1 installed on a HP proliant DL380 G5. I need to monitor things like power supply, temperature etc... As OpManager is based on native API, I don't need any agent installation on my ESX, do I? Even if OpManager doesn't use SNMP for ESX monitoring, can we use a MIB to get those informations? My environment machines have mixed this with WMI and SNMP. I am wanting to use the DeviceTemplate and standardize the monitors. I want to know if I put in DeviceTemplate both types of monitors SNMP and WMI, I want if I put these two monitors I'll have some kind of problem? Conflict for example.

Alert when there is no SNMP trap
We have an environment monitoring device that we have added into OpManager. (IMS4000 by Sensaphone) We run a generator test each week and when it runs it generates an SNMP trap. I want to be notified when the generator did not run. Can I set up a workflow to notify me when an SNMP trap is not generated? Citix Xenserver 5.5 Monitoring via SNMP

SNMP Monitor and Juniper-Firewall-MIB
We are currently implementing Juniper SRX-400 firewalls and would like to monitor them via SNMP. We successfully added the Juniper-Firewall-MIB to the list of available MIB's but after selecting the MIB and selecting the OID's we would like to monitor the screen refreshes and none of the attributes are attached to the monitor. Do we need to add each OID individually, or am I missing something? Thanks!
SNMP traps clear other traps
Basically, Dell can send traps for both things going bad and things going ok. It would be nice if you could set the 'ok' traps to clear certain bad traps. Maybe makes this a manual setting in the trap setup. For instance, a drive fails and makes the array non-redundant. I'd like to be able to map the 'array ok' trap to clear the 'array non-redundant' trap.
Dell 2700W UPS
Hi I've added 2 Dell UPS's to OpManager, while its finding them etc, it doesn't appear to querying the status, such Charge, Remaining Time etc. I've switch on SNMP etc, but still no joy. Can anybody advise on this? Do I need to setup a device template for them?

APC Netbotz temp probe readings display in OpManager alarms
I have created a custom category called Temperature Sensors. I then created a custom Device Template called APC Netbotz 200 and added it to the new category Temperature Sensors. Using OID .1.3.6.1.4.1.318 (APC's PowerNet-MIB.mib file) and OpManager's MIB browser I can select the IP address of my APC Netbotz 200 and see all current information (name, serial number, temps, humidity, etc) for the device. snmp wont work properly
HI guys, I was wondering if yuo can help me with this problem. most of the gateways and interfaces on netflow analyzer enterprise edition resolve to their names and speed using the snmp string. but there are still a few routers that wont resolve the name and all i see is the IP. some of the interfaces wont resolve to their names either and i see ifindex###. weired part is some gateways names and speed are resolved with 2 of the 4 interfaces resolved but the other 2 wont. thank you, Usman.
