Dutch language support & EOY release date
Hi, we might be buying SD+ as our primary helpdesk tool since most of our issues with the current version appear to be resolved in the coming Q4 release of SD+. I just have two important questions left: is there a release dat planned for the upcoming release. We might want to start implementing this month but if we need to reinstall / upgrade right after we've gone live we might be better of waiting a few more weeks for this new version. jboss monitoring 'some thoughts'
we are a jboss shop and have made great strides using appman to alert and trend our application. There however some core jboss attributes i feel should come out of the box with out haveing to add a custom attribute ( is painful when haveing to add to 50+ jboss monitors ). 1. on the jbdc connection pool it would be nice if it showed the available connection count so we could alert when running out of connections in the pool. currently it shows in use and that is harder to alert on when you have many
MSP Edition
Hi, I�m interested in Opmanager MSP Edition, to serve our customers better. But I want the ability to integrate with CustomerSupport, like the normal opmanager integrates with ServiceDesk. Is this under development? Also, It would be nice to have some more information about desktops from Opmanager MSP Edition. Not so much as from Servicedesk, but information about specification, OS, servicepack, BIOS info, RAM modules would be very nice. Also, if I have 10 customers with same internal IP subnet.
Can requester cancel request?
I am guessing I am just missing something, but is it possible for the requester to simply cancel a request (or close) after it is submitted? For instance, they submit help for lost email, then realize they are on the wrong computer (no, that would never happen), so they just want to cancel it and thus not show as any time alloted out of IT?
Can helpdesk be setup to allow users to logon automatically
I have domain authentication setup and working but would like users to be able to login automatically, is this possible to achieve
back up location

Purchase Order Permissions
They don't seem to work properly or at least how I'd like them. Everyone in our department is allowed to raise a purchase order but when they want to add a vendor or items they need to be in the SD admin role for it to work, you can see why that is not acceptable. Thanks Darren

Hey guys, trying to launch this app to people, i need to be able to assign a new request/ticket to certain techs BUT the end user has to choose ex: location ... USA? UK? and whatever they choose, is who the ticket will go to.. USA -> TOm UK -> Steve. etc anyway i can achieve this? i have been trying with "Groups" but hasnt worked. the end user cant see that field

Connection to RPC server in the workstation failed Solution
I have been having an issue with scanning workstations FAILURE :Connection to RPC server in the workstation failed. After reading the forum and trying all options I noticed user login failures in the event viewer of the workstation. (XP) I rejoined the computer to the domain using the existing account and can scan fine now. Even though the DHCP server had created a lease and there were DNS records for this workstation and the account seemed to be ok, rejoining made the difference. I am not sure why,
MSP Edition - Outlook integration
Hello, We are an IT company looking for both a network management solution and a helpdesk system to serve our customers better. I�m interested in OpManager MSP and ServiceDesk MSP or SupportDesk(?). Are there any Outlook/Exchange integration in these products? We work today with MS mobile devices and ActiveSync. if so, can a technican create a new ticket from the mobile device? Maybe a WAP page? Upgrade to 5032
Hi, i'm unable to upgrade to 5032. We would like to put in production environment the product and buy the 5 tec license before january. but the problems that 'til now i've discovered seems to be all in the Windows 2003 environment and variable: windows 2003 give a lots of errors due to the fact that it cannot interpret via dos command ".\" and "..\" variable (very strange because if i manually open a dos session all function...) via dos upgrade windows the status is: Starting to take backup ....

Product list based on products added to Account. Arrrggghhh
Hi Support, Some new functionality is causing us a few issues! The release notes show "When editing a request, the whole product list was shown. Product list is now displayed based on the Account. " I can understand that some people want this function so that their support staff don't give support on something that the customer isn't registered for. The reason this causes us problems is that we release a new product every month and the customers aren't forced to update. So I could add the new product
Data migration after update from OPManager ver. 6004 to 6010
Hi, I've tried to migrate my data after upgrading the OPManager from version 6004 to version 6010. Therefore, I've backuped the data with the Data Maintenace-Tool when version 6004 was installed and tried to restore the data with this tool after OPManager had been updated to version 6010. The restoring-routine completed successfully, but when I tried to restart the OPManager the startup-procedure failed after nearly 60% of the initialization of OPManager was completed. nic utilization stats on win2k
is nic utilization in the roadmap for windows servers, if so when could i expect it? i find it hard to troubleshoot application performance issue's with out stats on the network utilization on the server. Advanced text filtering in Alert profile
To monitor link errors in Eventlog analyzer, we currently have configured an alert profile which is triggered on text (log message contains): "%LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface Serial" The problem is that both Link up and link down messages hit this Alert. We would like to specify a Link up mesage in another profile then an link down message. Also, the Serial interface is specified in the syslog message (eg. Serial0/0 or Serial 0/1 or Serial 1/3 etc), which makes every syslog message Unique. To solve this
Application Manager doesn't run after reboot
I have installed the Application Manager on one of our spare servers and it has been working great. However yesterday I rebooted the server and now the Application Manager comes up with the Bug Reporting screen. I have tried submitting the bug report and also making a report to e-mail, but neither works. I just get brought right back to the bug reporting screen. I have tried clicking everything else to get past the screen, including cancel, with no luck. I am forced to uninstall the Application Manager

Vista Support for Windows Domain Scan
I am testing Windows Vista in our office to determine if I really want to move to the platform. I am wondering if there is a way to Windows Domain scan for assets in SD+ to a Vista Box. The old dconcnfg doesnt seem to exist in Vista. I really havent dug around too much to see what/how it was replaced yet. Java Exception int NFA 5502

Add Time Entry edit
Sometimes when a technician tries to edit a time entry on a ticket, an hour is added to the time. If the technician isn't paying attention to the time, the ticket will have more time on it than was actually spent. Anyone else see this occur? Or find a cause?
Notification to contact on note addition
Is there anyway to alert a contact when a note has been added to a request? The notification rule for an updated request does not seem to work... Thanks for any help. Matt.
License issue, PIX with failover
We have purchased one license of Firewall Analyzer to monitor a PIX firewall. It is however a firewall setup with failover. Its only usefull to monitor the active PIX so I figured I only needed one license. As the config is replicated to the stand-by PIX so is also the syslog export, and I end up with two PIX'es in Firewall Analyzer. It is then complaining that I should upgrade to one more license. I have tried to delete the stand-by PIX from the software but it keeps coming back. Is there any way
Bug with Spam Filter on "Description Contains"

HP Raid monitoring
I am trying to add an SNMP Trap processor to monitor HP RAID controller events. I have downloaded the latest HP MIB and extracted it to the mibs folder on the OpManager probe. I manage to fix some issues when it complained that OpManager could not find a file, but now it loads and says there are no traps in the CPQ mib files. What do I need to load to get OpManager to process the traps received from the HP server?
General question and RDP
I have a strange question. Does that dos windows have to be open for eventlog analyzer to work? (when you start it from the start menu) What is the service for? It seems to work even if the service is not running. This is all very confusing to me, can someone please clear this up for me? Also, when I start the evenlog analyzer server from an rdp session the system tray icon does not show up and there is an error on the console (not the rdp session) that says: Windows script host script: c:\adventnet\me\eventlog\bin\configureodbc.vbs
Domain Users and File Access
I have just installed Eventlog Analyzer 4 and installed the latest hotfix to make it build 4011. I am monitoring two domain contrllers and another server that has miscelanious services running on it. Been two days of monitoring. I have two imediate concerns: 1. Domain User logon/logoffs do not seem to be recorded anywere in Eventlog Analyzer anywere. 2. I do not seem to see anywere to set up monitoring of successful or failed file or object access. Thank you so much for your time and help
Watchguard 7.3 syslog config
Hi, I have aclient with a watchguard 7.3 firewall and the Firewall analyser is picking the logs up fine but there is no Bytes information. The configuration notes provided state: For version 7.3 , One need to go into "General Setting" area of your proxy and select the check box "Send log message with summary of each transaction". Can I get a little more clarification on the procedure? I assume by "proxy" it is meant the watchguard? The Policy Manager which is used to configure the watchuard does
Alternate Login Page
Given that the SC home page is in .jar format would it be possible to create a login in html, asp or something else to allow for the inclusion of the login form on another webpage? We would like to have faq's, other information and links on the same page that allows login to the SC?
