Password Reports
In the features it shows that in the Password Report feature you can have a report that shows how many users do not require password showing that these users have a blank password. How do I access this feature if it is included?

Hi, A good feature in opmanager is to make a notification profile and apply this to many devices. But it would be nice to have a "monitoring profile" and apply this on several servers, with ready-to-go thresholds and all. Possible?
opmanager demoversion does not recognize win 2003 OS?
Hello, we installed the 30 day demoversion of opmanager. It only recognizes our older (win2k) servers but sees all 2003 machines as workstations. How can I fix this? This way the active directory monitoring does not work as well...

TCP APP display in Interface Group
I have set up an interface group to combine the WAN interfaces of two routers either of which could be used for traffic. This works fine. However, I am seeing the entry TCP_APP as a fairly heavy application. When I click on TCP_APP it displays the sessions involved with port *. However, when I click on the small box that appears after TCP_APP it says there is no data to display. I have set up multiple interface groups and this happens for all of them. Removing options for local authentication

How to scan systems with Windows Firewall enabled?
Is there a port or program setting I can make on remote workstations to allow for ServiceDesk Plus to scan them for HW/SW inventory scanning purposes? Are there any special settings I need to make with McAfee as well? I also noticed that when I tried testing for my workstation using a specific IP address, the entire subnet was being scanned. I also used ethereal to sniff the network and I didn't see any traffic that indicated a scan on my workstation, which suggests that the firewall is blocking
No Data for VPN Reports

OpManager stops collecting history randomly
Twice now within the same ten day period, opmanager has just stopped collecting history, but remains otherwise available. So we have no idea that is has done this until I actually logon to do something and notice that no server is showing any WMI information. Sometimes this will be several days before I notice. We rely on this tool to do uptime reports for 500 servers. We cannot have three day holes like this. Last time this happened, it stayed up for 2.5 days and then stopped collecting data again.

i am looking to use service desk to replace our current system. the only thing stopping me at the moment is an issue with AD. our domain is a tree of 4 domains with top domain (1 for ease) and then 3 domains below (2,3,4). when using service desk to do this scan it can see 1 and 2 but 3 and 4 cannot be contacted.

I need to monitor different devices on very big display and if any of the diveces got and alarm or event (such as network disconnection) it get red on that display. Device Type not found on Discovery
I have been informed that my XP workstations need to have SNMP services running for OPmanager to asign an OS type to them. I dont belive it I am afraid Why? Because my service desk software can tell me all about my workstations via a network scan, right down to the model of the pc etc etc.. Why can't OP manager do this?? I really see no need for the Discovery to be dependant on SNMP for Device type Assignment. I am NOT about to enable or install SNMP on all my XP workstations.
Create user
It would be great if you could add a "Create requestor" button on the Requestor List from the Quick Create dialog. As is now, I "have to close the dialog" then create the requestor.
v5. Assets allocation - Need features
I can allocate asset to department, user or Workstation... It's not enought (as I think)... For Example, I have 10 DIMM modules (separately). 2 of them on my desk (ok, allocated to user... hmmm, may be...), 3 of them in server room in bookshelf, 4 of them in hardware stuff box, and last one somewhere in remote office. Of course, I can make all this places as departments (Bookshelf department, hardware stuff box dept... ) but it's not so clear... :) May be, SD needs some tools for placement management?

We are using fresh machine P-IV 1.72Ghz. 512 MB RAM, OS- WinXP -SP2 for installing Service desk plus version 5.5. But the problem is service for service desk plus starting for a while and get off immediately, without flashing any error. So may I know the reason behind this.

Shortcuts - Mapmaker
Hi, Having created maps with links/shortcuts to other maps, I am getting a rather annoying problem. The links are changing colour and registering a map as having a problem (ie yellow or orange) when all devices are clear. It is just the shortcuts that are not green. I cannot seem to find a reason for this and recreating them does not always work. It happens after a divice has gone down, but when clear, the link doesnt go back to green. viewing the parent and child category?
Is there anyway of viewing the parent and child category. At the moment you can chose a sub category from a parent but you can not see the parent, this can cause problems is you have two or more childern categories that are the same.

Restore data from Build 5501 onto Build 5507?
We've just rebuilt our SDP server and have installed the latest build (5507) onto it. However, when it comes to restore our data which comes from 5501, it says... "Sorry, data cannot be restored. The data to be restored is not compatible with this installation of AdventNet ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus" Any ideas how I can use this data? It seems pointless going all the way back to 5501 just to moved back to 5507. I've also sent this to support@servicedeskplus.com
Annotation of alerts
HI, I like the new feature added on Application manager to be able to add annotations to an alert. However I would like to be able to see the annotation on either the home page tab which lists out the alerts, and would be great if I can append the email action to show an annotation if added. What parameter or value would I use to add the Annotation the the email action?

I am trying to get a report to send to multiple email addresses daily, but once I have selected the report parameters I get into the "report delivery" section I select "new" and then put in "joe@email.com,mary@email.com" and submit but it tells me "Please check the address of the EMail-ID provided." Wish: email settings per account or contact
It would be nice to have the option enable/disable email notifications per account or user. Now it is only possible to set it general. Not every contact or account would like to get email when a request is updated.
Checking additional fields for SLAs
I appreciate that this will be sorted with the MSP version next year, but can we have the ability to check the email fields for a domain rather than an individual address please? We have an sla that depends on the job coming in from anyone@company.co.uk so to be able to check *@company.co.uk would be good. Thanks p.s. Create network map & import into Visio
We are trialing Opmanger and love the product so far. Was wondering if its possible to create network maps with Opmanager. It seems all the data is in there, especially with port mapping working. Is there a way in OpManager, or another tool we can get, that automatically creates nice network maps with the data from OpManager. Also would like to export this data into Visio.
