Software type 2?
When receiving software licenses from a purchase order, it will create the licenses and automatically close the purchase order. The problem is that it does not mark those licenses as Individual or Enterprise. It marks them with a 2 as shown in the attached screenshot. I can manually go in and change them, but this should do it automatically.

Banner Question
I have a question regarding Manage Engine Service Desk and the custom banner. If you could take a look at the attached screenshot, I would like to know if it is possible to have a banner running across the entire top part of the page where the green block is. Now most CMS's can do it, I don't see why Service Desk can't? Someone must know which part of the code to edit, I mean I'd be guessing you'd have to update a CSS file and move the rest of the content down and add the image dimensions in. .....
Microsoft IE Error when clicking on note Icon in Requests
I am having IE give an error when I click on the Yellow Note Icon in the Requests screen. This has started happening over the past few days. I have attached the file the error produces. It happens rarely, but if I have two copies of Service Desk running at the same time, one is closed by the error but not the other. Problem editing Requester details
when entering a new request you can click on the "http://servicedesk/images/userslookup.gif" to search for the requester and if they exsist in Service Desk Plus. If they do exist you can click on the name to edit the Requester details. I.e. Email, phone, etc. Once you have updated the details, you then save and close. The Requester details are then input to the New Requst. This was working last week, but this week, when you click on the name to edit the name is put into the New Request with no option
Stop e-mail going to requestor
Hi there, Just wondering if it is possible to stop an e-mail being sent to a requestor on a case by case basis. Basically we would like for the IT team to be able to create a quick call of a job they have done (open and close straight away) without an e-mail going to the requestor. What does assets does domain scan pickup
I am scanning for the first time and the scan has detected 2389 assets, of which we believe we only have 1800ish, I know the scan will scan for anything with an ip which is okay(still only 1800ish) Does it scan for anything that may have been added to the domain, like ghosted PC's that have been used for image creation?? SD+ 7 and Active Directory Pass Through
You know, at first I thought it was me, but I did a totally clean install and rebooted after uninstalling. The last time I Uninstalled SD+ 7. Rebooted Installed SD+ 7 Started server Pulled up Admin interface Set up the login info the AD Domain Set the requester to send an email reply upon a request Then I set the AD login and pass through then I can't access the web interface anymore. It's just not responding. Stop and restarted and nothing. Any ideas? Oh yea, installed the standard with 30 day support

I am looking for a way to elevate a requestor, imported in from the AD, to a Tech. It looks like tech's are strictly stand-alone with no AD pass through authentication. I'd prefer to maintain a single sign-on for these individuals.

Browser login session timeouts
Hi guys, Has anyone else had issues with their sessions timing out on both servicedesk and opmanager? We have quite a few issues on both IE and firefox. Sometimes our sessions can time out a few seconds after logging in and we have to log back in again. This can happen often in the middle of creating requests or modifying opman templates and monitors. It ends up being quite time consuming and frustrating. Is this a configuration issue or something else? I've set the Automatic refresh option in opman

service was running without error... Service failed...Nothing in event viewer other than 'it died, look at logs'. I can't find anything useful in the logs. Service will not restart. What log files should I be looking at?

SDP 6, 6014, have configured quite a few daily/weekly Preventive Maintenance auto requests. At first they were all generating, now only some of the do. Having to manually click the 'run' to generate the requests. Anybody else having this problem?
Feature Request When merging tickets send resolution to all
When we merge several requests into one ticket when that ticket is closed a resolution email should be sent to every one who submitted a ticket. Otherwise we have no closure on the request. -tb

Issues with SD7 - mysql and fetching
1. mysqlnt.exe serice is running when SD7 fails and it trys to restart itself. As long as that process is running, SD7 cannot restart at all. Once that process is killed, it starts back up. 2. Mail fetching sporatically stops. Have to login as admin and start this option. Both of the issues happen once or twice a day. Anyone else having this problem, heard of a fix, or anything as I am tired of "troubleshooting" my helpdesk more than my users.

Reset Request ID numbers for new tickets
We're an existing V6 customer and along with everyone else are sick of waiting for the V7 upgrade. We need to use the new ITIL features so are considering starting a new fresh V7 install on a seperate server and leaving the V6 running to query our old data - all new jobs/etc will be done in V7. When a new request in entered an email is sent out to the person listed as the Requester. Contained in the email is a link. When I select this link an IE is started but displays 'Internet Explorer cannot displya the webpage'. Thanks in advance for your help, Terry

I have a CSV of our inventory... I am about to modify it so it better suits the import criteria for SD7. My question is that it loads but how do I define an item as servers/workstations and perhaps further have the workstations defined as laptops/desktops? The PDF manual isn't too clear about this. Tony

Upgrade from SDv6 to SDv7

Exporting assigned jobs to evolution calendar
Want to import assigned or scheduled tasks data from ServiceDeskPlus into the mail and calendar environment of EVOLUTION or any other mail-/calendar system. techs cannot view query repts saved EVERYONE by me
Using build 7002, I have several reports that I, an Administrator & Technician, saved indicating EVERY ONE (PUBLIC REPORT). Reports work like a champ for me. No other Technicians can view them even though the Technician role is permitted to VIEW reports. Clickable link to report is presented, but when they do it appears it tries to start but stays on the report list page, collapsing the report group they are in.
