Too much notifications for technicians
Hello, Our technicians complaint to current SD notification mechanism. The main reason of the issue is that SD sends the alerts even if it was not necessary. For example when technician assigned the requests to himself he always getting alerts. Why does he need to get an alert if it was actually he who has assign the request? My Regards, Vlad

Remote Control ServiceDesk Plus
Wich port does remote control need for use on different domains. In our environment we have different domains which we use in the asset management module. I've made some changes on the firewall to make that happen. Now I would like to know which ports Remote control use so I can make I available true the firewall. Also, how do you use the CTRL+ALT+DELETE option in the Java remote session? I could only find the refresh button for the logon screen. But once I'm logged on this doesn't work anymore.
Unusable field in request form - Asset

How to restore the admin-account
We managed to reassign the administrator somehow to be a normal support rep. After logging off and on, we lost access to the configuration. Is there any way to restore the settings of the administrator, so that we can access the system-management again - other than restoring from a backup? Thanks, Rudolf Bom
Unable to view more than 25 tasks
It appears there are no controls in the implementation tab of a change to page through tasks. The default view allows 25 tasks to be viewed, and the rest are invisible. I can't find this in the list of known errors - is this on the roadmap for repair?

simulation steps: - make two requests related to same assets - merge to one - close the request - find the assets and go to request tab you will find the two request, one of them open and one of them closes :(
Linux Startup
How do I get SDP to start everytime my Linux server starts? I'm running it on debian and the only way for me to currently run SDP is to launch the run.sh script which I then have to terminate to do anything else. Thanks in advance for the help.
Technician can't view requests?
I made a requestor a technician, but when he goes to view requests, he sees the requests he made as a requestor, not the ones I've assigned to him. His Roles are SDAdmin and Technician do I need to do something else?

Update to 7509 fails
I am trying to update from 7508 to 7509, MS SQL. The update process stops saying "Invalid object name 'GLOBALCONFIG'. - reverted to old build". The log is empty. Anyone else also experiencing this? Thanks

Problem with fetching OU's from AD when importing requesters
Hi, We've made some changes in our AD meaning that i need to configure the service desk to look for users in a new OU. When i enter the 'Import Wizard', when i press the 'Fetch OU's from Active Directory Again' button, i get an error stating that ' Exception occured while enumerating oraganizational units'. Group and Technician field in Defualt Requester Template can't be added back to it?
Hi, We need Group and Technician field back to the Default Requester Template - but those fields are grayed on the left side of page where you can modify template. I don't know how this happend? How long should a 7022 to 7500 update take?
We have tried this update several times over the past few months without any sucess at all. The AdventNet Update Manager has been sitting with the picture of the package, the flying bit of paper, and the PC now for about 1 hour. We assume something has gone wrong (yet again)? Problem when assigning assets to a user
Hi, I have a problem while scanning and assign assets to a user. here are the description: 1. I make individual scan of a machine (m1). 2. I Assign the machine (m1) to the user (u1) 3. I make individual scan of a workstation (m2) 4. The system says me that m2 is assign to u1 5. I replace u1 for u2, in m2 6. m1 is deleted from the system 7. I come back to repeat the operation to workstation m3 8. the system says me that m3 is attributed to u2 9. the situation happens again for all the workstations
DK Keyboard layout vs. modern at (@)
We use the SDP with Danish users, and Danish keyboard layout. When users write in the requests Body field they cannot write a @, with DK layout (Alt Gr + 2). Instead the text in the line resizes and goes bold. Can you make a fix for this, please asap ?

java.exe utilizing 100% of CPU
Hi. I'm running ServiceDesk Plus Enterprise version 7.5.0 Build 7508 with MSSQL 2008 as backend. The ServceDesk crash on random occations, and the reason seems to be that the process java.exe is utilizing 100% of the CPU constant. I've read a couple of entries regarding this here in the forum, but these seems to be old 'tweaks' - it dosent solve my issue. I am trying to move ServiceDesk plus from one server to another. I keep getting the error below. I have tried multiple backup files and make sure the configs were the same. The only difference is the new server has the install on the D drive and the old server had the install on C:. I have attempted to san several snmp enabled systems and have failed, this includes several switches and linux servers. Interestingly enough the CISCO switch on our network does scan correctly, please tell me your software doesn't care what kind of device it finds?

Problem with mail
We are using service desk plus and have had no problem getting our mail. Out of the ble the fetching of mail just stopped. In the admin section where we configure the email everything looks ok, and the mail fetching is running, but it sais that last time it tried to get a mail was thu sep 03 and the time. I have started and stopped the mail fetching but for no use. Anybody who have any good idea why it just stopps and can i force it to fetch mail? Kristin
reoccurring problem with login window
we are running the 7.5 version of ServiceDesk plus at our office. Occassionally, in the mornings before any of the employees have logged in, all the service desk login pages do not show the network selection dropdown menu, and therefore none of the users can log in. not even the administrator accounts on the local authentication. Moving SQL 2005 database to Another Server - ERROR - HELP!
Question - have recently moved Servicedesk Plus to another server - no problems.... tried moving the SQL 2005 database from one server to another (using the SQL copy gui for the database and log files) - database moved across OK. Embedded images from email not appearing in description
We moved the email address for servicedesk to Exchange 2007. Now, when emails arrive the tickets are created, but any images that were embedded in the message show up as attachents instead of being in the description of the ticket. I confirmed this behavior with Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007. Groups/Sites Problem
When I first got this thing (SDP) going, I created a site. Then, when I created groups just now, I placed them into the site which I created earlier. However, when someone now goes to create a request, neither of these two groups show up in the groups drop-down list. How can I change it so that everything is operating within the same site (the site which I created)?
External Vendor gets blank screen after login
We are on 7015. AD pass-through works for all users belonging to our domain. We have several contractors which need to remotely access our ticketing system.
