Hello support, we are running opmanager 6(build 6005) on a XP SP2, P4 3.2 ghz and a 1gig of ram. But we are experiencing some difficulties and have some questions: - We have SNMP enable devices and able to see the memory and disk utilization dial graphs. We cannot see it for Cpu utilization, why? - Can we display values instead of percentages. example, 1gb of memory being used out of 2gb instead of 50%. - Can we have multiple threshold setup on monitors. example, if a application in windows using
What a technician can see
This may have been asked elsewhere or is on page one of the manual, but I couldn't see it. Can we create a technician who can only see the items in one group and nothing else? Or is that in fact the norm and I just haven't limited my account down sufficiently to find out? We MSP for a client who has his own IT bod and we want to let him see what is going through from his people and nobody else, in fact he doesn't have to be a techie account, he just needs viewing rights to just the cases from his
MySQL vs MSSQL
Hi, I was just wondering if there are any performance benefits to moving to MSSQL from the standard MYSQL? Currently my MYSQL dbase is sitting at just over 3gb and running a bit slow. Page load times are in the 30-60 seconds mark. Would moving to MSSQL improve performance? thanks, Matt.

Application-mapping / port range
I am currently running a demo of the product, and I am having a few challenges identifying Voice packets, specifically I need to id rtp streams which use dynamic UDP ports (in the range of 22800-32767). Is there a way to add application based identification similar to nbar or maybe have an option to add apps by port range? Or if you can recommend maybe the best way to go about this, thanks allen
"Automatic" application recognition
Hi, in NFA, is application recognition done solely by using port/protocol mappings, or is there any other mechanism used to do this (statistics about flow characteristics, a.s.o.)? This would be very useful and supportive for recognizing new applications in the network without having to introduce new traffic by hand. Thank you, Melitta
SNMP or WMI on 2003 Servers
Which monitoring type should I be using. I have a choice of SNMP and WMI when dealing with my 2003 servers (non DC's). What is the preferred type? I also notice sometimes the SNMP vs the WMI values show quite a difference in each other for the same monitoring. Why is that? Thank you.
Monitor Bittorrent Traffic
My Cisco router 1841 will detect Bittorrent traffic correctly using NBAR whether or not it uses the standard 6881-6889 port. However, when viewing the application report in Netflow Analyzer 4, pretty much all bittorrent traffic goes under the TCP_App category, very few actually went to the bittorrent category. Is there anything I can do or configure so that it will capture non-standard bittorrent traffic to the right category?

Upgrade to 7.0 broke WLS 8.1 Monitoring
I have a clustered environment with application servers on seperate boxes. Weblogic Monitoring for 8.1 was working fine until I upgraded to App Manager 7. Support previously provided me a fix to get the monitoring working. Can I get that fix again? Thanks.
Search feature Request
To AdventNet, In the search field area there is a Drop Down list option to search for keyword in Requests, Asset, Workstation, Software, etc. etc. QUESTION: Will we be able to have Field Types in the request form as a items in the Drop Down List
Merge emails to open ticket
Is there anything in development that would allow it so if an email came into Service Desk, and there is already a ticket that has been opened, to merge that email that came in to the already open ticket. I find that this would be extremely useful to me. Thanks!
Schedule reports
Hi, Moved up to the latest version of SD+. Was really looking forward to using the Scheduled report option. Whenever i try and set a report up to run it says "The selected date must be greater than the current date. I've checked the regional settings on the server and the PC. both set to GMT. Any ideas?

filter the event for user used to retrieve windows event log
Is there any way to filter out the event related to user we use to retrieve windows event log ? the events related to that user (mostly login and logout) always show up at top since I am retrieve event every 10-15 minutes. Thanks, Yanping

Processor Queue Length query.
In the Domain Controller Active Directory monitoring the System Monitoring contains a monitor for the Processor Queue Length. Is it possible to get this monitor available for file servers as well? Also is it possible to get parameters such as the disk queue length? Doug
New Feature for IP management in OpUtils 3
Would like to see the ability to have the info stored somehow so that anyone can login to see it, also the ability to modify an ip shown and give it a personal status of either used, not used (as it is now), and reserved status. This would be good so that if an address is being used for a temp solution somewhere or as an internal thing, those ips can be marked with the appropriate status. where are my alarms?
Good morning, I have one question concerning OpManager. I'm testing it for buying but I have a strange problem. I receive alarms and traps from several equipments. I have configured in "Database maintenance" and "Alarm database" for maintaining 10000 recent alarms in the database. But now I still receive alarms and traps but they are displayed during 1 day or even few hours and then they disappear... For example, I simulate several "Warm Start" traps, they were all stored yesterday but today they
SNMP after Hotfix 6005
I just applied the hotfix #6005 and after a few hours logged in to find that no SNMP data is available. When I go to test the monitor I get "The Monitor did not respond to the test request" for ones that were working just fine as of this morning. The only logical conclusion is something in the hotfix has changed the way SNMP monitoring functions. As anyone else experienced this? Anyone have any ideas on what we can do?
Server is already present in the System but where
Hello, I`ve added my Mailserver, then I delete this Server in the OpManger because someting was wrong. After a few minutes I tried to add the Server again. The System tells me the Server is present in the System, but I can`t see him. When I would add him again I get the following message: Device already present in the System. But when I look into the Network Views where the Network is listet i can`t see my Mailserver. What can i do? Thanks Daniel
upgrade to 7001 broke weblogic monitors
Upgrade to 7001 broke my weblogic monitors in the following ways: 1. I am unable to add weblogic 9.1 Managed servers to be monitored. I get the following error: "HTTP Status 500 - Dispatch[/adminAction] to method configureHostDiscovery returned an exception" 2. App manager is wrongly reporting that servers are down while they are actually up. I need to downgrade to the older version ASAP or have this problem fixed soon. Thanks mayura

Remove options from guest logins
I'm currently testing SD+ with the aim of implementing it soon. However i want all staff in our organization to login in under 1 guest account and then select their ID from a mandatory additional field. This is so staff can see all requests and see just how busy our support department gets. Customized Availability Report
I need to generate an availability report but only with all systems below a certain threshold (like 99.0%) and including some custom fields. The builtin report seems to be unable to do this... I guess, that this can only be solved by using Crystal Reports. I have that and can access the database, but need the field definitions and some more help in order to be able to piece this report together (unless somebody already has something like it and can provide me with it...). Date field in Asset
When trying to amend the end date for either lease or an additional field for warranty that i have added to the product (asset) page, you cannot go past 31 Dec 2006. Error message "Stack overflow at line: 1076" is presented within Internet Explorer. In Firefox browser, the error does not appear at all and the calender simply refuses to go past 31 Dec 2006. Error populating tree.xml
Hello, I recently installed opmanager 6.0 on a Windows2000 server machine. I was previously using opmanager 5.5. I renamed the opmangerdb directory to opmanagerdb.old and reinstalled opmanager 6.0 now when I login I receive the error message Error populating tree.xml. Any Ideas on how to fix this issue. Blank Descriptions
Yesterday I installed the HotFix to upgrade my Servicedesk Plus from 5010 to 5500. Since then I have had a very strange, intermittent problem. For pierods of time, when a requester opens a new request the information in the Description field does not get sent with the request. All I receive is the requester's email address and any attachments they sent. This is starting to cause a problem here as we are not receiving the information we need to work on the request. We do have a re-branded version
